Oh my goodness, I haven't updated in a month... Sorry about that! Been a lot going on since I went to college. And It seemed that every time I would go to work on this story something would interrupt that... Enough of my rambling! To the Story, Enjoy!

The castle doors open to reveal the guard of the neighboring pack, the Silver Falls pack. At the head is Alpha Nickoli, he is more than twenty years my senior and his black hair is splashed with grey, his presence gave off an air of wisdom. His eyes are a ice blue, He certainly did not look his age.

"Alpha Nickoli," I greet holding out my hand for him to shake.

He grasps my hand back firmly, a slight smile on his face. "How are you Alpha Erik, Doing well son?"

He was also my mentor.

"I'm doing well, thank you."

Then the diplomat from the Silver Falls approaches, a man by the name of Felix Leopard, he is an older wolf than even Nickoli, he is a skinny man who looked very frail and if it wasn't for the scar that traveled down his left eye you would've never known that he was one of the most feared warriors of his time.

"Elder Leopard." I say bowing respectfully.

He nods at my greeting and then turns to his highness and bows. "Young Prince."

"Elder..." the prince acknowledges.

I feel Amelia arrive and look around for her, but she's nowhere in my line of sight. When I turn back to the front I can tell by the princes body language as well that he's aware that she's here and unfortunately that means everyone else can too, including Alpha Nickoli and Elder Leopard.

They both sniff the air and I slightly see the eyes of their wolves.

"I smell a rogue..." says Nickoli slightly growling.

I can feel the wolves stir from behind me and then Amelia is standing beside me, she immediately bows not making eye contact with the older Alpha.

"Alpha, Elder..." she says.

Both Alpha Nickoli and Elder Leopard's eyes widen slightly upon seeing her the rest of the group behind them was muttering excitedly behind them.

"Amelia..." whispers Alpha Nickoli.

Elder Leopard looks from Amelia and then to the prince a look of slight disbelief on his face. "What is this rogue doing here?" he questions the prince.

My eyes flicker from Amelia, who is still bowed, to Leonardo watching his face for any sort of strange reaction.

Leonardo's face shows nothing.

I hear three low growls from behind me and I know exactly whom they belong to.

"Bridge, Orion, Jewels..."

The growling stops.

"If you must know elder, we found her and brought her back for trial." answers the prince.

"Well why isn't she locked up until the day of her trial?"

"My father thought that she would be useful, in helping us since she was a former Alpha instead of letting them going to waste in a jail cell."

Elder Leopard looks at Amelia once again. "I'm sure someone's monitoring her?"

"Yes, Isn't that right, Alpha Erik?" the prince says turning his head to look at me.

I nod. "Yes, Elder she is never alone during the day and at night the guards know to look out for her scent."

He nods, looking pleased. "Very good then, I'll hold you to your word, young Alpha."

I bow. "Thank you, Elder."

With that the Silver Falls pack and his royal highness leave the front of the hall the rest of our pack trailing behind them, leaving Amelia and I as the only ones left in the entryway.

"Amelia..."

"Just go... you're needed..."

"Amelia-"

"Go." She states looking up at me finally a smile on her face. "I'll be fine, go. You're needed Alpha."

I turn around reluctantly leaving her in the entry way by herself.

After the Silver falls pack had settled in, though it was a little bit of a surprise, the royals hadn't expected them to stay this long and the castle had not prepared for it. But the meeting went longer than expected, so now here we are. Currently I'm searching for Amelia, following her scent all the way across the castle and to the library doors, a place I rarely went to even as a child.

I pull back the grand oak doors and then enter the library, when I was younger I remember that Amelia would spend a lot of her time in here. I figured out that this is where she came to hide, but I never revealed that I knew. because I now understand why sometimes why she would disappear for hours, I have yet to find a place that I can do the same.

I listen out to see if I can hear the sound of her heartbeat, but surprisingly I hear nothing, though her scent completely filled the area.

"Alpha, what a surprise to see you here... what can I help you with?" says an elderly voice.

I turn to face the woman, trying not to show that she had slightly startled me, I hadn't heard her approach.

"Ah, yes... I'm looking for someone and I thought they came in here, but I was-"

"She's back in the lore section."

"I'm sorry, what?"

"Don't play with me pup, follow her scent and you'll find her." The old lady says with a gleam in her eye.

I thank her a little awkwardly and then head back into the library, following Amelia's scent as she told me to and sure enough I found her back sitting against one of the shelves with a book in her lap, but it seemed that she had fallen asleep, while reading it, I could also smell salt.

Has she been crying?

I kneel down in front of her, taking in her appearance, for once she actually looked relaxed and un-guarded. It is actually one of the few times I've seen her so vulnerable. A shaft of light shows me a glimmer from a tear trail on her cheek, without thinking about it, I wipe it gently from her cheek and almost immediately she begins to stir.

I jerk my hand back.

Soon she moves some more and sleepy hazel eyes open themselves to look at me. "Hmm, Erik? What are you doing here?"

"Looking for you... it seems that you fell asleep while doing some light reading." I say gesturing to all the books around her.

She makes a face at me. "Shush, is the Silver falls pack gone? How'd it go?"

"Everything went fine... but they're staying for a couple days, including the prince's crowning ceremony."

She slightly looks surprised. "Looks like I'll have to keep my head down, and the ceremony already? That would mean that he's found his Luna, did he reveal who she is?"

I shake my head.

"Anyways, why did you come look for me? I doubt it was for this, is there something you need?" She asks clearing her throat and stretching slightly.

"No, I was just concerned, I left you out in the main hall after that mess that happened."

Her expression turns into a sad smile. "You sensitive goof, there was no reason to come after me, I'm fine. That reaction was to be expected after what I did and I am the one who removed myself from the situation in the first place."

Yeah... that's why I found you crying.

"Anyways, what were you looking for in all of these books?" I look at one of the titles. "And I'm sure this reading isn't for pleasure."

She looks away from me, her expression becoming slightly blank. "It's nothing important." Her eyes shift back over to me. "Doesn't the alpha have better things to be doing than watching the actions of a rogue wolf?"

"No, because it is my duty to watch the rogue wolf as the Elder said."

The air is thick with tension between us as no one says a word and we just stare at each other.

"Alpha..." interrupts Orion's voice through the mind link.

"Yes, Orion?"

"Alpha Nickoli has asked me to deliver a summons to you."

I sigh.

Amelia looks at me with one eyebrow raised as to ask: 'What's wrong?'

"Tell him that I'll be there in a few moments."

"The summons is not for you... it's for Amelia."

My eyes flicker up to her again as she looks at me questioningly. What could he want with her, or rather they?

"Alright, thank you, Orion. Tell him that I'll send her."

Orion's presence leaves.

"What's going on Erik?"

"I got a summons from Alpha Nickoli..."

She crosses her arms, crossing her legs as well in the process. "Then you should, go I might be important."

"But it wasn't for me, he wants to meet with you." I tell her.

Her surprise turns into a blank expression and I know she's gearing herself up for the worst, and is having the exact same thought I did.

What do they want from her?
