Hey, I hope everyone has enjoyed their winter break and are adjusting to school again! Anyhow, on to the chapter!

When I thought things couldn't get any crazier, I was proved dead wrong the past couple of days since the council meeting. My status had changed from former Alpha gone rogue. To now my being prepared to be the future Queen, a Luna of this entire land.

Never in my days had I imagined something like this happening to me. Especially having someone styling my hair for me, making it polished and straighter than i've ever seen it. Also My whole wardrobe's changed from pants and fitted shirts into dresses and slippers much like the queen wears.

"Done, my lady..."

I look up at them through the mirrors. "Thank you, Trish, Momo..."

They nod their eyes avoiding meeting my gaze.

Ah, yes, I'd almost forgotten about this little gem, people wouldn't meet my gaze now. Not because of the fact that I was going to be a Luna but because of the detailed swirls that now marked my body and the crescent moon smack dab on my forehead. Oh, and I found that there is also a Sun in between my shoulder blades.

The doors open and I see Ara step inside, weapons at her side like always.

Trish and Momo step aside quickly bowing their heads and leaving the room, the door clicking closed.

I stand up and face away from the vanity.

"Well haven't they polished you all up." she says, smirking.

I glare at her playfully. "You're gonna talk like that to your future Queen?"

"Hmm, maybe." she says thoughtfully.

I laugh. "Take a walk with me?"

"Why, even ask? I'm obligated."

"I know... but I'm still asking as a friend, not the head of my security detail." I say crossing my arms.

Also another thing, Ara was now the head of my security detail put together by Leo. I thought it ridiculous he knows that I am more than capable of taking care of myself.

Ara, looks at me as we go down the halls. "I know what you're thinking but his royal highness is only doing what he thinks is best to protect you... after all you are his mate, plus there will be people who try to target you because of who you are and what you know."

I sigh, she was right, Leo was trying to protect me. Even though I hated the thought of someone else getting injured trying to protect me.

I stop just before the entrance of the gardens feeling someone's gaze on me, when I turn I see the Queen approaching with Erik at her side. Some part of me was happy to see him and at the same time I was a little anxious.

"Your Majesty..." Says Ara, bowing. and then she turns to Erik next slightly inclining her head. "Alpha."

"Luna..." I curtsy and then I nod at Erik but I couldn't meet his eyes, not sure of what I'd see there. "Alpha..."

"Ara," he says acknowledging her and then I feel his gaze turn to me again. "Princess."

"Oh, Amelia dear there is no need for you to be so formal, we are going to be family soon after all! please just call me Elisa ." she turns to Ara, "You as well Arabella since you'll be spending a lot of time with us."

Ara looks at me from the corner of her eye.

I nod encouragingly.

"Yes... Elisa... Ma'am..." She answers a little awkwardly.

Elisa smiles. "How cute!I can see why Winston is so fond of her..."

This makes me smile.

From the corner of my eyes I see the flash of white signaling that Erik is smiling as well.

Ara looks at both of us, her eyes narrowed.

"But back to why we're here, Erik here is being added to your detail as well to help Arabella when it's needed."

"I'll be grateful for the assistance." She says.

Elisa brings her hands together happily. "Oh, I'm so excited, it's like it was meant to be! I've always been worried that Leo would never settle down and then he met you and I could see the change in him..."

I arch one eyebrow. There was a change? The way that he was a playboy?

Her smile slightly wanes. "Especially the day that you disappeared... or rather left. He became silent for a while."

I feel Erik's gaze on me once more.

"But then something lit inside of him and he's been a busy body ever since and the moment that they said they'd found you... I hadn't seen him that excited in years, there was actual light in his eyes." She turns around to me grasping my hands in hers. "The goddess obviously approves of this union," She gestures to the markings on my body. "I couldn't imagine anyone else better to stand by his side."

I smile. "Thank you, I'm honored to be able to do so."

She smiles. "Well my dear, I'll see tomorrow for your first lesson." She turns to Ara. "I need to talk to you Arabella."

Ara nods and then looks at me and Erik. "Alpha, Amelia,"

She leaves with the Queen, leaving me awkwardly with Erik. Neither of us saying anything.

"Can I escort you somewhere, My Lady?" Asks Erik.

I look into his eyes expecting to see the normal brightness they usually held, the confidence and kindness that made up his personality. But they are noticeably darker and closed off I couldn't feel his wolf, usually I could feel his presence.

"Erik are you alright?" I ask.

"I'm fine. Thank you, My Lady for your concern." He answers.

Knowing that I wasn't going to get anything out of him in this mood, I back off sighing a little. "You can come with me to the gardens, that's where I was originally headed."

"Of course." He offers his arm.

I take it.
