Lily was furious. she was rushing through the Castel, her books long forgotten in the library, something Remus would yell at her for doing. Even the little first years in the halls, who normally loved her and would always come to her if they had a probleme, were fleeing now.

She was running up to the Gryffindor common room, her heart was beating so fast, she thought it might just explode with anger.
She'd never think she could be so mad about this but here she was, ready to beat anyone up. Not really anyone though, she was mad at marlene. Her best friend, the one person, she thought she could trust.
Lily had thought marlene knew how much she liked james, and still...

She practically yelled the password at the fat lady who didn't even bother to ask what was going on.
Marlene was sitting by the fire, flipping through a muggle magazine.

"Hey!" she almost jumped out of her seat when she saw lily.

"Hi? what's up?"

"don't play innocent now. You know exactly what's up." marlene still looked at her confused and it made Lily even more mad.

"Severus told me! Really Marlene? James?! of all people?!"

Marlene raised an eyebrow.

"and what exactly did snape tell you I did with James?"

Lily scoffed.

"really? you're playing dumb now? Fine, but it won't help the fact that I know you snogged him."

"what?!" The accuse was so crazy, Marlene couldn't help but laugh.

"Me? snogging James potter? you're crazy Lily."

"and why is that?"

"I'm gay, did you forget that?!" Marlene started to get mad too. She had told lily years ago, that she wasn't interest in dating boys, and Lily had accepted and supported her.

"Oh yeah, maybe you just lied about that! Makes perfect sense to me! You were jelous, that James liked me more then you! You wanted attention and that's it!" She didn't know how to respond to that. Honestly, it really hurt to hear that, especially from Lily.

"I'm going to bed, I can't see you right now, good night."

The next morning, Marlene knew exactly who she could talk to about this.
So, after breakfast she went right back to the common room where she, like expected, found her best friend Sirius, snogging his boyfriend.

They didn't even hear her coming in, and Marlene couldn't help but shake her head about how bad they were at hiding their relationship.

"Sirius!" they broke apart immediately and looked at Marlene, with fear in their eyes.

"Oh, its just you" Sirius let out a sigh.

"What do you want Marls? I'm clearly busy."

She sat down across from her two friends.

"it's about Lily."

"Can't that wait?" Sirius rolled his eyes "We only have this one hour."

"No it can not."

"Oh my god." Sirius led go off Remus and sat up straight.

"I'll listen Marlene." Remus smiled at her and it surprised Marlene that he of all people was beeing so nice.

"we fought yesterday. Apparently snape told her I made out with James, so she yelled at me. I reminded her that I'm a lesbian, so I wouldn't snog James, but she just-" Marlene paused and looked at the floor. She realized how hard it was to talk about this, and how sad it really made her.

Sirius layed a hand on her arm. Marlene took a shaky breath.

"she said that I'm faking it for attention." Both Sirius and Remus had never looked more shooked.

"what?!"

"I'm so sorry Marls, that's horrible."

She looked up at them again, trying to play it off with a smile.

"it's fine...she probably didn't mean it. She was just...mad."

Remus shook his head.

"She shouldn't say something like this even if she's mad. That's unacceptable."

The following weeks not only marlene, but also Sirius and remus ignored Lily completely. Obviously the couple was affected by what she said as well since it seemd like she didn't actually support them or their sexualitys. If she thought marlene was "faking it" who said that she didn't think that about them too?
Lily obviously noticed that something was wrong and quickly came to the conclusion that Marlene must've told their friends about the incident.

She needed to talk about it but she didn't know with who. James would of course be mad if he knew about what happend, same with dorcas and Mary. So she decided it would be the best to go to Snape.

"I just don't get why they are all so mad! Especially Remus and Sirius. They shouldn't be affected by this, should they? I mean yeah, they are together but that has nothing to-"

"What?" Snape looked at her with big eyes.

"I...I wasn't supposed to talk about that. Forget it."
He stayed quite as she continued talking about her probleme, but it was most certainly not done for him.

it was not until the following Wednesday that Lily heard from Remus again.

It was nothing special about the day. She was walking back to her dorm after class, when she met James in the halls. He seemd worried and didn't even notice her at first till she began talking.

"James?" She carefully placed a hand on his shoulder and his eyes shot up from the floor, his expression filled with worry.

"Are you okay? what's going on?"

"Sirius, he- he's in the hospital wing. Got attacked or something." He ran a hand through his hair and lily could see that he was on the verge of tears.

"Oh my god! Attacked? Right here in school?"

"yes, Moony thinks it was Snape but we're not sure."

"can I come with you? see him?"

James shrugged and lily held his hand on the way to the hospital wing.

Remus was already waiting in front of the doors. He seemd even more anxious then James, which quickly changed to anger though when he saw lily.

"what is she doing here?!"

"I met her on the way here and she wantes to see Sirius."

Remus scoffed and rolled his eyes.

"As if you'd care how he is! It's your fault this even happend after all. I know you told Snape about him and I! he- he hexed Sirius! I know he did! he has it in that stupid fucking booking he's carrying with him-"
James quickly walked over to him and put an arm around Remus' shoulders.

"Calm down Moons. I'm sure Lily has nothing to do with this, she'd never tell anyone that you and Sirius are dating."

Lily looked down on the floor.

"right Lil?"

"I...I didn't do it on purpose, I promise! It was an accident, I told him about what happend with Marlene and it just...s-slipped."

Remus seemed to be getting even more mad, he pushed James away and pulled out his wand, pointing it at Lily.

"Get the fuck away from here. because of your small "accident" my boyfriend is now in there, bleeding, unconscious and we have no idea if he'll ever wake up again! Don't ever talk to me again or I swear you'll end up even worse."

"Remus, please im sorry. I- I didn't know Sev would do something like this! I'll leave but please just let me know when Sirius is fine."

Remus rolled his eyes but James stepped forward.

"We'll let you know." Even though his words were nice, Lily could hear he was disappointed.

As she left the corridor, she could hear James trying to comfort Remus. She was mad and this time she wouldn't resist to beat someone up and that someone was Snape.

While Lily was gone, Madam pomfrey opened the big doors to the hospital wing.
Remus was about to rush in but she held him off.

"What's up?! Is Sirius okay?!"

"Mr. Black is fine, but he needs to rest."

"Please let me see him."

James stepped to his side and layed a hand on Remus shoulder.

"C'mon Moony, we'll go see him later okay?"
But Remus shook his head.

"Please Madam Pomfrey. I promise I'll be quite."

She let out a small sigh but let go off him.

"Okay, but just you. Mr. Potter, you can come see your friend later."

Remus immediately walked in. Sirius was lying in bed, he was sleeping, his forehead was sweaty and he was very pale. Remus didn't like seeing him like that and it just made him more mad at Lily.

He quietly sat down on the chair next to Sirius' Bed and slid his hand in his.
Softly, he whiped the sweat from his forehead.
Sirius groand and his eyes opened slowly.

"I'm sorry", Remus whispered, "get back to sleep, love"

Sirius voice was raspy when he spoke.
"What happend?"

"Someone attacked you, but Madam Pomfrey heald your wounds."
He ran a hand through Sirius' Hair and lightly smiled at him.
"You need to sleep, she'll kill me if she sees you awake."

" 'm not tired." Sirius mutterd but his eyes were almost closed again.
"Come here moons." he scooted to the site and Remus layed down next to him.
Sirius rolled in his arms and he kissed his head.
