James kissed Lily on the cheek and smiled as he watched her walk down the hall. It was seventh year, and he has the girl of his dreams. Sirius strutted over to James with a cocky look on his face.
"Dude! Don't you remember the deal we made? Bros before Does! We were supposed to study last night, but you got too caught up with Ickle Lilykins!" Sirius looked like he was trying to be angry, but was failing miserably.
"Oh I'm sorry! She was crying because over winter break, Petunia told her that she didn't want her as a sister anymore!" James didn't have to try to look angry, he actually was.
"She said what?!" Sirius was now just as livid as James, and he knew exactly how it felt to be hurt by your family. Sirius ran to catch up with Lily and pulled her into a big hug. She broke down after that, and the rest of her day was spent in the Gryffindor common room with the Marauders. They started with light conversation, but at the end, Sirius was crying all over Remus, who was quietly kissing the top of his head and whispering comforting words. Lily had collapsed in James's lap, and Peter was tending to everyone and making sure their tea was still hot.
