Aira and the others traveled for a few days, mostly in a depressing silence. They all had decided to head to the mountains, were terra's brother is. Aira had been recovering, but not from guilt. It was almost like Terra's father was haunting her from the dead. Every night she would have the same dream of him begging her not to kill him, his body already torn to shreds. She would aways wake up, scared to death, then when she did go back to sleep, if at all, it would be complete darkness. Every day was a battle for her to not fall down or throw up, she had felt very sick every day. Terra saw her one morning and asked if she was all right. She lied and said yes but she wasn't all right. One day while they were resting Aira went over to Terra. "Terra, im going hunting........." she said. Terra looked up at her and said "ok, be careful". Aira nodded and walked into the forest. She padded on deeper until she caught the scent of a squirrel. She quickly tracked it, walking fast with out a sound, her paws light as air. She spotted it searching for acorns at the bottom of an old oak tree. She crouched and waited. After a few moments a voice called out saying "hey Aira", scaring away the squirrel. She sat up as Arashi walked out. "hey Aira, how are you" he said. Aira was extremely shy towards the handsome thunder wolf but not when she was mad. "well I was about to catch my lunch but SOMEONE scared it away" she said, her voice the loudest she could get it. Arashi shruged and said "sorry, how have you been". Aira then began to shy. "o-oh...............im f-fine" she stuttered.  Arashi smiled at her. She knew that smile and she couldn't help but smile and look away shyly. "hey Aira, come hunt with me, just the two of us." he offered, looking at her. She shyly nodded and lead the way into the forest. Arashi began to walk faster in front of her. She padded faster. He laughed and began running. She gasped and ran faster but he easily pulled ahead. "no fair! you know im not fast!" she said in her quiet voice. Arashi didn't hear and kept running. He laughed and said "come on Aira". Aira tried to run faster but couldn't keep up. Arashi didn't notice her and kept going. Aira began to get tired. She didn't realize a big tree root sticking out of the ground. Her paw got caught underneath it and she tripped, twisting her paw. "ah!" She cried as she  tumbled to the ground, crashing into a tree. She sat up but gasped in pain, her paw twisted. Arashi was no where to be seen. She got up and tested her paw on the ground. It hurt a bit, but she could walk. The ground blurred beneath her as her eyes filled wit tears. Her paw hurt yes, but anything could make her cry. Despite herself she cried. I was more that Arashi didn't notice that she fell. "Aira? you ok?" said Arashi as he stepped out of the bush. He saw her sitting there, crying. He gasped and then padded over to her. She looked down as her paw, now hurting more, unable to control her tears. Arashi's ears dropped down. He realized he left her when she was hurt. He looked at the small she-wolf, and he sighed. "come on, lets get you home" he said standing up. She sniffed and stood up. She limped holding her twisted paw up. Arashi felt awkward as he went around to her other side and let her lean on him. She didn't look at him, embarrassed to have cried like a lost pup in front of the wolf she secretly loved. Her fur grew hot with embarrassment as he helped her into the makeshift den with all the other wolves watching back at the rest area.

Aira spent the rest of the day in the den, her paw twisted and swollen. She laid at the farthest back end of the den, staring at the wall, her ears down. She herd paw steps outside den and a couple wolves talking. "did you see her earlier? she was so weak! Arashi was HELPING her!" one voice said. "yea! cant she learn that you need to be strong or else if your weak you'll die!" another said. Aira whined and stopped listening. Some wolves made fun of her, and during battle training, some would hurt her on purpose. But she couldn't help it..........she hated fighting..........she hated being a runt........... She got up and walked out of the den, trying to ignore all the whispers and stares she felt burning into her pelt. She quickly limped away into the forest. She kept walking till she was far away in the direction of their destination. She liked to go ahead of the others before they left, then she would slow her pace so they could meet her. As she kept walking she listened to the sounds around her. the animals, the leaves rustling in the wind, the trickling of a near by creek. She sat down and waved her head side to side, smoothly. As she did wind blew through the grass, trees and bushes making a beautiful tune. A simple part of her wind powers yet it was always her favorite. She hummed with the tune then sang with it. Terra, Arashi and the others herd her from the distance. Terra smiled and Arashi said "she's doing it again". Terra nodded and said "me and you can watch, but the others will stay here". The other's never watched because of what they thought about Aira. As she continued to stroll and sing, the pain in her paw eased. Aira loved singing but she didn't do it often. She would always be embarrassed when someone saw or herd her. She stopped when she herd the bushes rattle. She had an idea and snuck behind the bush. Once behind it she let out a loud snarl. Terra and Arashi both jumped out of the bush in surprise. "hahaha! you both know you cant hide from me" she said. Arashi sat up and laughed. "great sneaking Aira" Said Terra. Aira smiled a bit. "hey don't let what the others say get to you" said Arashi. Aira frowned and said "why, may I ask, did you say that". "just in case" he said as he winked at her. Terra stepped in between them and said "come on lets get moving". Aira smiled an walked along side her as the pack headed towards the mountains.
