"Look, man, this guy is dangerous." Tyler told Dean, another hybrid. He had medium length brown hair that was parted to the right stopping at his ear while the rest of his hair stopped at the nape of his neck and clear greenish eyes. "He's highly trained. He's armed."
Hayley heard the two talking and leaned up against a doorway just a few feet from another doorway that led to the room Tyler and Dean were in.
"I can handle myself." Dean defended himself. "Besides Klaus asked me personally."
Isabel walked in front of Hayley's line of vision standing in between the two doorways but the blonde werewolf did not see her because she was looking in the room where Dean and Tyler were.
The blonde watched Dean walk away from Tyler but Tyler followed him. The teen wolf knew Klaus' plan was a terrible idea for the hybrid to follow through with and he had to convince Dean of that.
"This is a bad idea." Tyler argued with the hybrid.
Isabel turned around one they disappeared from her view into a different part of the room only to see the girl with hazel eyes, sun kissed skin, and brunette hair standing there. She furrowed her brows not having met her before.
"Uh, who are you?" She asked.
"Who the hell are you?" Hayley asked back.
"Well I asked first but since I'm trying to be civil...it's Isabel."
"Oh, you're Tyler's girl. He told me about you. I'm Hayley." She introduced herself trying to be polite to the girl who radiated power from her wolf side.
"Well, Hayley, that's pretty crazy, because I haven't heard a thing about you," Isabel said back in an instant, taking the defensive side.
"I've been coming by here every now and then for few days," Hayley said as if she should have known something about her. But the facial expression Isabel had told her that Tyler definitely hasn't talked to Isabel about her once. It hurt her feelings but she understood he didn't want to get in trouble with Isabel.
"Excuse me? What?" She asked wondering how she never even seen her around.
Granted Isabel spent some time with Kol playing baseball and helping him with his hunger:
"Would you like to spend some time with your lovely parabatai today?" Isabel asked over the phone.
"Depends." Kol's voice sounded over the phone.
"On what?"
"Am I going to get yelled at for calling my brother back?" He asked. He knew she wanted a break from Nik but he also knew Nik would do anything to protect her so he had to call his brother while he left again.
"That's still up for debate." She smiled mockingly even if he didn't see her he could tell she was just messing with him.
"Then I'll just have to take that chance. Where do you want me to meet you and when?"
"How about in front of the Grill at one o'clock?"
"Sounds good," he said, already putting on his jacket. "See you there, Bella."
Spending time with Matt at the Grill:
"If I keep eating at the Grill I'm going to get fatter and I'm never gonna lose the baby fat." She complained.
Matt chuckled at his sister as she stuffed her face with her hamburger. "You suggested to go here. I would have been just fine staying in and watching movies."
"As much as I like staring at Anakin's non burnt up gorgeous face. I have to take a break." She admitted.
"There's always...what?" Matt asked, counting the movies in his head. "Three more movies without his face."
"As weird and awkward as the prequels could be, I prefer them much more." She told him. "I mean come on! She told him he made her feel uncomfortable with his stares. Yet he kept doing it and she still fell for him..."
Matt laughed as he watched his sister rant about Padmé and Anakin's love. She loved them but at the same time she didn't understand parts of it and she felt like it seemed rushed just a bit.
Or even going with Matt and Rose out of town to eat somewhere and just be alone for a while:
Rose sat on a high chair with Matt to her left and her mother to her right. Every once in a while Isabel would grab her root beer and straw, suck some of it in before slowly dripping it into Rose awaiting mouth.
"Do you think that's okay to give her?" Matt asked curiously.
"She loves this stuff. Besides, before I ever tried I asked a pediatrician. He said she'd be fine but never give her to much."
"Why root beer though? She's gonna be a root beeraholic at this rate."
Isabel feigned a hurt expression. "Because root beer is amazing. And I don't see anything wrong with her loving it," she said while taking a sip of her drink.
"Just wait until you have to start buying packs of it because she starts begging for it and giving you them adorable puppy eyes that you just can't resist. Then you'll start regretting this." Matt smiled at her. "And I will be laughing at you as you complain to me."
She scowled at him.
But she hadn't been gone so much to not see someone hanging around here.
"I needed a place to hang around." She explained carefully, metaphorically tucking her tail between her legs. "Ty's a buddy, he was kind enough to get me a place to stay and let me hang around here if I got bored."
Isabel slowly walked towards her, glaring slightly.
"I know all of Ty's buddies and I haven't heard about you." She crossed her arms. "Tyler should have told me before offering some random ass girl that I don't know a place to hang when our daughter is in this house-"
"You two have a daughter?" Hayley asked with wide eyes. Her heartbeat fast in her chest and she took a step back. She let out a horrified breath hoping to hell that Isabel never found out about what happened between them.
"He didn't tell you?" Isabel asked the anger in her growing as her mind worked faster then she could think. "How do you know him?"
"I helped him with his sire bond." She answered, feeling compelled to answer the Queen of wolves.
Isabel's eyes widen before turning a vibrant shade of blue. "Get out of my sight. Now." She ordered keeping a level voice. Hayley slightly bowed in submission before scampering off.
Isabel couldn't believe it. She couldn't believe him.
He brought her here. He brought her around me and our child!
She calmed herself down before she ripped up everything in her way. She'd give him a few days to fess up. If he didn't. They were over. She wasn't going to allow Tyler to just think it's okay to bring whoever he wants around and not tell her.
"Just listen to her man." Isabel entered the room where Tyler, Dean and Hayley stood with Hayley and Tyler's backs facing her. "It's suicide." Tyler argued as Isabel leaned against a white pillar just to the right of the archway inside the room.
