Dreamland!
The Nightingale chirping at the dead of the night
The half-moon hiding behind the grey curtains
The river, radiating silent exuberance
Ready to drown anyone in its mysteries.
I waited near the moist, slippery soil
Losing itself everyday to the river's thirst
I waited, leaning on the bark of a tree unknown
Looked like a thousand years old.
I heard a crack, I heard some steps
The dry leaves walking beneath the fresh arrival of the greens
The tree quaked, I shocked
Thus moved apart from its hug.
The bumble bees buzzing, the fireflies hypnotising,
The squirrels curious looking at me
I thought they want to speak, but it felt intimidating
So I turned back, started running.
Alas! They pulled me!
The vines around grabbed me!
I was being engulfed by the old man
Standing who was for centuries it seemed.
I entered the brown, dense and rough
Losing my breath,
But then I ran into a new world,
With people like me, and all looking like them....
There was my favourite Mowgli!
And there goes Belle and Jasmine!
Ah see! They gave me the address to fairy tail
They said,"You are lucky".
"Few people can come here
This is a world of dreams
With death and birth, and tears and joy
Just like in yours.
But will you be able to leave your Earth
And come to this land?
We assure, we will make you a part of us
You can become what you want
But never go back again!"
What should I do, my friends?
