Hush boy, oh hush boy, don't say a word
Throw on a jersey and no one gets hurt
Hush girl, oh hush girl, just bat your eyes
Play our little game, play our little game

My stomach was twisting with nerves as I waited on the couch. Lindsey was picking up Gerard today and I was so nervous to see him again. I knew it would probably be fine but I just wanted to make sure. The only reason that I didn't go was because I wanted to be dressed up all cute for him and couldn't do that if I went out to pick him up.
"Oh my god, babygirl," Gerard muttered.
I let out a cry, jumping up into his arms. He spun me around, sobbing as he squeezed me tight.
"Oh god, I'm so sorry," he cried. "I-I'm so sorry. I treated you so awfully. You deserve so much better. You deserve better. I'm sorry for everything that I did."
I sniffled, wiping away his tears when he set me down.
"I-I got you something, a gift," he said. "I made it, actually. It's about time I put my art skills to use."
He grabbed a bag and I pulled something red out of it. I gasped when I saw my old prom dress.
"You remade my dress?" I asked.
"Yeah, you were really upset when you destroyed it and I remembered what it looked like so I decided to ask for some fabric so I could remake it for you," he said.
"Oh, Gee, this is amazing," I said.
"For my beautiful, beautiful girlfriend," he said.
I smiled, giving him a soft kiss.
"I missed you a lot," he said. "God, more than anything. I love you so much."
"I love you too," I said.
He gave me a hug, holding me tight.
"God, you're the best," he muttered. "Thank you for sticking with me through this, I know that it must've been hard on you and I've been gone for a while. It's okay if you don't want to stay with me after all of this."
I frowned, holding onto his hand.
"I love you more than anything and I do want to stay with you," I said. "And, you know, maybe one day we could live together happily ever after."
"I would like that a lot," he said. "Let me go throw my clothes into the washer. Put a movie on, we can snuggle up together. Unless you would rather go out for dinner."
"No, I would like to stay in," I said. "I got all dressed up for you and I don't wanna take it all off just to wear a hoodie."
"And you look absolutely adorable," he said. "God, you are just so, so beautiful. I can't believe how cute you are. I think you're even cuter now."
"Well, I have been on estrogen longer," I said.
"No, you don't need estrogen to be beautiful," he said. "There's just something different about you. You have a certain glow to you, you're even more radiant and beautiful."
"I'm just happy that I'm seeing you again," I said.
"Well, it's a good thing that you are, because I have another little surprise for you," he said. "We are going to have a fancy dinner."
"I don't really wanna go out," I said.
"No, not out," he said. "I was gonna make you a fancy dinner so that way we could stay home and you can stay all dressed up."
I smiled, giving him a soft kiss. He got dressed into a suit before going to the kitchen to cook. I went back to the master bathroom and sat at the vanity. I curled my hair and pinned some of it back before getting into my new-old prom dress.
"Alright, Frankie, it's done," he said.
I went out and he froze when he saw me.
"Holy..." he trailed off. "You look absolutely amazing."
I blushed, looking down. He tilted my head up and gave me a gentle kiss. I deepened it, wrapping my arms around his neck.
"Maybe we could skip dinner," I whispered, tugging his hand in the direction of the bedroom.
"Wait, that would ruin the surprise," he said.
"I thought the dinner was the surprise," I said in confusion.
Gerard smiled and sat me down at the table in front of a plate of food. He sat across from me. The room was dim with candles lit everywhere and rose petals scattered on the ground. We began eating as he played soft music.
"What's the surprise?" I asked.
"You just have to wait and see," he said.
"No, I hate surprises," I said.
Gerard smirked. "I know."
He held my hand across the table and I smiled.
"Sweetheart, I promise that you are going to love it," he said.
"Pretty please?" I asked.
"Just wait for dessert," he said.
Time couldn't seem to move any slower and he brought out two bowls of ice cream sundaes.
"What's the surprise?" I asked.
"Just eat," he said.
I sighed, picking up my spoon. I went to take a bite but frowned when I saw his had a cherry on top but mine didn't.
Mine had a ring on top.
"Wh-what is this?" I asked.
"What do you think it is?" Gerard asked with a smirk.
"A-are you proposing?" I asked.
Gerard smiled and my eyes began to water.
"Oh my god, you're proposing," I whimpered.
" You're the one for me, I know it," he said. "And I really do want to spend the rest of my life with you. We've had our ups and our downs. And there's probably going to be more downs. I know that with my addiction we are going to go through a lot of struggles and some days will be harder than others but I really think that it's going to be okay. I want to spend the rest of my life with you. I want to start a family with you. You're the woman for me. Do you want that too?"
I cried as I nodded. Gerard wiped off the ring before sliding it onto my finger.
"So, good surprise?" He asked.
"Amazing," I said.
I went over and sat in his lap, giving him a kiss.
"I love you so much," I whispered.
"I love you too, baby," he said. "I think your mom would be really proud of you right now?"
"You think so?" I asked.
"I know so," Gerard stated. "She would be so proud of you and the amazing woman that you're becoming. You are so beautiful in every single way."
I held his hand, pulling him up and back towards the bedroom.
"What about the ice cream? It's gonna melt," he said.
"Screw the ice cream," I said. "I just want to spend time cuddling with my amazing, most perfect fiance."
We changed into some comfy clothes and curled up in the bed together. Things could be tough between us but soon we would be bound together for the rest of our lives, just the way we both wanted.
