This is my very first completed book-wohooo! (Yes, I've written quite a bit that has never seen the light of day-often left unfinished because I tend to edit too much while writing instead of finishing first and then editing.)

Now, I will finally take some time to edit and improve the translation. Then, I'll continue with part two (both that and part three are almost fully written in my head). I considered writing this book as one long piece but ultimately decided it was best to split it up. The reason for this will become clearer as the story continues.

However, each book will stand alone and can be read independently. This one serves as a sort of prequel to the next, which is the main story. I might even release the prologue for that soon, which can also serve as an epilogue to this book.

I want to dedicate this book to my mother and grandmother, who have been a great inspiration for Sigrid. They are-and were-strong, fierce, hardworking women with immense care who never gave up and had to hold their own among strong brothers. Truly great role models.
