Idea: Sirius gets insecure about being liked more as a dog and then misunderstands Remus and starts being more of padfoot than human. Remus notices that something was up and started thinking about it, until he realized what he had said

Sirius was in his own thoughts while physically laying down on his bed. He had come to notice that people around him seemed a lot more delighted when ever he was in his animagus form. From which he came to the conclusion, that people liked him better when he was in his animals form. He was still thinking of it, when Remus walked in. 

"Siri? Could you turn into Padfoot please?" 

Sirius looked at him and sat up. "Why?" 

"I just like him better. Please?" 

Sirius sighed and nodded. There was his confirmation. He didn't say another word and turned into the black dog, walking over to Remus and pushing his head to his leg. Remus smiled softly and played with his fur. "Thank you. You are the best."

Remus had noticed that over the past couple of weeks, Sirius showed up far more often as Padfoot rather than as Sirius. He couldn't quite understand what was going on, so one evening when it was just him and Padfoot cuddling, he finally brought it up. "Why aren't you ever in your human form anymore?" 

Padfoot turned into Sirius, wo was looking at him with a confused expression. "What do you mean? Isn't it obivous?" 

"No, it is not."

"Well I had already figured you liked Padfoot more than me sense everyone was always happier around him than me. Then you just told me it was true. So, I've been as much as possible as Padfoot, because that way everyone is happier." 

Remus went quiet, trying to figure out when he would've told Sirius this bullshit. And then it hit him. I just like him better. 

Remus pulled Sirius into a hug and rubbed his back. "Oh baby, it is't true. I love you as you. Sure Padfoot's nice, but you are the one I fell in love with. I didn't mean it the way it came out as. I care about you and I'm sorry you didn't feel like you were loved. I'm so sorry Sirius." 

Sirius sniffled softly and clung to him, nodding slightly. "I was so scared you'd break up with me..." Sirius whispered. "Oh baby, that's never going to happen, because I love you. I want to stay with you forvever."

"I love you too, Rem."
