Chapter 1: Stacie
I watched her fold in her torn, bleeding wing. "Cassie! Are you ok?!!" I howled.
"Yes, I'm fine, sis." she replied, walking towards me. I trotted up to her. "Is there anything I can do to help?"
"No, get back to the pack. You shouldn't even be out here."
She replied. Cassie and I are part of the Sky Pack. The other packs are Earth, Air, Water, and Fire. This is the newest pack because of the newest breed of wolf: the WingWolf. I'm a black wolf with blue tips on my tail and the fur on my head. Cassie is a bright red wolf with white under her wings. Dad is black with red and white on him and his wings, and an orange Mohawk type of thing. Mom is white and blue, with the tips of her wings blue and a blue star on her forehead.
"Well you are out here, so why can't I be?" I said, stomping my paw at her.
"Stacie, go to the den now. The Sky Pack is waiting! I will be right behind you."
"Fine. I'll tell mom and dad what happened and tell them you will be coming," I answered.
"Run, you can't fly yet. Mom will be mad. And let ME tell them what happened."
I ran for the center of our territory, my wings spreading, wanting to lift me up in the air. I force them down. The wind in my fur, I race to Dad, the pack leader. "Dad, Cassie is Hurt! It's her wing! She said she would be coming!" I bark to my dad as I run for him. Suddenly Cassie appeared from the trees.
"Dad! I'm here! Sorry I was late! I clipped my wing on a tree." Cassie said, as she ran up to my dad and mom. Stacie glares at me. Wow, she was serious about me telling dad.
"Cassie, what did I tell you about flying near the Earth Pack territory?" My dad asked my sister.
"To not to..." She replied sitting and looking at the ground. I walk over to her and rub my nose on her cheek. "It's OK Cassie, you didn't get too hurt." I say, trying to comfort her.
"But she broke pack rules." My dad, said firmly. "I will forget your punishment because the air pack is here." As he said that, a black, blue, and white wolf approached my dad.
"You must be Kile," said the wolf. "I'm Baron, leader of the air pack. I'm here for the boundaries problem.'
"Yes, yes." My dad replied. "The sky pack would like half of the lake instead of a quarter." And looked at the lake. I spotted a bright blue wolf with brown on her muzzle, and the tips of her ears and tail. Baron looked at me, seeing that I was looking at the wolf. "So you are Stacie, right?" Baron said. "This is my daughter, Maria." Maria stepped in front of me looking at me. Staring at me. Like she had never seen a wolf with wings.
"I have seen the Sky pack before, but none of the other wolves have as small as wings as you."
I look at my wings and fluff them around, scared she might make fun of me. I knew my wings were small, and it would take longer, than other wolf pups, for them to grow. I look at the dirt.
"They haven't grown in all the way yet..." I say.
"I wish I had wings, I would give anything to fly past the clouds! Maybe you can take me when they grown in." I would see in her eyes that she meant not to hurt my feelings with her wings comment.
"Sure! You can be the first person I fly with." Maria smiles and looks at her dad, I look at mine. They are in deep discussion about the lake. Looking into my dad's eyes, I can see he is getting frustrated with Baron
"Well, we'll think about it.'' said Baron to my dad.
Mom walked up to Cassie, grabbed her ear with her teeth and dragged her to the den. I knew she was in trouble. Mom has dragged me into the den like that before. I had gone to the air pack territory when I was swimming in the lake. Mom yelled at me and my ear was red for a week. But the look on moms face, meant Cassie was in more trouble than I was.
"Bye Stacie!" Maria calls to me, as she walks to the Air territory.
"Bye!" I call back.
"Don't get to close to maria." My dad barks, behind me. I jump and turn around.
"Why?" I ask
"The Air pack is planning something. Something big." His voice booming.
"How do you know?" I ask, sarcastically. He glares at me, eyes burning into me.
