Description: Remus gets a very reassuring response to a question he asks. (@incorrect-hp)

Story:

Remus was just sitting in the dorm, minding his own business. He had a book propped up against his pillow and his parchment on his knee. He was writing his potions essay, which always took longer than he liked because he was never very good at potions.

He had just dipped his quill in the ink pot when the door burst open. Remus jumped, spilling the ink all over his duvet.

Sirius had come running into the dorm, a panicked look clear on his face as he slammed the door shut behind him and leaned against it, gasping for breath.

Remus jumped to his feet, half to inquire Sirius and half to get away from the ink he spilled. "Oh god, what did you do?"

Sirius's face was still stuck in a panicked expression. "Nobody died!" He said way too quickly.

Remus's eyebrows shot up in alarm. "WHAT KIND OF ANSWER IS THAT?"

"Shhh," Sirius whispered, holding up his finger.

Remus forced himself to be calm. "Sirius. What did you do."

Sirius only squeezed his eyes shut and listened.

The two of them could hear the portrait hole door open and slam again and great stomping footsteps up the stairs.

"SIRIUS ORION BLACK!" James bellowed.

Sirius giggled. "Whoops."

Remus sighed, going back over to his bed and using a siphoning charm to clean the blankets.

James was at the door in seconds, pounding on it. "I KNOW YOU'RE IN THERE PADFOOT!"

"No I'm not!" Sirius called back. "Fancy checking the loo on the fourth floor? You'll have better luck."

There was silence on the other side of the door for a few seconds as James mulled it over. "Open the door, Sirius."

"Oh shiiiiit," Sirius mouthed to Remus with a wide grin on his face.

"Do I even want to know anymore?" Remus asked.

Sirius turned around to unlock the door. "I reckon you'll find out in just a mo'," Sirius said.

The door swung open and there stood James Potter. Except his lovely, wild, soft, wind blown hair that he loved so much...was dyed pink.

"Ooooh, you are so dead, Black," Remus said under his breath.

Sirius smirked.
