Maby years have passed, and Starfish was new a young adult. And being a young adult she started feeling things for a certain someone. Every single time he talked to her she became nervous.

"Hey Starfish ready to take our morning walk?" Flame asked in his usual cold tone. Starfish couldn't help but stare at him and startle for words.

"I-i, y-yes I'm ready." Flame's expression grew with concern.

"Something wrong Starfish? Fever? A cold? Diarrhea? Nausea?..." Flame kept listing all the illnesses possible. Starfish got irritated everytime he did this.

"Flame!! I'm ok, I'm not sick." Flame looked at her with a cold stare. Her ears shifted to the back. "Sorry Flame I shouldn't of yelled at you. You took care of me after all." Starfish looked down ashamed of herself.

"Lets get going Starfish. We're late already." With that he headed for the cave's entrance and started for the walk. Starfish perked her ears up and followed behind Flame. 'Oh no did I upset him? I hope I didn't'

It was a usual day, rainy, the ground just rock from the firey days. Well except the puddle of mud Flame accidently stepped in.

"What the hell!!!"

'Oh no, here we go again.'

"Where did this mud come from?!" Flame started cleaning his paw in a puddle of water.

"Flame it could be that the next element pup might be on its way." Starfish suggested, snifging the mud. Flame grunted, rolling his eyes at the thought of another pup being around. "Is there something with having another pup around, Flame?"

"No." Responded Flame looking ashamed. Starfish sat by the puddle of mud and looked at it. Flame joined her remembering Starfish's birth, and the way it rained that day.

"Flame look! Its starting to take form!" Starfish was so excited that she started wagging her tail. Flame smiled slightly at her cute reaction.

Flame's POV:

Starfish looked cute when she wagged her tail. It made me smile everytime she was this happy. My heart started racing once I was thinking about her.

'What is this feeling? Does she feel the same way for me? No! She is like a daughter to me. I can't have feelings for her!'

Starfish's POV:

The pup's paws were starting to form in the mud by itself. I was so excited I just had to wag my tail. Flame, he just acted like his normal self, tipical of a Fire wolf, always so cold hearted. Anyway, I kind of felt uneasy being close to him. I also noticed that his fur was on very low. Why? Who knows.

3rd POV:

The two wolves looked at the new pup starting to form. The odd thing was that two pink flowers grew on its back, and small ones on its chest, back, front paws, and the tip of her tail. The rest of her body grew grass, green as can be.

"Now what?"

"Now we wait, Starfish."

"How long?"

"A few weeks. Which means we'll have to go hungry."

"B-but-" Starfish was cut off by Flame speaking, with attitude in his voice.

"And no buts!" Flame stared intently at Starfish as she sighed and nodded her head once. Flame grunted and sat up straight, looking bold and strong. Starfish loved it when sat like this.

A small tint of pink was visible on her cheecks. Her heart was raceing. She cleared her throat and opened her mouth to speak but nothing came out.

"If you wish to speak you may do so." Flame spoke up to break the silence, and that was enough for Starfish to gain courage.

"Why is your fur on very low?" Starfish asked looking his way. Flame looked at her then back at the pup.

"I have on low so it won't overheat the developing pup. If I do it will die." Starfish looked at him in surprise.

"How do you know so much about this? And didn't you develope from fire?" Curiosity was building up on Starfish.

"Well its pretty obvious if you think about it. I'm a fire wolf, I canbe in high temperatures with no problem. You are to delicate, due to being a water wolf, you could evaporate from existence. Finally, this pup can burn up and die, for this pup is the element of nature." Starfish's fur stood on end when he said that she could evaporate.

After a while of silence, she finally asked,"How do you know all this?" Her voice sounded demanding, it took Flame by surprise, that he even jumped a little. He then regained control and simply ansewered.

"Visions." Starfish looked back at the pup. She studied the pup, from the tip of the nose to the top of its tail. Little did she know that Flame was also studying the new pup.

"Another female. Hmm, wonder how this one is going to turn out." He sighed and layed down next to the pup, Starfish did the same.

~Weeks Later~

The two adults were still awaiting the pup's arrival. Flame was sitting up while Starfish was laying down. A sudden crack was herd from the pup's direction.

