"Run!" My best friend yelled, her voice filled with pain.

"Luna! You must get out of here!" My best friend's boyfriend, Solar, yelled.

Both of their voices, laced with pain and struggle but at the same time: hope. They don't usually have hope.

Stuck in place, I watched them die. Their souls freed from their bodies, looking for a new life. A darkness looming over their souls, slowly eating them away and destroying them. I acted fast and opening a locket and saving parts of their souls, almost lacing them into mine like most others. The darkness then coming at me, fire in it's grasp and...

I wake up in a cold sweat. My heart beating fast. "It was a dream." I say to myself, "just another dream."

I slowly get up with a sigh, my head throbbing, and I walk to my light blue dresser, almost tripping over a few things on the floor. I grab a pair of shorts that reaches down to my mid-thigh and a blue sleeveless flannel with a white tank top, it's going to be hot today so I chose the right outfit. I take my sweats off and put on the shorts, the feeling of the jean material being perfect for once. I take my t-shirt off and put on the tank top and sleeveless flannel, I just can't get enough of all my flannels and the sleeveless ones being my most favorite.

Once I'm done changing, I head out of my room into the kitchen to get a cup of coffee. I make a pot of coffee and as I wait for it to finish, I sit on my couch and watch some kind of show that has a bunch of vampires in it. Suddenly, I hear the coffee maker stop and get up to grab a cup of coffee just as I hear something peculiar.

"Hello?" A sweet voice asks, almost childish.

I turn around, shocked. It's been ages since I heard a voice other than my own in this house. My parents died a few years ago and I've been living alone since and no one's came here, or ever will.

"Shh..." I hear, this time from a different direction and then a gust of air.

I look towards the stairs that lead to the rest of the house, the part of my home that I never go now, not since the death of my parents. The spirits of a little girl with an adult man are sitting on the bottom steps, the male spirit with his over the girl's mouth and the other around her neck. I blink once and they're gone. I quickly grab a cup of coffee and get my boots on.

"That can't have been real." I whisper to myself, the thought of something like that actually happening being slim.

I get my maroon jacket, that fits someone double my size, and put it on. It hides my tail perfectly and when I have the hood up, it hides my ears. I am the last human-wolf hybrid that I know of so I have to do my best to keep what makes me part wolf a secret.

"You can't hide forever..."

I turn around to see who said that, no one was there...

"Who's there?" I ask, looking all around me.

"You can't see me..."

An evil erupts from no where, making me a little more alert than usual. I grab my bag and put on my favorite black, lace up boots that go to the middle of my shin.

I leave my house, which I do live alone in, and head to my high school. It has others that are sorta like me but not the same as me. My friend, who's name is Stella, is half vampire and so is her boyfriend, who's name is Solar. Weird names, I know. Stella and Solar both have magic, fire magic to be specific, and they both have light blond hair. Stella always has her hair down to hide the markings on the back of her neck, the marking give her her magic, and Solar has his hair in sorta like a pixie cut but for males. Solar has marking on his chest so he always wheres a dark colored long sleeve shirt to hide them better, his markings also give him his magic.

When I get to school, I head straight to my first class, Biology. It's my favorite class because in it I get to do labs and all of that kind of stuff. Stella and Solar also share that class with me, which I am greatful for because many students here dislike me for being the sour the chic I am. I just don't really socialize that well so I push everyone away, always have and probably always will.

"Ms. Luna, please report to the main office. Ms. Luna please report to the main office, thank you!" Announced the intercom when I entered my classroom. I groan because I had just gotten to my seat.

I grabbed my bag from my desk, after standing back up, and I hurry to the main office. They usually call me into there when they need help with something, or someone, and I could feel that this day would be harder than the rest.

"What is it now?" I ask once I get there, my mood now sour.

"There's been some weird activity around campus this morning, a dark form lurking around the special students." The principle says.

I freeze. "A dark form" could mean anything but if it was the same from the dream I had earlier...

"Luna? Are you alright?" He asks me.

I gulp down a lump in my throat. "I am fine. Just 'dark form' reminds me of something bad, very bad. Keep all of the students like me in a classroom, and have Stella and Solar meet me where this 'dark form' was first spotted." I say, my tail wrapping tightly around my waist because this really scares me.

"Alright. The dark form was first spotted on the football field, we don't need another incident." States the principle, which makes me a little curious as to what happened.

"What do you mean by that?" I asked the principle.

"A special male student was found dead, the life drained out of him."

"So it is the same as in my dream..." I mutter under my breath.

"What was that?"

"I said 'thank you for the information.'" I say, trying to keep my face emotionless.

If this "dark form" is the darkness from my dream, then Stella and Solar are going to die. First things first, I have to get my locket from my locker.

I quickly run out of the main office, a few staff members glaring at me. I make it to my locker and when I open it, a fowl stench appears near by as well as a few screams...
