Description: Sirius wants to propose to Remus but doesn't know how.
Story:

Sirius was freaking out. Their seventh year at Hogwarts was almost over and he wanted to propose to his Moony before they graduate. The only problem was, he had no idea how.

So of course, he went to James.

"So I got the ring, but I don't know how to propose? What if he says no? What if he doesn't love me like that anymore? And he doesn't want to spend his life with me? What if--"

James held up his hands. "Slow down there, Padfoot. Of course he still loves you. You'd be crazy not to see it. You're just nervous."

"Yeah, no shit, Prongs. Course I'm nervous. He's...he's the love of my life, and I want--" his throat started to close up as he thought about it.

"Hey," James said, sitting down on his bed and patting the space beside him. Sirius sat down and rested his head no James's shoulder while James wrapped his arm around his best friend. "It's going to be fine, Sirius. Trust me. He loves you and no matter how you ask, actually no, there are certainly some ways you shouldn't ask--"

"James," Sirius interrupted with a laugh, stopping James from his rambling.

"Right," James said. "Anyway, he'll say yes. I know he will. He really loves you, Siri."

Sirius released a sigh. "I hope you're right, Jamsie," he said.

"I know I'm right. The time will come. You'll know when."

"Thanks James," he said.

James nodded, squeezing Sirius into his side in a half hug. "Anytime."

Sirius stood, pacing, outside of the Hospital Wing. This moon had been tough on Remus, and Madam Pomfrey had promptly shooed the three boys out of the Wing after they deposited an injured and unconscious Remus in her care.

It was hours later, well after first hour had started, that Madam Pomfrey had finally let him in to the Hospital Wing. "He just woke up a few minutes ago, so take caution, Mr. Black, he needs his rest."

Sirius nodded and hurried to Remus's bed, the one he occupied every full moon. "Moony," Sirius breathed, sitting down in the chair next to the bed which was occupied by him nine times out of ten.

Remus's eyes rolled over to look at Sirius. He looked utterly exhausted, his body battered and bruised. He managed a smile at Sirius, slipping his hand into Sirius's. "Hey," he croaked.

Sirius brushed Remus's hair out of his eyes and pressed a kiss to the tip of his nose. "Feeling better?" he asked.

Remus shrugged. "I guess so," he said.

"I love you," Sirius told him.

Remus closed his eyes with a blissful smile. "I love you too."

Sirius continued to run his hands through Remus's hair soothingly as Remus drifted off into a light sleep, the sun's rays splaying across the two of them, warm and comforting.

Remus woke again later that day. Sirius was still there, playing with his hair.

"Afternoon, Moons," Sirius greeted with a smirk.

Remus stretched, groaning.

Sirius, watching Remus smile up at him, suddenly knew. It had to be now.

"Uh, Rey? Can I uh...can I ask you a question?"

Remus cocked an eyebrow, lifting himself up on his elbows. Sirius quickly moved to prop him up with pillows.

"Yeah sure, anything."

"Well...I uh, I was wondering. If you know, you would wanna maybe...If you would--I mean--"

Remus laughed softly and Sirius blushed, reaching into his pocket at grabbing the ring he'd taken to carrying around with him.

Remus's eyes widened when he saw it.

"I was wondering if you would wanna marry me?" Sirius asked tentatively. "Remus, will you marry me? Because I love you a lot, more than anything really, and I want to spend the rest of my life with you, and--"

"Yes," Remus interrupted, a few tears falling from his eyes. This was truly a dream of his, to get married. He'd never thought he would get a chance, being a werewolf. "Yes, Sirius, I would love to. I love you so much, too."

Remus reached out with his arms that felt like lead and embraced Sirius, placing kisses all over his face before settling on his lips.

Sirius smiled into the kiss, salty tears mingling on their lips. "Holy wizard god, I love you Remus Lupin," he said, slipping the ring on his fingers.

Remus laughed, scooting over to make room for Sirius on the bed to sit with him. "God, I love you too," Remus said, kissing Sirius again.
