Chapter 55 : Dream
last five chaps :(
☆☆☆
After our classes, Jungkook and I decided to go to the Pierre near Elliot Bay to have fun at night.
Well, we also considered it as our first date outside and I feel nervous about it. I never had a single romantic date in my entire life. I've only imagined having one with Jungkook in my head before and now it's becoming a reality.
I always planned to wear a cute dress and sparkly doll shoes when this time comes, never did I imagine that it was going to be this way. We planned to meet outside the building at six in the evening, so using the spare hour I researched online for winter outfits that men usually wear on their date.
Browsing around the internet, I never really liked one outfit I saw. My female preferences are interfering with my decisions, so I gave up on searching online.
I opened my wardrobe and took a deep breath when I noticed how few my unisex clothes are.
An idea struck into my mind so I grab one oversized shirt and black long sleeves. I wore the black long sleeves first before adding the shirt on top. Fortunately, the white shirt is overwhelmingly thick so I think it'll be enough to keep me warm outside. I put on simple pants with a pair of leggings inside along with black male boots that I bought the other day.
I looked in the mirror after styling myself, I must say that I look decent and presentable enough.
Once I received Jungkook's message that he is already outside, I slipped my phone and wallet inside my pockets and grabbed a black scarf before going out of my room.
I saw Jungkook standing just outside the entrance of the building, so I surprised him by giving him a back hug. He wondered who it was, so when he turned around he greeted me with a smile. I wanted to kiss him on the lips until I heard two people fake coughing on one corner.
"Ehem! Respect the singles," Eunwoo muttered and I roll my eyes at them.
"You're going with us?" I asked the two and they both shake their head no.
"We're just going to drop you at your desired location per request of our dear friend Jeon." Jaehyun acted as if he was some kind of butler or something and I appreciated the gesture. It is a good thing that Jungkook knows who to befriend, he always ends up being friends with understanding people.
Like the last time, Jaehyun was the one who mans the steering wheel. I heard that they are also going to a party so that's why they agreed to give us a ride.
Once they dropped us to our location, "Have fun!" They waved us goodbyes with evil smirks.
"Let's go?" Jungkook asked me. We entered the theme park that I've already heard countless times before. I heard that it was a four-dimensional flying theater.
Once we entered the place, we were welcomed by the staff and a camp-like ambiance. The room is made out of wood and there are a lot of things displayed inside like wooden statues of bird, map of Washington, old pictures of historical persons, and more.
We were sent to the briefing area, and since then Jungkook never let my hand slip from his. He truly is proud of having me and so do I.
After the short reminders from the staff, they guided the two of us and the rest of the visitors to the main attraction. We saw a large screen that fills one wall of the room, then there are seats in the middle. It looked nothing special and I started to think that this date might be an epic fail.
We were told by the staff to choose our desired seats so Jungkook and I picked the area in the middle. Later on, all the lights turned off. "Was the electricity out?" I asked my boyfriend.
"Babe, I doubt that." He answered.
A few seconds after that, our seats started shaking and I was worried if it might be an earthquake prank or something. I learned at a young age not to trust theme parks. But what happened in our seats started to go vertically from horizontally.
We were hanging in the air!
The light from the big screen welcomed us and then the show started. An eagle started flying on the screen and we were like following behind it. Our seats move along with the same direction of the video shown on the screen.
I've been only to Seattle and I haven't discovered the rest of Washington. The video showed the falls, it feels like we were really flying over it, considering that we can both feel mists of water. We're still following the eagle and we were heading to the ocean, a couple of seconds later the eagle was out from the screen. I can smell saltwater and I can see dolphins jumping from the ocean. What surprised both of us was the huge whale that splashed water to us.
Jungkook and I laughed at how we were caught off guard.
It felt like I was traveling the whole of Washington side by side with Jungkook. I briefly looked at him for a moment and saw how happy he is. He must've felt my stare and looked at me too.
He winked at me and Jungkook Jeon gave my heart a mini heart attack. As a defense, I curled my nose and stuck out my tongue at him.
