The Marauders and Lily were all sitting in the common room one day when Remus and Sirius started teasing each other.
"Oh, Moony, you really should cut your hair. You know how I like to be the one with long, luscious hair." Sirius laughed as he gave Remus's hair a slight tug.
"Oh but Padfoot, your clothing is a little too depressing and it doesn't exactly match your demeanor." Remus was quick to reply to Sirius's comment with his own witty comeback. This went on for about ten minutes before Lily, who looked like she might explode shouted
"OH, WILL YOU TWO START DATING ALREADY?!" Sirius started laughing hysterically, while Remus turned bright red, as he always did in uncomfortable situations.
"Oh, my dear Lily. You don't know what the others do. We are, in fact, dating each other. We told James and Peter months ago." Sirius smiled warmly at Lily, and she grinned wildly as she yelled at James
"Ha ha ha! I win! You've been putting off telling me haven't you?" She held out her hand and James handed her a Galleon. Sirius kissed Remus passionately, and James did the same to Lily.
