I start to freak out as the big spot of blood red starts to consume everything. I quickly bolt out of my kitchen, the red following after me, and I make it to  the stairs that lead to the next floor of my house. Where my family was killed. I take two steps at a time, almost tripping on the last step. I run into my old room, the room that I watched from as the souls of my sister and brother were consumed.

I look back over to the stairs and the red isn't there. The ghosts from this morning were. A man and a young  girl just staring at me with blank faces, no emotions. I exit the room and take a step towards them, my chest starting to ache. Suddenly the man stands before me, a smile on his face, and when I instantly recognize him. My dad. That smile is the one thing I saw everyday while my siblings got scowls and glares, they envied me for my gift but he was proud of me for it.

"Dad?" I ask, my voice small.

The ghost's smile turns to a frown and I feel something inside me snap and I fall to the ground, my vision going in and out. I hear my front door slam open, heavy footsteps climb the stairs, and then something that I can only describe as a spell being cast.

"It was feeding off her emotions, gaining strength to attack." Someone said, i could sense them bending down next to me.

My vision went back to normal but I couldn't move, all the energy from my body removed in one action. I could barely talk, a huge lump in my throat and I could feel tears streaming down my cheeks.

"You ok?" A male voice said from my left.

"She can't move, Dylan, so I doubt she can talk." A female voice said from my right.

"I...I can talk..." I say in a whisper. "Can..can someone help me up..?"

" I got it." Said the male, who I presume to be Dylan.

He helps me up and my legs are so shaky that I have to lean into him to keep standing. I close my eyes as I take a deep breath, pain coursing through me as I fill my lungs with the cold air around me. "Thanks." I tell him.

"Its no problem. I can help you get down stairs unless you want to be carried?" He offers.

"She can walk, Dylan." A girl with dirty blonde hair says, grabbing my arm and pulling me away from him.

She lets go of my arms and I black out, the loss of much needed warmth and my shaking legs and major loss of energy making my body shut off.

I wake up in the back seat of a four door car. I sit up and almost right away I feel light headed, I look around and notice that the vehicle is not moving and I look at the front seat to find that its at a stop light and the girl with blonde is driving while the guy who's name is Dylan is asleep. I notice that he has dirty blonde, practically light brown, hair and it is a little shaggy and covers his forehead a bit. The girl glances over at me and smiles, a small but bright smile.

"Glad to see you awake, Luna. Dylan had to carry you bridal style out of your house. Sadly, he refused to be your pillow even though I knew he would love to be." The girl says. Dylan turns his head away in his sleep.

"How do you know my name?" I ask.

"We've been assigned to take you to headquarters. Sorry about Stella and Solar, the darkness just had to target them for numerous unknown reasons. Dylan is just like you, wolf ears and tail and magic that no one else has except you. I saw how he looked at you when you leaned into him before you blacked out."

"Headquarter? Darkness killing my friends for 'unknown' reasons? That guy being just like me?" I asked talking really fast.

"My name's Hanna, by the way." She said as the light turned green.

Hanna started driving and Dylan started to wake up. I notice he has wolf ears that are exactly like mine, I don't want to be caught looking for a tail on him.

A few hours later, Hanna pulls onto a dirt road and stop the car. When she turns it off, Dylan wakes up and opens his door after taking off his seatbelt. Both of them exit the car and I do the same. My ears and tail showing in the moonlight, my tail wagging like a dog's when it is excited. I see Dylan glace over at me from the corner of my eyes as I scan the trees that surrounds us. A sinking feeling appears in my chest and I grow worried by my surroundings. We are in the middle of nowhere and it's only us three.

"You've never been in a forest before?" I hear Dylan ask from behind me, I feel him putting his hand on my shoulder and I turn my head to look at him.

He has the most reassuring smile right now, like he knows how it is to be in a new place and to be with complete strangers. But this place is not new to me for it was where my mom took me when I little when she found out I was special, that I am a werewolf and she was attacked here and almost killed.

I feel tears forming in my eyes, the tears start to fall as I see the image of my mom mangled and bloodied. I close my eyes, looking away from both of these people. Then, Dylan turns me around and he pulls me close, wrapping his arms around my back as if to comfort me or something.

"Hanna, go tell everyone that we are here. Luna will share my room with me, since I only know how she feels." Dylan tells Hanna.

"Ok!" I hear hanna say, I can tell she has a huge smile on her face from how she said that.

"Luna, I know what happened to your mother in these woods and what happened in your house. I don't know exactly how you feel but I just want to help, the best way I can, and that's why you'll be sleeping in my room with me, ok?" Dylan says, pushing me back a foot or so.

I look up at him and his eyes just stare into my blue eyes. "Ok.." I say. This guy is too kind to me, nicer than anyone else.

"Sorry to bring this up but how did that ghost get so close to you in your house?" Dylan asks me.

"That ghost looked like my dad, with a proud smile that only I would get. I didn't even sense a threat when I went into that hallway, it was like all my wolf senses were shut off and I couldn't move when you and hanna saved me."

"Could I ask why only you got a proud smile from your dad?"

"My dad was proud of me because I'm a werewolf who can see and talk to spirits. I saved my mom and siblings' souls but I was too late to save his..." The tears started up again.
