Blushing News

"Sirius-" Remus started as Sirius climbed onto the Gryffindor table. It was lunchtime, almost every student, including the Marauders, was present in the great hall, and Sirius had decided to do something no one would have expected.

The casual clink of cutlery and murmur of conversation came to an abrupt halt as they all saw Sirius Black standing on the table, balancing as though it was a daily occurrence, and, for him, it may well be.

"Students, even the Slytherins," he started, his tone was declarative, his signature smirk pressed firmly onto his face, "and esteemed Professors," none of said professors tried to stop him, all too entranced by awe and curiosity for what he had to say. Remus swore Dumbledore's mouth was slightly agape.

"If I may have your attention for a moment. I have an announcement to make, as I, Sirius Padfoot Black" he got a few sniggers at that, "have been stolen in a spell of something more powerful than any of your average magic, love. I've been bewitched, mind, body and soul, by one specific person."

"And, because I am tragically incapable of subtlety, I need everyone to know how ridiculously lucky I am." Remus shifted in his seat, his eyes growing slightly misty even as his face reddened. Sirius held his hand out, "Remus Lupin, the love of my life, would you join me up here?" Remus, lips twitching despite himself, took the other boy's hand and stood up on the table.

"My dear Moony, you make every day I live better just knowing you're here, you make every breath I take worth it because we breathe in sync, our hearts beat in unison, you are the reason I live. I love you Moony!" He leand in, grin still etched on his face as they kissed, a bright, exuberant kiss.

And though a few yelled "get a room!", most of the students, and professors, in the great hall seemed happy for them, and that was the only thing Remus needed before he returned the kiss with exhilaration, "I love you too Siri." He said once they'd pulled back, Sirius didn't reply, he just clasped their two hands together and lifted them up above their heads.

The Great hall erupted with applause as they stood there, hands Intertwined and lifted high, grins on their faces. Sirius stepped down first, guiding a slightly stunned Remus along with him, "oh come on, you know you love it." And Remus couldn't help but agree, "yeah...I do."

Because he really did love the boy in front of him, and no amount of embarrassment could overshadow the pure joy of loving Sirius Black
