Isabel, along with Caroline had driven Bonnie, Jamie and her mother to her mother's cabin far away from everyone in Mystic Falls. Isabel helped them the best she could while she was there which just a few days because Matt and Carol couldn't watch over Rose forever.
Isabel even talked to Elena a few times. The first time was Izzy apologizing for not helping the Salvatores in getting her back but Elena ended up forgiving her knowing that her job to protect the Originals prohibits her from doing anything harmful against them, then Elena went on to ask about Bonnie and see if Bonnie's phone maybe died because the witch wasn't answering any text or phone calls from Elena.
After the fourth phone call check-in from the doppelgänger, the blonde werewolf tried to get Bonnie to talk to Elena but the witch refused and she gave up understanding that Bonnie wanted a break from Elena.
Soon enough Isabel was on her way home when she got the news that Alaric had an evil second identity who stabbed himself. She was going to head over to him before she went back to the Lockwood mansion to relieve Carol of her babysitting duties.
Her phone rang and without looking she pressed accept and speakerphone.
"Hello?" She asked, concentrating on her driving.
"Hello, my darling little wolf."
"How did you even-" She sighed. "You know what? I'm not even going to ask. What do you want Kol?"
From the other end, Kol smirked. "Why do you think I want something?"
"Doesn't everybody?" She asked with a raised brow even if he couldn't see her.
"Well, not this time. I'm just bored." He sighed while leaning slightly to the left with his head in his hands on the bar he was sat at.
"Well, I can't talk." She told him.
"I'm driving."
"You are talking right now, are you not?" He asked with amusement.
"I meant-" She sighed. "I just can't talk for much longer while driving."
"Fine. I'll just drown myself in alcohol till I can't think. Bye, darling."
She rolled her beautiful blue eyes at the term of endearment and his try at keeping her on the line. "Bye Kol."

"Little early in the day for you, isn't it?" Damon asked entering a room in the Salvatore Boarding house.
"Just having a little toast," Stefan said.
"To what?" Damon inquired with furrowed brows.
"Control."
"If you're happy, I'm happy." Damon smiled sounding happier than normal.
"Why are you in such a good mood? Sage double-crossed you, tree's a pile of ash, Alaric's got a psychopathic alter ego." Stefan asked confused. Usually, his brother was all doom and gloom.
"You know, Stefan, I'm a philanthropist, I make the world a better place. Restoring bridges, landmarks, and..." Damon yanked the paper off what he carried into the room. He showcased the Wickery Bridge sign. "Historical signs made of the same white oak as the Wickery Bridge."
Stefan stood up and looked at the sign in astonishment. "They think all the wood burned."
"I sold my rage," he said with a smirk. "Whew! You should have seen me."
"We have a weapon," Stefan said wrapping his head around what his brother had done.
"Game's back on, brother." Damon informed him with a winning smirk. "Let's go kill some Originals."

Isabel knocked on the door to Alaric's apartment with a box of soft chocolate chip cookies in her hands.
"Oh hey, mama wolf." Damon greeted her, only opening the door wide enough for his head and a fraction of his body to show.
She went to step forward but he stopped her and she furrowed her brows in confusion with the vampire. "Alaric is idecent but fine." Damon flashed her a smile but she doesn't show any sign of amusement or giving up.
"So there were no issues last night?" She asked while folding her arms. "Alaric is Alaric?"
"Nope." His smile widened. "Slept like a baby, woke up Alaric. No headlines about dead council members."
"Why do I have this overwhelming feeling that you are hiding something from me?" Damon turned his head from Isabel to inside the apartment and she took the opportunity to try and push the door in but Damon stopped it from getting too far.
"Well, maybe because you are being a little paranoid. What do you have for me?" He goes to grab the box from her hands but she pulled back with a glare.
"It's funny that you think these are for you."
"Fine. But sadly, Ric's gonna have to miss Wolfy time today. Because lockdown and all."
"First, you're an ass. Second, just take these and give it to him, tell him I'm sorry about what he's going through right now. Okay?" She asked while holding out the box of goods.
"With pleasure." He snatched the box from her hands and she lets out a huff. She didn't think he was going to just give them to Alaric like she wanted.
"Please." She gave him a look telling him to share the cookies meant for Alaric.
Damon began to shut the door. "Have a wonderful day mama wolf, thanks for coming by."
"Ass."
Damon closed the door and listened to Isabel's movements.
"Walking down the stairs, opening the front door, and she's gone." He walked over to Ric and Stefan who are standing by a miter saw making stakes from the last remaining white oak, which just so happens to be the Mystic Falls Wickery Bridge sign.

Finn made his way down the street when Klaus approached him and they start walking together.
"Hello, Finn." Klaus greeted his brother.
"Hello Niklaus. I have nothing to say to you," he said not even sparing a glance at the hybrid.
"Well, I'm not here to chat. I will ask you one time though, where's our mother?"
"Gone to find another way to end our abominable lives." He responded nonchalantly. "And when she does, I will sacrifice myself all over again."
"Well, how fortunate that I found you, I require your assistance." Klaus notified the man.
