Wait

Ever seen the waves crashing on the sea shells?

That breaks them.

The pink, ocre and marvellous creations
Sleeping on the sand, waiting,
For the waves to take them to the sea...
But, the waves break them.
Still they remain hopeful.

The farmer growing his crops,
The fertile rain showering her generosity
But it grows humongous, deadly
The crops drown in rotten waters.
But the farmer still loves the rain
Invites the goddess to bring it every year.

He remains hopeful.

Seen the child walking alone?
Down the stairs, known faces crossing by
They stare, sometimes share a glimpse
But leave as soon as the heart beats.
The child, so lonely, but with friends in a world secretive
Lives there laughing, sometimes crying,
Then realising the reality.
It hits hard, just like the waves that hit the shell
Just like the rain that sweeped all joy...

You remain hopeful till breaking point,
But the breaking point does not come.

As if no change is welcomed,
They all look the same
Some whose sweet fragrance lasted a 100 days, and some whose only a day.

But you still hope. Someday things should change,
You are a good human, a good heart
Can God be so ignorant?
So wait till the waves take you to the sea
Wait till the rain brings sunshine with it.
