Life

Life feels like a cruel balance
Where once the right rises, the left must subside
Where once you get rich, happiness must flee
Where once you get joy, success must go blind.

It never reaches the perfect place
Where equally thrives each polarity.

Life feels like a cruel ringmaster
Whipping me to work harder
Wishing to dream seems like a sin
Wandering alone is the dictum of destiny.

It never ceases to hurt
Stinging incessantly like a bunch of bees.

Life is a cruel merchant
Snatching away celebration in return for time
Slicing away pieces of love in return for money
Slashing pals for building the ladder of career.

It grows into a vicious demon
Hungry for more and more.

Yet, we live, we breathe
We hope against the stream
Tears like dewdrops rest on eyelashes
Dreams weaving from fear-coated strings,
For few are lucky and daring,
Most fade away as Goddess Charm averts her gaze.
For few are fortunate and feisty,
Most fade away as Jupiter takes away his blessings.
For most are pessimistic and heartbroken,
Saturn stitches old wounds still bleeding.
