Book Idea: Nuzlocke Adventures
Hello everyone. Wolfsun97 here with a new book idea that I want to run pass you guys. You see, I'm a huge Pokémon fan. I've been playin the franchise since Pokémon Emerald and since then I have played every last generation of the franchise. However, back in 2016, I was introduced the Nuzlocke Challenge thanks to Team Four Star's SoulSilver Nuzlocke. For those who don't know what a Nuzlocke is allow me to go over the rules real quick:
1.) I can only catch the first Pokémon I find in a route. If I kill that Pokémon, I can't anything else on that route.
2.) I have to nickname everything I catch so I get attached to them.
3.) If a Pokémon faints, it's dead and must be released. If I ever party wipe, I lose the Nuzlocke.
4.) The Nuzlocke doesn't end until I beat the Elite Four & the Champion of the respective region.
There are also some other optional rules that I can use, but I'll go over that later. In the meantime, let's get back to the premise of the book. You see, when TFS was conquering the Johto/Kanto region, I attempted my first Nuzlocke in Pokémon Pearl which I ended up winning thanks to my Torterra: Mr. Wiggins who after long battle defeated Cynthia's Garchomp. Since then, I've done many Nuzlockes, but now I want to share that experience with all of you. So, I will be doing another Nuzlocke, but I will be also writing my experience as a book. I also have a plot idea to fit in it with some of other books, but I'll save that for later.
Now, the question is what region will I be tackling this time? Well, I want to leave that you, my loyal readers, to decide. Here are the options:
1.) Leafgreen (Kanto)- one of my first Pokémon games that I would be happy to replay since I haven't touched it since I originally played back in 2005.
2.) SoulSilver( Johto/Kanto) - this one would be a challenge seeing I would have to beat sixteen gym leaders, beat the Elite Four twice, and tackle the legend known as Red who I've never beaten.
3.) AlphaSapphire (Hoenn) - the first region I've visited and since I can't seem to find my copy of Pokémon Emerald, I'll have to settle for the remake. Still, it will be a blast to return to the region that started it all for me.
4.) Platinum(Sinnoh)- as I've said, I beat Pokémon Pearl before, but if I have to return to the Sinnoh region, I want to see if I can beat the harder version of my original Nuzlocke. Heck, if I beat the Elite Four, I'll ask my brother to battle me with my Pearl Team to finish the book.
5.) Black or White 2 (Unova) -I got to be honest....I don't like this game, but I love many of the Pokémon it introduced like Krookdile and Exadrill. Also to be honest, I never fully beat my copy of white 2.
6.) X (Kalos) - I have to be honest and say that I like this region. Also with the threat of mega evolution, it could be a lot of fun.
7.) Sun or UltraMoon (Alola)- my favorite games in the entire franchise. Alola is so unique thanks to the island challenge and while I find the original game to be challenging enough, Ultra Moon does have the team killer known as Ultra Necrozma and the Rainbow Rocket episode to take on.
So, let me know in the comments whether you think this is a good idea or not. Also let me know which game you think I should do. Until then, this is Wolfsun97 signing out.
Here's the Arc sisters as Pokémon trainers for your time (which on is your favorite? Mine is Jalter, but I'm biased seeing how I love Jalter and Charizard)
