The Necklace☽10☾

Isabel, Klaus, and Stefan are in a clothing store, the two men drinking champagne while Isabel drank tea as they waited for Rebekah who is trying on clothes.

"There has to be more to this dress," Rebekah complained.

"There's not."

Flashes of the blonde woman flew across her eyes. The name 'Bekah' was whispered then 'Parabatai' then lastly 'Queen' her eyes fluttered open to see Rebekah in a short, black dress.

"So do a lot of women in the 21st-century dress like prostitutes?" She asked directing her question toward the dirty blonde female. "You know, I got dirty looks for wearing trousers."

"Some women like to look like...that but there are other clothes that look much better," Isabel answered looking up from her baby she was bouncing on her knee.

"And what is this music? It sounds like a cable car accident."

This time Stefan answered. "It's dance music."

"People dance to this?" Rebekah asked disgustedly.

"Hmm." Stefan hummed.

"Are we done?" Nik asked bored.

Rebekah walked over to them with a pout. "And why are you so grumpy?"

"I needed one thing from you for my witch to find out why my hybrids are dying, one thing. Your necklace. And you lost it."

"I didn't lose it. It's just been missing for 90 years." Rebekah stated before looking at Stefan and spinning. "So what do you think?"

Stefan pursed his lips and nodded once before saying, "I like it." The blonde Original gave him a look telling him she was highly unsatisfied with his answer.

"What?" He smiled in amusement. "I said I like it."

"I can always tell when you're lying, Stefan." She stated while walking back into the fitting room.

Klaus looks at Stefan and sighed while holding back his laugh of entertainment. "Nice one." He raised his champagne glass. "Good work."

"You're the one that pulled the damn dagger out of her." Isabel mused. "So good work to you."

"I heard that." Rebekah's voice rung out from behind the curtain.

"All right." Stefan sat up. "I'm going to get some fresh air." He set his glass down while Klaus continued to pour himself some.

When Klaus was about to down the drink Isabel snatched it from his hands. "That's enough of that." He thought she was going to take a drink so he decided to finish off the bottle not noticing she dumped the drink in a plant to her right.

Then she quickly took his bottle and poured it into the plant as well.

"Really?" He asked.

"The plant wanted some too." She grinned.

Gloria sat at a table, her hands floating above a large tome on a table filled with candles. Klaus and Isabel sat at the bar and Rebekah sat on the bar all three of them watch the witch work her magic.

Rebekah saw Stefan enter and said, "you left us."

"Yeah, sorry. Retail therapy was making my head explode." Stefan lied.

"Tell me about it," Klaus whined as he took a sip of his drink. Isabel had given up on getting him to stop drinking.

Stefan looked at Gloria. "What's she doing?"

"She's failing," Klaus said annoyed.

"It's hard to find something when you don't have anything to go on."

"So use me." Rebekah offered, swinging around the bar to get off. "I only wore it for a thousand years."

"See? Now this one offers a solution." Rebekah sat on the clear part of the table. "All right, give me your hand, sweetheart." Rebekah placed her hand in the witches ready to find the necklace her mother had given her over a thousand years old.

"She's, uh...she's looking for the necklace, huh?"

After a few moments of silence, Gloria spoke up. "I can sense something." Immediately Stefan seemed a little bit worried. Gloria then started to cast a spell. "Anta Cotis Syrum, Anta Cotis Syrum..."

Gloria dropped Rebekah's hand and looked at Klaus and Stefan.

"I found it."

Rebekah leaned forward, toward the witch. "So where is it?"

"It doesn't work like that, doll. I get images." The old witch informed her. "There's a girl with her friends..."

"Yes, a dead girl with dead friends, if I don't get my necklace back."

"Well, I'll have to dive back in to get the details."

"So dive," Klaus said walking over.

"I need more time." He stopped and leaned on the table Gloria was seated at. "And space. You're harshing my ju-ju."

"We can wait, can't we?" Isabel asked with a raised brow.

"I'm sure you can." She looked Isabel in the eyes. "But that's not what I asked."

"Hey," Stefan said patting Klaus' back. "Hey, you know, why don't we just come back later. I'm hungry anyway. I'll let you pick who we eat." Stefan persuaded before walking away.

Klaus looks at Rebekah and they start to leave with Stefan until Isabel said, "I'll just stay here."

"No Bel." Klaus protested beckoning her over. She rolls her eyes at him.

"No Bel." She mocked.

In a warehouse, Klaus sat on a couch drinking from a girl with Stefan doing likewise seated in a chair. Rebekah looked at them sitting atop a nearby crate.

"My girl's dead. I'm bored."

"I'm not a vampire. I'm bored." Isabel stated from beside Rebekah. She had turned away from the three as she laid Rose on her back up against her bent legs. She spent the time just caressing Rose's chubby cheeks and her tiny feet or playing with her baby fingers.

Klaus stopped feeding and looked at Stefan. "You weren't kidding about being hungry."

Stefan detached his lips from the girl's neck. "Yeah. It's been a long day."

"Try being related to her," Klaus said looking toward his youngest sibling and Stefan laughed.

"You're being mean." Rebekah pouted at her brother. "And why are you being mean? You used to love me."

"It's been ninety years, Rebekah. Give him a minute."

"Why are you taking his side?" Rebekah asked furrowing her brows.

"Because, my dear sister, I feel pity for any man who doesn't give you what you want."

"Will you stop making me out to be a brat? I am not a brat!" Rebekah whined.

Yeah. Because that is so going to convince him you aren't a brat.

"A thousand years of life experience says otherwise." Nik retorted.

"Well, you're no picnic, either. I mean, I've only spent one summer with you and I feel like I want to blow my head off." Stefan replied.

"Fantastic." Rebekah laughed.

Stefan dropped the dead girl he was feeding from on the ground. "I need to go," he said while getting up and walking away.

"Where's he going?" Rebekah asked.

"To write a name on a wall. It's a long story."

Isabel sat in a diner eating food with Rose next to her. Klaus had left a little while ago to check up on 'things' and she stayed to finish her food and take a rest from the vampires that have been around her for three months.

About thirty-five minutes later in though Klaus came rushing to her.

"Come on love, we have to get going."

"Why? What's wrong?" Isabel asked clearing up her plate and grabbing her child's car seat.

"It's time we get back on the road again. I may have found my solution." He grabbed her hand and they both exited the place.

"That's awesome, Nik." She squeezed his hand lightly before letting go and walking faster to get to the car.

He stared at her adoringly before shaking his head and catching up with her.

Stefan woke up with a start inside the back of a truck filled with the coffins he looked up to see both Isabel and Klaus are looking at him.

"Just give me a chance to explain myself, okay?"

"No need. I'm not mad, I'm just curious. Rebekah seems to think you're holding onto something. A piece of your old life. The thing is, she's got flawless instincts, borderline supernatural. So I thought I would check it out. See for myself what it is you've been hiding." He opened the back of the truck to reveal they're in Mystic Falls once more.

Stefan knew he was in trouble in so many ways. First, Klaus would find Elena and do who knows what, then Tyler -who has been trying to find his girlfriend for months- would chew him up and spit him out for Isabel breaking her curse and for not sending her back when she had the baby or not letting her call him, then Isabel would be angry at him for keeping Elena a secret.

"Welcome back to Mystic Falls, Stefan, Bel."

"We're home." Isabel grinned excitedly.

"Great," Stefan said trying to keep out the worry from his tone.
