It was said that the Amazons never lost, having wonder women amongst their ranks. They were believed to be myths until two explorers, Elena and Nathan Dalton came across a city lost to time. It was filled with treasures beyond their wildest dreams, hard evidence that the Amazons did exist. They lived for the glory and adventure that came with their expeditions, but Themyscira was not meant to be found. They knew they could not share such wonders with the rest of the world.

Cassandra Dalton led a somewhat normal life with two archeologists as parents. She would join them on their expeditions here and there, but she was usually left at home with her Aunt Chloe. Despite her parents rarely being around, Cassandra loved them with all her heart. She adored the trinkets her parents brought home and she longed to follow in their footsteps, wanting to make a mark on the world as they had. But, her life had taken a turn when her parents had brought home crates of items from their latest expedition. They had forbidden Cassandra from going near it, but curiosity was a feeling no one can ignore.

One night, she had snuck into her parents' study and opened the crates to find artifacts upon artifacts. Most looked to be pure gold, glowing underneath the fluorescent lights. But, the items that had caught her eye were a warrior's armor. She found two matching gauntlets, light-weight yet sturdy. There was a golden lasso that glowed bright upon touch, a tiara, and a costume that reminded Cassandra of something an Avenger would wear. Inside the box, Cassandra found paintings of women in similar armor as they held bows and spears.

Cassandra, with a desire to feel as powerful as the women, picked up the armor to put it on, but the moment her fingers brushed against the material, unfathomable power surged through her. It overwhelmed her to the point where her whole world had gone black. It was hours later she had awoken in the hospital to face a very angry Elena and Nathan Dalton. Despite being thrown across the room and breaking her arm, Cassandra was fine after the whole ordeal. But, her DNA was being rewritten to something that would turn her into the extraordinary.

The legends about the Amazons were real, something Cassandra had quickly learned when she realized the powers that coursed through her veins. She had been gifted with superhuman strength and the ability to fly. She kept her powers hidden from her parents and went out to fight crime whenever she could. She became known as Wonder Girl, a beloved hero in all of Maine.

But then, her mother and her whole crew went missing on an expedition.

It had been months as Cassandra and her father waited to hear news of the rescuers finding Elena Dalton, but the news never came. It was time to move on. With the help of his brother, Sam, Nathan had sold the house in Maine and decided to move to New York where the older lived. Cassandra didn't want to leave Maine, but every memory there had become painful. With the hope for a new life, Cassandra was prepared to give New York a chance. But, wherever Wonder Girl went, trouble was bound to follow.

NOTE.
IT'S THE SEASON OF BRINGING BACK OLD FANFICS. Wonder was the first Peter Parker fanfic I had and I still adore Cassandra with all my heart. She is still heavily inspired by Cassandra Sandsmark from DC and her family is inspired by Uncharted! I mentioned Nathan, Sam, and Elena! But, I know the others will be making appearances too!

I am so excited for this book! Most of the plot will remain the same but a lot will be changed because I don't even remember what I originally had tbh! I think this will remain an AU or at least, very briefly go into the Spider-Man movies! I am not too positive with what I want to do yet! I guess I will figure out as I go!

I don't expect updates to come out very fast, but we'll see! It all depends on inspiration, but I still wanted to get this book posted! Slowly, I am trying to get all my drafts out there!
