*Drags self from the ashes of Exam week and claws way to the surface* Phew, Finals week is finally over and I made it through, so that finally means Summer! Yay! I hope all of your exams are going well as your school year comes to a close. But enough rambling on to the chapter!

"That's all you could get out of him?" Asks Leo, pacing in front of where his father and mother sat.

In one part of the room Luna stood beside Ara along with Winston and Orion.

I sigh. "All he mentioned that he met with a man, like Winston said. But he never really saw any facial features. The man he met with always had himself cloaked."

The kings rubs his face almost tiredly, these days his age seemed to be catching up with him. Though he would hardly admit that, over his dead body.

"Are you alright, you highness?"

His highness looks up at me a slight smile on his face. "I'm fine, thank you for asking, my boy."

The Queen rubs his back in slow circles smiling at me and then her attention turns to Ara and Luna in the back. "Luna, dear, Is there anything you might sense from that man?"

She shakes her head, her silver lined eyes, holding an apology. Her face scrunched up in a slight frown, the expression very similar to Amelia's. "No, I picked up that what he told you was the truth, but there was something else that I couldn't sense clearly."

"That rat it still trying to hide something from us," scoffs Leo, sightly growling.

"I heard that he wanted to speak to me- Amelia, so let me speak to him and I might be able to get something more out of him."

Leo, turns to her. "Absolutely not, I will not allow it."

She stares the prince in the eyes. "Look, I know you have no reason to trust me but," she turns to me, "I can do this but you have got to trust me."

"I'm sorry Luna, but I'll have to agree with his highness. Besides, he'll know that something is up, you- you're different from Amelia."

Her head turns to the side a little confusedly and then her eyes widen in understanding. And then all of a sudden the color of her eyes change back into the familiar hazel that I loved.

She smiles. "How about now?"

Ara looks at me wide eyed along with everybody else.

Winston's the first to break the silence. "Well I think that proves that she is more than qualified,"

Ara elbows him.

He chuckles nervously.

We stand outside of the cell that Van currently resided in most likely for the remainder of his life or until they decided otherwise and moved him to the Pit.

I turn to Luna. "Are you sure you want to do this?"

She gives me a look that seems to say: "I wouldn't be here if wasn't sure."

I nod once and open the door leading to the room where Van was chained up to the wall. Upon hearing the door open his head comes up looking at us coming in through the door, I shut it before coming over and lighting a torch.

"Well, well. Look who came for a visit. Sorry I didn't have the time to clean up the place... I'm a little tied up these days." and then he looks over and sees Luna, and slightly gasps. "Princess, finally something to brighten up this dreary place. I'm guessing they told you that I was being a little resilient."

"I'm here now talk." She states bluntly.

"Aw, is that anyway to talk to an old friend?" He smirks.

She growls. "You are no friend of mine." she steps closer to him. "Now talk or I'm afraid that I'll have to stop being so nice,"

He slightly chuckles. "Alright, alright, princess... I'll talk. But I'm afraid I won't talk with Mr. Alpha over there."

"That is not an action that can be allowed. Anything you say will be heard by the Alpha."

He nods, his chains rattling as he shifts his position on the ground. "As you wish your highness."

She nods. "Let's start with a name,"

"Well Princess, like I told them before I never saw the guys face but I do know that a name that floated around was Nightshade, the guy was looking for someone named Nightshade."

Luna looks back at me. That isn't a name I recognize. It isn't an old family name, we're looking for is outside of our kingdom.

"What for?"

He shrugs. "He never told and I never asked, I just did what he wanted me to and I got paid. But whoever they are seem to be really important,"

"I think this all he truly knows, I can't sense that he is hiding anything else from us..." She says.

"Then we've no more use for him, I will tell the council and he will accordingly be punished for his crimes."

"The Pit?"

"Somewhere you don't want to be, trust me."

She nods turning back to Van. "Thank you for your compliance,"

I blow the torch out and open the door again.

"I'd love to see you again... I like our little talks, Princess." He says a smirk covering his face.

Luna doesn't say another word, but spares one glance before she completely walks out of the door. I exit after her and shut the door, outside waiting for us were Leo, Ara,Winston, Orion, Bridge, and Jewels.

Jewels immediately runs up to her. "Are you alright, did that bastard touch you? Did he say anything?"

She smiles. "I'm alright and yes we were able to get something from him," she laughs.

"Well what did he have to say?" asks Winston. "Nothing good no doubt,"

I sigh. "We're looking for someone named Nightshade,"

"No first name or what they do?" asks Orion.

I shake my head.

"Well it's a start, we at least have a last name." says Ara.

"I agree, we'll begin the search for this person. Whoever they are they have to know something about what they've been planning." Says Leo, "I'll tell my father. Please excuse me."

"I'll go see what we can maybe pull up about this Nightshade person." Says Ara.

"And I'll go with her," he says giving a lazy smile.

"Bridge, Orion, Jewels. Come with me we'll head into the town and see if maybe there is anything we can find out. We leave in ten."

They all nod, heading off to get prepared.

"And what if me, Alpha?" asks Luna.

I turn back to look at her once more. "You're coming with us of course,"

She smiles widely.

And for the first time in a while I find myself genuinely smiling back.