"I have no wish to help you. Only to see you dead." He seethed.
"Right, well, that's the thing; you see you won't be able to see me dead, because if I die, then you die. So, wish unfulfilled, I'm afraid." He mocked.
"Oh, bother Isabella with your hollowed charms, Niklaus," he said expressing his annoyance.
"Why? Why not come bother my big brother?" He asked in mock hurt. "I need you to accompany me back to Mystic Falls, I have a witch there who can help undo Esther's spell that linked us together."
"I have no wish to be unlinked." He told Klaus who moved in front of Finn and placed his hand on his chest to prevent him from moving on.
"Again with the wishes." Klaus smirked. "Let me rephrase, you will come back with me or I will put you back in that coffin in which you rotted for 900 years."
"What happens to one, happens to all. You may not feel the effects of the dagger, but you'd lose your precious Rebekah." Finn told him matter-of-factly.
"Wouldn't be the first time." Klaus brushed off.
Finn shoved past him and started to walk off as Klaus watched him leave. Finn vamp sped down an alleyway but Isabel obstructed his path.
"Let's not make this more difficult," Isabel advised him.
"You're siding with him? Isabella, he stored his own family in boxes."
"Well, at least he's not attempting to make you all go extinct." Isabel spat.
Finn spun around to see Klaus now stood behind him. "What are you gonna do? Kill me?" He asked deriding the blonde man.
"Oh yeah, that's right, you've got a death wish," Klaus said in amusement. "Fine, pathetic, but fine. The thing is, I'm not gonna let you take the rest of us down with you."
Isabel snuck up behind Finn and broke his neck allowing him to crumple to the ground.
"Thanks love."

The moment Isabel and Klaus came back, the wolf went to the kitchen passing Rebekah on the way.
She went straight to the refrigerator and grabbed some pickles before making her way back to Klaus to see he introduced the girl he had Rebekah go and find.
"Hello, Finn." She greeted her old lover.
"Sage!" Finn shouted as Isabel watched his face brighten.
Sage grinned at him. Finn hurried to his feet seeing she was real and rushed over to her. He buried his face into her fiery red hair the instant they embraced.
"What do you know, true love prevails." Rebekah muttered watching them.
Klaus received a text from Kol saying,
Let me know when I'm needed. -K
"It does occasionally have its uses." He admitted peering at Isabel who continued to watch the two before writing back to Kol,
I will. -N
"Easier than torturing him." Klaus finished.
"I have something to do," Rebekah told her brother wanting to get on with her own business. "What do you need from me for this spell?"
"Just your blood and your blessing. Where are you going?" He asked.
"I have some unfinished business with Damon Salvatore. Ask Sage what he did to me. Then you'll understand why retribution is in order."
"All he needs to do is open his mouth and that gives me enough reason to get retribution." Isabel murmured causing the Original to smile a bit as she left.
"Isabella?" Isabel looked to Finn to see him smiling down at her as he clutched Sage's hand. "Thank you for bringing me to her. It means a lot."
"I figured if you found the one you loved more then anything you'd stop this death nonsense. Besides. It was a group effort. Enjoy yourselves." She told them with a smile.
≪≫•≪≫•≪≫
Klaus had Isabel sit with Bonnie so that Bonnie would feel more relaxed and the wolf had no problem with it.
"Let me guess, Klaus kidnapped you?" Isabel asked as she propped her feet up on the head of a chair as she stared at Bonnie upside down.
"Yeah."
"He did that to me too. You know. When I went with him and Stefan."
"I don't understand why you still stand by them. I mean I know it's your job but don't you think it's a little risky?" Bonnie inquired glancing up from the grimoire.
"I- it's just this feeling. Like I have to be there. I feel like they are family." Klaus stood by as he eavesdropped on them with a gentle look on his face. "Of course if it was between them and my daughter or brother I'd choose my brother and daughter but when it comes to them and anyone else, I'd choose to help them. Because deep down I just have this feeling under all the violence is just a messed up family who haven't learned how to be a real loving family."
"You certainly fit the job." Bonnie smiled.
"I just hope I do it right." She confessed as she looked back up at the ceiling. "I am just a teenager."
"I should hear chanting by now," Klaus declared, entering the room the two girls occupied.
"I'm still studying the unlinking spell. It's not that easy, especially under duress." Bonnie glowered at the hybrid.
"I need you to hurry with it Bonnie. I don't have time for this."
"This is the spell. I just don't know if I'm strong enough," Bonnie said.
"Then you should have a little more faith in yourself, Bonnie." Klaus moved towards Bonnie. "Your energy helped my mother link us. I think you are plenty capable of this spell. Remember Bonnie." He shook his phone as a reminder of Jeremy's life on the line.
≪≫•≪≫•≪≫
Bonnie and Isabel hear a scream from the other room and the witch turned around, startled.
"What was that?"
"I wouldn't let it bother you, love," Klaus told her impatiently. "Can you just get back to work?"
"Well, it does bother me. You bother me. Because you use people to get what you want and it's not right."
