Chapter 54 : Forever

Jungkook's friends are unexpectedly nicer than I thought they would be. In a span of two days, they managed to hit a soft spot in me and it just happened that I'm now friends with them too.

Eunwoo and Jaehyun were right, the people around us were not mean to us whenever they see us holding hands outside. It's like a relationship like ours is normal in today's society. Well, not entirely normal because of some factors. But I'm happy that our relationship is far better than I expected.

Unlike before where it was just Jungkook and me who are eating together during lunch, Jaehyun and Eunwoo join us now. Making our table a lot noisier and okay, happier.

I suddenly remember the others in Vancouver. They're the true definition of first-class jerks but you will never deny that they are fun to be with.

After having lunch at the cafeteria, Jungkook and I stayed in the garden to breathe some fresh air. We sit on a bench and watch the clear sky. He guides my head on his shoulder and I comfortably did what he wanted.

"You really feel the same about me right?" He asked for nth time while he plays my fingers with his.

"Jungkook, my answer to that question will always be yes." I giggled.

"It's not out of pity, right?" His voice has less confidence this time. I tilted my face on the side and looked at him with a frown on my lips.

"No," I firmly stated. "You know I've been hiding my feelings for you for a long time. What we are now isn't because of pity, it's because of... love." I smiled at him. He sighed before placing his soft plump lips on my forehead again.

"You smell like strawberry, mind sharing me the brand of your soap?" He jokes and I lightheartedly giggled.

I'm afraid I'm getting used to this. This situation where Jungkook and I are peaceful lovebirds and nothing is hindering us from loving each other. Will it end? I know that I still have to tell him something that might change this whole situation.

I'm really wishing that he will still accept me once he finds out the truth. He will forgive me if he really loves me, right? Besides, just like what I told Yoongi before if ever his phobia was triggered because of my sudden confession, I'll help him again. I did it once, I'll probably do it again if necessary. I will do anything to make things work for both of us.

"Hey, Deonne, I have another question." He stated and I hummed as a sign for him to continue. "You're the one who took a photo of me the other day, didn't you?"

I lifted my head from his shoulder and stared at his doe eyes. "How did you know?"

"Black hoodie, small, and skinny. It has to be you." He teased and I was about to pinch his waist but he dodged it.

"That was mean," I pouted. He suddenly pinched both of my cheeks, taunting me even more.

"You really look tiny in my eyes though," He commented and this time I arched my eyebrow making him laugh. "Don't worry, babe. It makes me want to protect you even more."

My heart automatically melted the moment he called me with a sudden endearment.

I shoved his hands away from my faces as I feel them burning up. But then, he ruffled my hair and made a mess out of it. "Want me to braid your hair?" He asked.

"You can?" I asked back and he excitedly nodded.

I turn my back on him and he started tugging my hair gently. After a minute, he tapped my shoulder indicating that it was done. I faced him again and I saw his pupils dilated before laughing. With a furrowed temple, I slid my hand inside my pocket for my phone and looked at my reflection.

"Hey!" I exclaimed when I noticed that he didn't tie it into a man bun, he tied it sprout-like. I immediately decided to take it off but Jungkook's hand stopped me.

"Wait, wait." He said. Taking his phone out, I suddenly heard shutters from it. He is taking a picture of me. I took the tie out of my hair and covered my face.

"Stop!" I whined.

"It's done, you can come out now." He chuckled.

"What was that for?" I asked after removing my hands from my face. Instead of answering me, he pulled me in for a tight hug and whispered something in my ear.

"Let's stay like this, forever."

=====

As soon as I stepped out of the Creativity Development's room, I sighed. Our professor told us to create art that is out of the box. Fortunately, it was an individual project and therefore I don't need to carry someone else's grades again.

Jungkook told me that he will go to the gym with his friends after classes. He invited me to come with them, but I refused. The last time I exercised with him didn't go well for my lungs. Of course, Jungkook being himself, he insisted because he said he wanted to have more quality time with his boyfriend.

He is my boyfriend. I've always dreamt of this since I was a child and now it happened. Aside from the fact that he considers me as his boyfriend as well and not as a girlfriend.

I was on my way to the dormitories building when someone called my fake name. I turned around to see a familiar face hiding behind the wall.

I walked towards her, "Hey." I greeted and faked a timid smile.

"Can I talk to you?" She asked and I nodded for her to continue. "Well, not here, let's go somewhere else."

I followed her towards the direction of the... girls' comfort room? "Wait, you know I can't go inside right?" I asked her.

"You can, it's not like your the first guy who will enter the ladies' bathroom," She pulled me inside by force but it's not like I'm bothered entering the comfort room, I perfectly know that I've been in one a couple of times ever since I was born. I just needed to pull an act.

Surprisingly, the room is vacant. Students must be in their classrooms at this time. "What do you want to talk about?" I crossed my arms in front of my chest and leaned my back on the sink.

"I heard you and Jungkook are a thing now." She scoffed and rolled her eyes. "What a huge plot twist, right? He dumped me for someone like... you."

"Thank you, for your compliment." I batted my eyes. "Now, straight to the point," I demanded.

"Break up with him." She blurted out.

"And why should I listen to you?" I raised my eyebrow at her.

"Because you have to, or else I'll make him do it, instead." She threatened and I sarcastically laughed.

"He will never do that." I firmly stated.

"You know, Deonne. Aside from being gay, which I was right by the way, I also smell something fishier in you." She walks closer to me. "If you don't want me to find out what it is, better do yourself a favor." She said in a breathy tone.

"I have nothing to hide," I said with confidence, attempting to intimidate her.

"We'll see, Deonne. We'll see." Vanessa narrowed her eyes at me before leaving me inside the comfort room.
