(In which Mitsuba is not dead and they meet after Kou meets Nene and Hanako)

Kou Minamoto was a pretty outgoing kind of guy. He had a few friends and a lot of support from his older brother and all. He was training hard to become an exorcist and along the way had made even more friends and maybe even some love interests as well. His ideal type was someone with a cute smile. At first, he had a crush on his older friend Yashiro. That was until a boy with reddish pinkish hair had reentered his world.

Sousuke Mitsuba was a contradiction. He could be sweet. He could smile and be nice, although that was all fake sometimes. Kou hadn't paid him much attention until recently. The blonde would catch himself looking over at the shorter teen. Mitsuba noticed, but neglected to say anything, because it was possible that he too was staring back.

At lunch, Kou's friends went off without him. He sighed and saw Sousuke sitting by himself staring outside the window. Maybe now was his chance to speak up. He got up and sat in front of him. "Hey- Mitsuba right? Ah.. I was wondering if you wanted to eat lunch with me. I have extras too." Kou said smiling as bright as the sun. This struck Mitsuba by surprise. He could get lost in those pretty blue eyes if he wasn't careful. "Yeah, we can eat lunch together." He said smiling slightly, maybe a bit too happy to possibly be making a friend.

Time passed on and Kou found himself ditching his other friends to hang out with Sousuke. Slowly, he had started to unveil the real Mitsuba and although it was unexpected, he kind of liked the sassy or rude side too. Mitsuba was honestly just kind of scared of losing Kou. Kou was pretty much his only friend and he was starting to feel too clingy, too attached.

It was just another day. Kou and Sousuke were just walking home with each other. It was the norm now. "So when are you gonna invite me into your house Sousuke?" Kou smiled as brightly as always. "Tch.. you wish you pervert. I'm sure you'd only take advantage of such a cute guy like me." He said smiling and sticking out his tongue out. "Uh huh- sure Sou." Kou said rolling his eyes and hesitantly reached for his hand, which was covered by his sleeve. The blonde grabbed it and blushed slightly as he swung their arms a little.

Sousuke was an absolute blushing mess, but didn't want to insult Kou or call him out this time. If Kou pulled away now, Mitsuba might actually start crying and not like his usual crocodile tears. "Well Sousuke- I'll see you tomorrow yeah?" Kou said letting go of his hand. Kou was kind of surprised Sousuke let him even touch him at all. He was excited, happy, maybe even euphoric. "Of course you will you weirdo! U- um.. but maybe can I try something?" The pink haired teen said looking about eye level to the blonde as his cheeks just wouldn't give up their tinted pink hue.

"Try something..? I mean go for it Sou." He said smiling nervously. Mitsuba sighed and kissed his cheek before flushing red and running into his house. Kou just stood there contemplating his entire existence as he heard the door slam shut. He touched his cheek and smiled super sweetly as he started to laugh and run home himself.