"You're being emotional, Bonnie. I understand that things have been rough for you. You know, with your mother leaving. Again. It's sad, I get it." He empathized. "I can help you find her, if you want. I have people who can find people who can bring her back to you." He offered but she didn't look pleased.
"I don't think she wants her mother forced to stay with her," Isabel informed the hybrid.
"Fine then, onto more important matters, I know it's in the grimoire and I know it requires the blood of my siblings, so here we are." Klaus grabbed a case and opened it to reveal four bottles of blood within it. Klaus pointed to them individually. "Elijah. Rebekah. Kol. Finn." Klaus bit into his hand, held his bloody hand clenched in a fist and looked at Bonnie, blood leaking from his fist. "Where do you want this?"
Bonnie looked away and grabbed a glass, holding it under Klaus's hand so his blood could drip into it.
Bonnie kneeled and started the spell to unlink the Originals by pouring one of the vials of blood into the cup. Soon she mixed all the siblings' blood and poured it onto the table.
As she chanted the blood started to disperse into five different circles and the flames flare up as Bonnie neared the end of the spell, the large pool of blood becoming five separate pools of blood that are moving farther and farther away from each other.
When Bonnie finally finalized the spell, the pools of blood are entirely detached.
Klaus looked at her with an appreciative look on his face while Isabel grinned. "Thank god that's done."
≪≫•≪≫•≪≫
Isabel started getting a headache and feeling a bit queasy so she told Bonnie she'd be right back. She had wondered into Kol's room, Klaus' room, and a closet before she found the bathroom. By the time she looked in the mirror, she saw she looked really pale.
Suddenly, she cried out. But a touch on her shoulder snapped her out of it and mellowed her out. She looked up to see Finn Mikaelson.
"What- what are you doing here?" She asked as confusion overtook her features. She gulped and stepped back but Finn clutched onto her arm gently.
"I'm not here to hurt you, my Queen." He told her softly. Even though she sided with his brother who he thought to be horrible he couldn't help by adore that about the blonde: her willingness to side with even the worst of people and try to help.
"How are you here? Weren't you wit-"
"Only you can see me." She looked at him in confusion. "I have been killed." Her mouth parted in shock and she felt sympathy for him.
"I'm so sorry Finn." She quickly embraced him in a hug taking him by surprise. He was taller then her so he was able to gently give her a hug and pat her hair at the same time.
He leaned down to her ear and said, "it was nice to meet you, Isabella. Though I wish it could have been different." He took a deep breath of air and let out a sad sigh as he stood straight and backed away. "I wish you the best. And I feel that would only come if you left my family behind."
"Don't make me cry Finn." She laughed, ignoring what he said last as tears brimmed her eyes and she backed up. "It's not cool."
"You shouldn't cry for me." He shook his head. "I don't deserve it." He wiped the tear that had fallen from her eye away with the pad of his thumb. "Thank you for caring."
He started to disappear and Isabel couldn't help but sob a little. "I'm sorry, Finn. And your welcome. Always right?"
"If only it could have been forever."
Once he was gone Isabel sniffled before wiping away the tears. She had discovered a new part to this whole parabatai thing. She was supposed to comfort them before they finally left. And even if Finn spent most the time she knew him trying to kill her parabatai's, she couldn't bring herself to hate him after being the one he had his last conversation with.
She just couldn't.
≪≫•≪≫•≪≫
After Isabel adjusted herself, she went back to Bonnie. She didn't know if his siblings knew but she didn't want to tell them. She couldn't find it in herself to break the news to them. Especially knowing that as much as he hurt them they still, in their own way, loved him.
"Aw, leaving so soon?" Rebekah asked noticing Bonnie and Isabel heading out.
"Sister." Klaus warned. "Be nice."
"Yeah, be nice." Rebekah scowled at her slightly making Isabel shrink back slightly with a grimace on her face.
"Thank you, Bonnie. See you in physics class." Rebekah smiled a mischevious smile and walked away, revealing Damon in the snares in the room Rebekah just walked out of.
"Oh my God," Bonnie said while Isabel gaped at the bloody sight.
"Yeah, you'll have to excuse the mess." Klaus spoke up. "Apparently Damon hurt her feelings. Go on, help him. Save the man who turned your mother into a vampire."
Bonnie looked at Damon again and instantly knew her decision. "Just get me out of here." Isabel didn't protest, not wanting to mess with Rebekah's little torturing session.
"Very well," Klaus said escorting Bonnie and Isabel out.
When Klaus disappeared Bonnie turned to Isabel and fell into her arms crying.
"Oh, Bonnie." She frowned feeling bad for the witch.
≪≫•≪≫•≪≫
"Did you know about the Salvatores and their many white oak stakes?" Klaus asked over the phone.
"What? No, I thought-" Realization hit her and she scowled. "Dammit Damon." She realized Damon had kept her out of the apartment most likely because he had the stakes. And more then just one.
"They know what you guys mean to me. They aren't going to tell me what they're planning for you guys."
"Well, that's one less person to worry about. Bye Bel."
There is something in the details in the next chapter that makes things spicy...
