I wake up and see the black cat beside me, still asleep. I yawn and get out of bed, I go into the bathroom to get ready for the second day of school. As I get out, I see the black cat by the door, who's bee waiting for me to come out. I kneel down and pet her.

What should I name you?

"Hm...There's a cat here?!" Jason comes into my room, shocked and confused. I glare at him, "Eh... Sorry, I didn't knock, I thought you were in the bathroom." I get up, grab my bag, and head downstairs for breakfast. I didn't realize that Nico was in the kitchen, who just made pancakes
"Oh, good morning, Jack. I made pancakes!" He smiles at me. I smile back and sit down. Then I see the cat walking down the stairs, Nico's eyes widen, "Aiden didn't tell me you guys owned a cat..." I pull out my notepad and pen.
'I found her by my window yesterday.'
"Hm? Oh, I guess that explains it. What's her name?" Nico picks up the cat and lets her rest in his arms. I shrug, "Oh, well maybe think of some names while you're at school. I'll take good care of her while you're gone!" I nod and started to eat.

"Jack!" I turn around and see Tessa running towards me. I wave at her.
Jason playfully hits me on the arm, "Ooh~ Jack, I see you~!" I stick my tongue out at Jason and he laughs.
"Hey!" Tessa giggled, "How are you guys?"
"We're doing fine, what about you?" Jason asks.
"I'm great! I made some new friends and I'm totes excited to make more!"
"You're very social. Maybe you should give our boy, Jack, some tips, yeah?" Kasey appears out of nowhere and puts his arm around Tessa.
'I don't need tips.' I write in my notepad. Tessa's face lights up.
"You kept the notepad I gave you! Even the pen!"
"Ugh..." Kasey pulls Tessa away and glares at me, "We gotta get to class. Come on, Tessa"
"Huh..? But I'm a sophomore--"
"Yeah, yeah whatever." Kasey drags Tessa away and Jason looks at me, as he studies my face.
"You look angry." Jason says, "Is it because of Kasey stealing Tessa from you?"
I shake my head, 'I just met her.'
"Right! Well, you don't believe in love at first sight do you?" I shake my head, no, "Huh... I guess. I need to get to class, you should too. See you later, Jack!" Jason walks away from me. I look down at the notepad. Tessa's my real and only friend right now. I can't lose my only friend.
