The pack held a graduation party in the courtyard between mine and Sams houses. Isla, Lucas, and the others from the high school joined us so the pack was on their best behaviour. Isla, Tara, Abi, and Lucy pulled me over to drink with them.

'We miss you Katie. You were fun those few days you were at school before you left' Tara pouted.

'Sorry, main thing was never really my thing'

'We better get invites to your wedding' she told me sternly.

'Of course. But we're not planning yet' I replied, taking a shot.

'I can't believe this whole party is just for you' Lucy said in awe.

'I have a good family here' I shrugged.

'Paul can't keep his eyes off you' Isla commented, looking over to where Paul was sat with Jared and Quil.

'He's making sure I'm safe and not drunk' I told her, 'I'm going to go and say hi'

I walked over to the boys and gave them all hugs. Okay, so I was a little tipsy, but I wasn't full blown drunk!

'You're drunk Katie' Quil laughed.

'Tipsy. Not drunk' I corrected him, 'We had shots'

'And you didn't share?!' he acted outraged.

'You're underage' I teased, 'Which means more for me'

'Don't drink too much Kitty. You have to tutor the kids tomorrow' Paul reminded me.

'So I'll do it hungover' I shrugged.

I ran off when I spotted Kim and Leah stood by the drinks table. Paul called after me but I ignored him as my hunt for alcohol and fun continued. Leah and Kim celebrated with me by taking more shots because they knew the boys wouldn't approve.

We were still out celebrating at midnight but only the pack remained, the others had gone home with the promise to see me soon.

The conversation had slowly turned in to one about the Cullens as it often did recently. Bella was close to giving birth and Jakes last visit had not ended well. According to the physic vampire Alice, the vampire rulers were curious about the baby as well and if it survived, they would be coming to visit which would not end well for any of us!

'Enough about the vampire baby, when are we going to be getting some wolf babies?' Kim asked.

'Could ask you that question as well Kim' I teased.

'Yeah, but I'm not married or engaged' she argued.

'Don't have to be to have kids' Leah reminded her.

'I think her parents would kill me if we had kids now' Jared muttered, 'I don't even think they like me still'

'Outsiders worry about the pack' Sam shrugged, 'They perceive us in a negative way but we can't let it affect us.'

'Damn, that was very philosophical Sammy' I laughed.

I had spent the week after graduation visiting different offices trying to find the perfect space to start my tutoring business. I had taken a few days off to relax but I had started working towards my teaching degree and getting the correct things in place to become a fully licensed and registered business.

Leah and I were currently looking at an office on the very outskirts of the rez, close enough to the border that I could advertise in Forks as well. It had enough space for what I wanted.

'What do you think Leah?' I asked.

'I'm loving these giant windows Katie, they have a gorgeous view and let a lot of light in. The rooms are a good size, they're not too big like the others we've seen' she said.

'It is pretty, isn't it? Can you see this room as a waiting room though?'

'Yes, a desk there for a receptionist, comfy chairs and a table there. Cute photos on the wall' she told me, planning it out.

'Okay, I'm seeing it'

'The gentleman who owns the place is looking for a quick sale so I'm sure he will agree a good price if you decide you want this place' the estate agent told us.

'I do really like this space' I mused, 'but I will need my brother and fiancé to check the space out first before I commit to anything'

'That's fine, let me know what you decide and if you would like another viewing.'

Sam called just as we were leaving. He was calling an emergency pack meeting. We rushed home when we heard that the Elders had been called in as well. This was serious.

'What's going on?' I asked Paul as he met us at the car.

'Bella had the baby. Come on, the pack is inside, it's too cold to sit outside' he replied.

We headed to Sam and Emilys house until Paul stopped us and directed us to our house instead which surprised me a lot.

Everyone was in the living room, people were everywhere and if it wasn't for news of Bella it would've been like a weird family reunion thing.

'Alright, everyone is here. Jake?' Sam started.

'Bella has given birth to a baby girl. I was there and she was dying and there was so much blood' he shuddered so I moved next to him for comfort, 'she had to be turned. Edward had no choice.'

'Okay. But we knew this would be an option. It's no big deal, we changed the treaty for this' I said, 'How is the baby?'

'Good. I think. I didn't want to stick around for long.' Jacob sighed.

'Do you know if it's dangerous?' Emily asked.

'I left before I found out. I'm sorry' Jacob apologised.

'Which brings me to this meeting' Sam intervened. 'If Katie is willing, she can go with Jake to the Cullens to meet the baby and find out what they can now that it has been born.'

'Are you sure Katie will be safe around a new born vampire?' Old Quil asked.

'I'll be fine. The Cullens and Jake will look after me. I doubt Bella will want to kill me anyway since I helped create a new treaty so she wouldn't die' I shrugged.

'I'll go with them too' Leah volunteered, 'Extra wolf back up'

'Okay it's decided then. Katie, Jake, Leah. Head to the Cullens tomorrow and meet the baby. We need to show willing to be civil with the Cullens if they're trying to keep their side of the treaty' Billy decided.
