Love and Thunder special.

Jane Foster, one of the world's leading astrophysicists, the world's foremost astronomer, the creator of the Foster Theory, and now the new Thor.

But that was the last thing she wanted. She didn't think she deserved it. She remembered when she was declared Thor.

A couple years after deafening Thanos, Thor attempted to find inner peace, but had return to action and recruit Valkyrie, Korg, and Jane to stop Gorr the God Butcher from eliminating all gods.

Jane had recently gotten Thor's hammer at the time and figured she knew what she was doing, so she went after Gorr in a attempt to defeat him. That ended up being a horrible mistake.

She ended up biting more than she could chew and was almost killed. If it hadn't been for Thor, she would have died. But now Thor was gone. Because of her.

She flew through the night sky like a shooting star. She didn't want to be Thor. She wasn't Thor. She was a woman in Thors armor, acting as if she was Thor. She needed some time to think. She landed on the roof of a nearby house and sat down. She rubbed her eyes and sighed.

Jane Foster sat alone on the rooftop, her body tense and weary from the recent battles she had faced as the new Thor. The weight of the mantle she now carried felt heavier than ever before. She gazed up at the starry night sky, its vastness a stark reminder of the vastness of her responsibilities.

As the cool breeze rustled through her hair, memories of her encounter with Gorr the God Butcher flooded her mind. The overwhelming power and darkness that emanated from him had tested her limits. She had underestimated the danger, believing that she was capable of defeating him on her own. It was a mistake that had almost cost her life.

Guilt gnawed at Jane's heart as she thought about Thor's sacrifice. He had come to her rescue, his mighty presence shielding her from certain death. But now, he was gone. And she couldn't help but blame herself for his absence. If she hadn't been so reckless, so sure of her own abilities, maybe he would still be here.

Tears welled up in Jane's eyes as she wrestled with her conflicting emotions. She had never sought to become Thor, never desired the power and responsibility that came with it. She had been content in her role as an astrophysicist, exploring the wonders of the universe. But fate had other plans, and now she was burdened with a role she didn't feel worthy of.

"I'm not Thor," she whispered to herself, her voice barely audible against the night. "I'm just pretending to be someone I'm not."

She closed her eyes and took a deep breath, feeling the weight of the hammer in her grip. The hum of its power resonated through her, a reminder of the immense potential within her grasp. But it also served as a reminder of the immense responsibility that came with it.

Inside the cozy confines of his home, Y/N Rogers found solace within the pages of a book. Immersed in a world of words and imagination, he sought a moment of respite from the chaos that often permeated his mind. As he turned a page, a faint sound caught his attention, interrupting the tranquility of the room.

Curiosity sparked within Y/N as he listened intently, trying to discern the source of the disturbance. Was it a figment of his imagination, a mere echo bouncing off the walls of his thoughts? Or was there something more?

Leaving his book behind, Y/N followed the sound, his footsteps carrying him closer to the mystery unfolding just beyond his door. As he ascended the stairs, his heart quickened its pace, anticipation mingling with a hint of concern.

Pushing open the door that led to the rooftop, Y/N's gaze swept across the darkened expanse, searching for answers. There, amidst the moonlit shadows, he spotted her—Jane Foster, the woman burdened with the mantle of Thor. Her presence, once mighty and vibrant, now seemed weighed down by an invisible sorrow.

Y/N approached Jane cautiously, his steps careful and gentle. He could sense the weight of her emotions, the struggle etched upon her face. Without a word, he sat down beside her, offering a silent presence, a beacon of support.

"I heard something on the roof," Y/N said softly, his voice carrying a blend of concern and curiosity. "And then I saw you... Jane, is everything alright?"

Startled by his presence, Jane turned to face Y/N, her eyes reflecting a mixture of surprise and gratitude. She hesitated for a moment, grappling with the complexity of her emotions before finally finding her voice.

"I... I needed some time alone, to sort through my thoughts," Jane admitted, her voice tinged with vulnerability. "Being Thor, it's not what I expected, and I'm not sure if I'm the right person for this role."

Y/N listened attentively, his empathetic nature guiding his responses. He reached out a hand, gently resting it on Jane's, offering a subtle reassurance.

"Jane, you're an incredible person. I've seen the kindness and strength that reside within you," Y/N said, his voice filled with unwavering support. "It's natural to doubt yourself, especially when faced with such monumental responsibilities. But remember, you're not alone in this journey. We're here for you."

Jane glanced at Y/N, a mixture of gratitude and longing in her eyes. She realized that in her darkest moments, she had forgotten the power of connection, the strength that came from opening her heart to others.

"Thank you, Y/N," she whispered, her voice filled with a newfound resolve. "I needed this reminder. I can't let doubt consume me. I have a duty to fulfill, and I won't let myself or those who believe in me down."

Y/N smiled warmly, his unwavering belief in Jane's potential shining through his eyes. Together, they sat on the rooftop, sharing the weight of the world while embracing the strength of their connection.

As the night sky spread its blanket of stars above them, Y/N and Jane found solace in each other's presence. They knew that the road ahead wouldn't be easy, but with unwavering support and the power of their friendship, they would face the challenges together, one step at a time.

Y/N's gaze shifted towards the hammer that lay beside Jane, its weight and power palpable in the night air. A curious spark ignited within him as he pondered the significance of the legendary weapon. He turned to Jane, his eyes filled with intrigue.

"That hammer, it's fascinating," Y/N remarked, his voice laced with genuine curiosity. "May I... try lifting it?"

Jane's eyebrows arched in surprise, not expecting Y/N's request. After a brief moment of consideration, she nodded, granting him permission to test the limits of the enchanted weapon. She watched with anticipation as Y/N reached out and firmly grasped the hammer's handle.

To Jane's astonishment, Y/N's hand effortlessly lifted the hammer from its resting place. A mixture of surprise and awe washed over her face, mirroring the disbelief of witnessing an unexpected event.

"You... you lifted it," Jane stammered, her voice filled with genuine astonishment.

Y/N's eyes met Jane's, a gentle smile playing on his lips. "You know, life is a lot like that," he said, his voice filled with a thoughtful tone. "Something that may be very easy for one person might be difficult for others. Have you found that to be true?"

Jane's astonishment slowly transformed into contemplation, her gaze drifting towards the stars above. She pondered Y/N's words, their truth resonating deep within her. The weight of the hammer symbolized not only physical strength but the metaphorical burdens each individual carried in their own lives.

"Yes, I've seen it," Jane replied softly, her voice tinged with a mixture of introspection and gratitude. "Each person faces their own challenges, their own battles. What may appear simple to one can be an insurmountable obstacle for another."

Y/N nodded, his eyes reflecting a profound understanding. "That's the beauty of life, isn't it? Our unique journeys, our different strengths and weaknesses. It's what makes us who we are."

Y/N smiled as he looked at her. "Wanna know why that is? I think it's because everyone is special and unique in different ways. Just because someone has difficulty lifting your hammer, doesn't mean they aren't talented in other ways. In fact, I suspect those individuals can probably do things you and I would never dream of."

Jane smiled as she listened to him. "That's very wise of you. I'm humbled by your counsel."

Y/N smiled. "And I am so glad you decided to visit today."