"Its time for the new pup." Starfish sat up across from Flame and looked at the pup. The pup's head popped out, it then tried to stand up, but couldn't.

The pup looked up only to see Flame's stern face. She shyed down making Flame chuckled.

"Don't be afraid little pup. I'm here to help you." Flame said this in his sweetest voice possible. The pup looked back up at him, only to see him smiling. The pup finally spoke up in a soft voice.

"Um, can you help me out of here? I'm getting hungry." Flame nodedd and signaled Starfish to splash some water on her. Starfish stood up and lifted her wing over the pup, water dropped from her wing on top of the pup.

"That's enough Starfish." Starfish folded up her wing and sat next to Flame. The pup tried standing up again, doing it easily, the half dry mud falling off easily. The petals of the flowers that were on her back began falling. Only leaving a pair of small wings, they were pink and had the same form of the petals. The same thing was happening to her body. The flowers, and the grass, were falling off only to be replaced by pink and green fur. The pup was frightened because of this.

"What's happening to me!!" The pup sweet voice turning high pitched. Starfish was freaking out too.

"Did I over did it, Flame?!" Flame then responded with a calm deep voice.

"She'll ve fine, her body is kust shedding to bed a new coat of fur. Calm down child, this is a natural thing." The pup calmed down and nodded. Starfish still was confused, but trusted in Flame's words. When the pup was finished shedding, she flapped her wings, lifting herself up from the ground a few inches, then fell face first into the mud. Starfish tried to hold in her laugh but stopped when she saw Flame shoot her and sngry expression. The pup stood up and cried. Flame's expression softened and turned off his fire.

He nuzzled his face against her's to calm her.Starfish was surprised by his actions.

'Why is he being so soft towards her. I've never seen him act like this before. Its sweet of him.'

Flame's POV:

The new pup is too soft hearted to even stand up for herself. I cleaned up the pup's muddy face, and took her out from the mud puddle, grabbing her from her body. It was already getting cold and the pup was shivering. I turned on my fire on low.

"We have to get moving before it becomes dark again."

"Understood. Flame?"

"Hm?"

"What are we going to name the pup?" I sighed and responded.

"I'll think of something soon enough."

I layed down and told the pup to get on my back. The pup was weak to even get on. So Starfish had to help her, but as soon as she touched her. The pup yelled at her.

"Don't touch me!! Only he can!!"

I growled in dissapiontment. Starfish then pushed the pup roughly onto my back. As expected from her. These two aren't going to get along quickly. I stood up and began walking with Starfish by my side. She had anger written all over her face. I chuckled at her cute expression.

"What are you laughing at!?", Starfished hissed at me under her breath. I got near her ear and wispered.

"You're cute, angered expression." I saw her blush slightly as she looked away, perking her ears up in anger. I then relized what I said when I was getting heated up.

"Ow! You're burning me!!" I herd the pup yell in pain. 'Oh sh*t' I lowered my fire back to what it was and checked up on the pup.

"Are you alright back there?"

The pup then responded with a slight,"yes."

We kept walking until we reached the cave. We went inside and I layed the pup down. Starfish went to the other side of the cave to take a quick nap.

Pup's POV:

As the fire wolf layed me down I looked at the water wolf and made a disgusted face. What does she have that I don't? He should be paying more attention to me instead of her. I just have to find out how.

Starfish's POV:

What was I thinking, for sure he didn't mean it. Did he? Anyways that new pup is going to get in my way if I don't act quick.

Flame's POV:

I quickly ran tto the puddle of mud only to find a bunch of pink flowers for her to eat. I picked some up and took it to the pup.

"Eat up child, you'll need it." I spoke to her in a stern voice and she started eating. I layed down in the middle of the cave and turned on my fire to a medium. Starfish quickly fell asleep, for the new pup not yet.

She soon finished eating at walked up to me. I felt her presence and I lowered my fire.

"When will I get a name?" The cvhild asked and didn't know how to respond.

"I'm... still... thinking about it. I'll tell you tomorrow morning, ok?"

"Ok"

With that we both fell asleep, the pup snuggled close to me. Starfish snuggled up next to me after a while. I felt her shivering, but she soon stopped. Me, I don't remember when I fell asleep, but I'll tell you this. I felt like I had a complete family. That feeling was nice.
