Remus rushed out of the common room, tears welling up in his eyes as he fled. He had come so close to biting his best friend and boyfriend during his last transformation, and he knew that he shouldn't be alive. How could he have almost bitten Sirius! He was in love with him and he had almost turned him into a monster! Sirius saw Remus fleeing from his vantage point on the four poster bed in the Gryffindor boys dorm. Sirius Grabbed his jacket and ran out the door.

When Sirius finally found Remus, sitting under a tree, tears streaming down his face.
"Moony, what's wrong?" Sirius asked cautiously.
"Don't come any closer! I'll only hurt you like the monster I am!" Remus was sobbing now.
"Remmy, listen to me. You are not a monster, and you are not going to hurt me. I love you with all of my heart, and I will not let you go." Sirius bent down and sat next to Remus, wrapping his jacket around his shoulders and kissing him on his tear stained cheek.
"No! Please go away before I hurt you!" Remus was shaking and his voice sounded tired.
"Remus John Lupin. I love you, and one silly close call is not going to change that." Sirius said the words with such certainty that Remus melted like butter into his arms and sobbed. Sirius held him tight and whispered loving words in his ear.