I immediately turned back to the screen when I started smelling flowers. We were flying above a beautiful and colorful tulip farm. The smell is too overwhelming that I accidentally sneezed.
"Are you okay?" Jungkook worried and I laughed.
"Yep, the flowers just smelled too good." I grinned.
We were up in the air for five to ten minutes and it was fun. The moment we got out of the theater, I noticed a souvenir shop and I pulled Jungkook towards its direction.
I never planned to buy something, I just wanted to look around at first but then something caught my eye. "Hey, let's get two of this." I showed Jungkook a ring which has an ancient design of a Jasmine flower.
"Really? A ring? With a flower?" He scoffed and it took away my good mood.
"Fine," I tossed the ring back from its holder. "Let's just eat, please?" He shakes his head, yes and we both headed out.
We ended up in a seafood restaurant where their main specialty is crabs.
Imagine how deep my sigh of relief was when the waiter said that lobsters are not available.
To be honest, I liked Jungkook's habit wherein he usually slices my food for me to comfortably eat. He is a true gentleman.
I always wanted to do the same, but I'm awkward and things get messy when I do the same thing. I don't know, maybe because it's Jungkook I'm referring to. Now that we're in a relationship, I get even more anxious around him.
"Hey, can you get me the sauce?" Jungkook asked a favor and I did what he asked. I poured the sauce on another spare plate and he thanked me for it.
While eating, Jungkook's phone vibrates and we both saw it since it is placed on the table. He looked at the caller ID and he showed to me who it was.
"Go ahead, answer them." I nodded my head with a smile. His gang from Vancouver is calling from our group chat. Mine didn't ring because I turned on do not disturb mode.
"Hey, Deonne say hi to them." Jungkook showed me his screen and there are six people on the video call.
"Hi," I greeted.
"So, look who is on a date," Jimin smirked.
I mouthed the words 'They know?' to Jungkook and he nodded. "Yes, Deonne we know," Hoseok answered, I forgot I was still visible in the camera.
"When did it start?" Taehyung curiously asked. I saw him smiling, but I don't know what it means. Do they accept us or they're just starting to convince us that this is wrong?
"Last Sunday night." Jungkook was the one who answered.
"I never thought I'll see you both together," Namjoon spoke too seriously. But then my fear was replaced by delight when he added, "I hope you're both happy."
"Thank you, Namjoon." I smiled back at him. The rest followed with their own versions of congratulating us and I feel like they're treating us like a married couple.
"So what happened on your date?" Jin wondered.
"Share something juicy please, I'm running out of contents." Jimin pouted.
"Shut your filthy mouth, Jimin." Yoongi snarled at him after being silent the entire time. I think he is not pleased with the information that I'm having a relationship with Jungkook with everyone knowing that I'm a man.
I stared at Yoongi and he glared back. I'm going to explain this to him later, I'm a woman of my words, I'll tell Jungkook the truth once I find the right time to tell it. Although I'm still not ready for it, I have to be.
"So far, we're still in the middle of our date when you called. Oh! Do you know that there is this thing called flying theater here?" Jungkook told to the older guys with too much enthusiasm. The others treat him like their baby even though he is bigger than Yoongi or Jimin, and I find it amusing. It's because they really care for him.
They are happy for him, for us. I hope they still do when the truth gets out.
Minutes later, the call ended and we resumed eating our foods. Once we're finished, the huge ferris wheel caught our attention outside so we run towards it for us to have a ride.
"Hey, two tickets please," I told the old lady who is manning the ticket booth.
"Sorry boys, the ferris wheel will close. Just come back tomorrow." She said.
"But it isn't close yet," I complained.
"Deonne, it's okay. We'll just come back here." Jungkook persuades me using his beautiful smile and I give in.
"Promise?"
"Yes, I promise."
Instead of enjoying the view on the top through the ferris wheel, Jungkook and I sat on a bench that faces the bay. The wind is so strong and I'm freezing.
"Here, scoot closer," Jungkook said and I did what he wanted. He hugs me tightly and I felt warmth.
I feel loved.
I know that this isn't just some image that I created in my head, it's a beautiful dream.
And I hope that it takes a long time before we both wake up to reality.
