The morning light blinded me and the constant buzzing of my alarm began to stir me out of my slumber.  I groaned and held the pillow to my face,  trying to slip back into darkness. Not even a moment later the door flung open.
"Danny boy! Get up, it's a brand new day!" PJ said cheerfully ad he pulled the pillow away from my face. I groaned again and rolled over so my nose was inbedded into the mattress,  cherishing the few extra seconds of darkness before I'd have to wake up. Soon after PJ rolled me over so I was staring at the ceiling "Activity time Dan!" The more I ignored him, the louder he seemed to get "come on grab your friends,  well go to very distant wards, with Peej the great and Dan the human the fun will never end, it's activity time" if he hadn't dropped my pillow onto the floor I would've thrown it at him.
"I'm getting up" I mumbled
"Not even an applause!? How rude" he said, mocking irritance before chuckling. I sat up in the bed and Peej took this as a signal to leave. As soon as the door closed I threw myself back down on the bed, wanting an extra five minutes.
"Don't even try Danny" I looked up and made out PJs green eyes staring at me through the now open door. I sighed and got up properly.
PJ closed the door and I went over to my still full suitcase - I was too lazy to even attempt to unpack it.
I got out the first shirt I found and added some jeans. I fixed my hair as best as I could, not that anyone would care about my appearance.  I could walk out of here with a dinosaur onesie on and no one would bat an eye lid... except maybe peej,  he'd probably crack a joke at me.
"Do you do any activities Phil?" I asked the lump in the bed as I began to tie up my laces, he didn't reply. We were back to square one. It's not like I wanted me and Phil to be the best of buds but I liked hearing his voice. It was... nice, husky even. I shook my head. Phil just intrigues me, that's all.

I walked out of the room and saw Peej leaning against the wall. He glanced at his watch and back to me.
"Well aren't you lucky? Another minute and I would've rushed in there with a samari sword to make you hurry up" he grinned at me and then jerked his head sideways "comon.  We're already late"

"Hello there" a women with bright red, frizzy hair welcomed us "pick an instrument and we'll get started"
The first thing that caught my air was a glossy black grand piano. My figures itched to play the beautiful keys but I saw that it was already someone else's choice. I cursed as it was the only instrument I knew how to play - as well as the triangles but they were occupied too. Peej picked up a ukulele and then we were ushered to our seats, no instruments were left for me.
"Does anyone not have an instrument?" The woman asked. I tapped my fingers on my leg anxiously,  hoping she wouldn't notice.  I nearly got away without it too but then PJ ratted me out.
"Dan doesn't" I glared at PJ who was grinning so much I couldn't help but smile too. I shook my head, I can't stay mad at this guy. "'Kay Dan,  you'll be on vocals" shit  okay maybe I could stay mad at PJ. I shook my head stubbornly as she beckoned me to the front.
"No. I-I can't sing" I told her
"What. Like you can't draw?" PJ winked at me and pushed my back to make me stand up.  I stumbled to the front of the group.  Feeling all eyes on me.

"Do you know wonderwall Dan?" She asked me. I thought for a moment, trying to remember the tune and as soon as that came the lyrics flew into my head easily. I nodded and bit my lip.
The woman indicated for the group to start playing, they found the notes easily and had obviously been practising it for for a while.

I started a bit too early but no one seemed to mind:

I started keeping up with the tempo, my voice getting stronger as I did the next verse

I tapped my foot in time, focusing on the beat.  Fitting the lyrics in perfectly.

I looked at the little group to see every one grinning at me as they played. I saw movement by the door and I nearly chocked when I saw someone with black hair watching. I immediately thought it was Phil due to the hair and the fact I'd never seen him around before.   Our eyes connected.  He was gorgeous,  his blue eyes locked onto me. You could go swimming in those eyes.  I licked my lips and got ready to sing the next verse, never losing eye contact

It was like I was serenading him, the words taking over me. Taking on a new meaning.

Phil was shyly smiling at me, his eyes twinkling.

I pointed out, seemingly to the group, but I was aiming at Phil

As I finished the group cheered me, PJ patted my back
"Knew you could do it" he said
But I was barley paying attention, I was just staring into the spot Phil had just been standing in. 

AN: I'm enjoying writing this story ^-^
I was wondering if I should change the title to wonderwall as I think it'd go better???
