Chapter three:

You run as fast as you can into the jungle, passing the other cave and tripping over multiple thorn bushes. Huffing and puffing, you stop once you've gotten far enough. You hold the bottle full of your mothers ashes. I won't disappoint you, mother. You decide to keep going and run through tons of bushes and trees. Your muscles are begging for a break, but you push your pain aside and run faster, your paws stained with mud and dirt. Ow! Yet another thorn. Keep going. You're fine. About fifteen minutes pass of endless running, and scratches are on your body in almost every spot. You fall one last time and wipe the dirt of your cheek. You steady yourself and wobble back up. You look around and try to focus on where you are. It is beautiful, tall oak trees surrounding you, and freshly fallen leaves crunch on your feet. You rest on a fallen log and catch your breath, which seems to be lost. Suddenly you sense there is something wrong. Am I...moving? You look down and realize the log is slowly rolling downhill. You get up, hoping your feet don't slip as the log moves further and faster downhill. You can't stop, so you freak out. You try to get a glimpse of what is ahead. It looks like water. I'm I going to crash into a stream? You hold your breath and close your eyes, lifting your feet as the log moves every second. You open your eyes as soon as you feel like your close to the stream. You can't stop, so you continue holding your breath as you collapse underwater. The log pushes you underwater and holds your stomach down. You are forced to gasp, and your air starts slipping away like grains of sand through your paws. You try to pry the log off your sore stomach, but it doesn't work, and your trapped under the shallow water. You can't breathe. You can't move. How will you possibly get out of this catastrophe?? You get an idea. You slowly slip under the log and try to squeeze out. Even though you are about to faint, you lose no hope. Pushing the log aside, you swim to the surface and gasp for air. Your vision is still wobbly, but you aren't dead! Thank goodness! After that scare, you need to rest, do you haul the log out of the water and secure it to the dirt. Then, you fall down like you haven't rested in years. It's sunrise, but you barely got any sleep-about four hours, so you take a little nap. When you wake up, you feel someone grab your neck with their paws and you shriek, grasping your neck as well. You look down at the gray fur and long nails and yell for help, hoping Mercury is near. No one responds, and the wolf hauls your head up and shoves you in a bag. You muffle something through the cloth they stuffed in your mouth, but there is still no response. A bunch of things are going through your head right now. What? Who the heck is this? What do they want from me? What is even happening right now? You fall silent and rest your head as you feel the  wolf moving you to an unknown place.