"Klaus told you to take Connor on by yourself and you can't even fight back?" Tyler asked in disbelief. "You have to use non-lethal force. What the hell is that?"
"Klaus gave me a direct order," the hybrid said not backing down from the order he was given. His clear greenish eyes switched back and fourth between Hayley and Tyler wanting this conversation to be over.
"It's too dangerous." Hayley stressed. "That maniac already killed Nate."
"You're not a hybrid, you don't know what it's like." He dismissed her with his words and the point of his finger. "Klaus asks for something, you do it."
Hayley looked at Tyler as Tyler continued to look at Dean. Isabel's eyes glow blue for a short moment again but she quickly unclenched her fists and let out a deep calming breath.
Tyler walked over to Dean with a pleading look on his face. "Look, I'm a hybrid. I used to do everything Klaus said, but I don't anymore. You don't have to either."
"You think you can stand up to Klaus?" He asked digging in his pocket to grab his phone before handing it over to Tyler. "Prove it." He challenged him.
Isabel leaned off the pillar and took two steps closer to the trio in front of her. "Tyler, don't," Isabel told him not wanting him to start more trouble with Klaus. She knew if he continued this taunting, teasing and challenging Klaus would get riled up and most likely retaliate.
The hybrid looked at his baby mama, then looked at the phone. He took it and dialed Klaus' number before putting the phone to his ear, deciding to not listen to Isabel which caused her anger to surface through her eyes. She let out a quick and quiet scoff.
"Hello." Klaus answered not thinking of who the caller could be.
"Hey, Klaus." Tyler greeted him.
"Tyler!" Klaus said in surprise. "I hope you're not causing problems."
"I can do whatever I want," Tyler told him defiantly. "I'm not sired to you anymore."
"Fair enough." Klaus conceded. "Although I do happen to know your little secret about your time in Appalachia. What was your friends' name? Hayley, was it? You probably prefer I kept that to myself." Isabel looked between the two then down at her clasped hands hurt that Klaus didn't tell her he knew. Tyler looked behind him at his girlfriend knowing she heard and didn't answer Klaus. "I'm sorry, mate. Are you going to answer or should I just assume you're back to being...how did you phrase it? Ah, yes, my little bitch."
Tyler hung up the phone and cleared his throat as he handed the phone back to Dean. "Do whatever the hell you want." Tyler walked away and past his girlfriend without looking at her face once.
"That's it?" Hayley asked rushing after Tyler. "You just back down?"
Isabel stood in the middle of the room the tears building up but she doesn't let them fall. She scoffed and wiped at her nose.
"If it's any consolation I'm sorry about you finding out that way." The hybrid apologized. "That wasn't right."
"It doesn't." She told him, her blue eyes meeting his. "But thank you anyways."
As he nodded she briskly turned and walked away and pulled out her phone to call Stefan who's been texting her.
≪≫•≪≫•≪≫
Stefan and Isabel walk through the system of tunnels with a shovel in Stefan's hand. They hear the noise of Matt's hammer against the bricks making it easier for them to know where to go.
In the back room a small explosion from the Grill scared April and caused her to back up and run right into Stefan. She turned around, startled and gasped at seeing Stefan with Isabel who held a flashlight. Stefan covered her mouth and placed his finger to his lips, telling her to be quiet.
Stefan handed Damon's phone with the map on it to Matt.
"Follow this map, get out of here, take her to Caroline so she can..." Isabel stopped talking nodding towards April. Isabel brought her brother in for a small hug. "I'm glad you are safe. Now you should really go."
"Okay." Matt took April and started to walk away. "Just letting you both know, that guy is armed." Matt informed the two as he stopped walking. "If you go out there, he's gonna kill Jeremy."
"No one's killing anyone. Go," Stefan told the human.
April and Matt obey and crawl out through the panel in the wall.
"Looks like it's just you and me." Isabel filled the silence.
"Haven't had you as a partner in a while. What was it?" Stefan asked thinking back to when the last time they were together was.
Isabel smiled. "English project. Mrs. Johnson."
"Right." He smiled back. "I don't think Matt was happy to have me over."
"He got used to you after a while. I remember I almost had you as a partner for French before I got moved." She rempered she changed to art because French just wasn't for her after doing it for two years. "Now come on. Memory lane will have to wait. We got some saving to do hero hair."
Stefan smiled to himself and shook his head slightly as he followed the determined wolf.
≪≫•≪≫•≪≫
Isabel and Stefan had successfully saved Jeremy but Elena had killed Connor which Isabel didn't know seeing as she took Jeremy home and made sure Matt and April were okay before heading back to the Lockwood mansion.
The teen wolf walked into the room to see Tyler and Hayley pull apart from a hug to turn to look at her.
"I apologize," Isabel said sarcastically, crossing her arms. "Am I intruding?"
"Iz, it's not like that," Tyler said calmly. He didn't want a big scene but that was exactly what he was going to get.
"I keep waiting for you to make up some dumb story so at least I can call your ass out on it. Is that going to be now?" She asked angrily, throwing her hands in the air slightly before dropped by them. "Because I was going to give it a few days."
"I'll let you two talk." Hayley stated awkwardly.
"Thank you so very much." Isabel huffed. "How big of you." Hayley glanced at her knowing she was not actually thanking her before finally walking out of the room. "Bitch." She muttered once Hayley was out of hearing range.
"You have to understand..." Tyler started.
"No, you don't tell me what I have to do." She pointed at him. Although she was angry Tyler could see past that and see that she was hurt and she was masking it with anger. "I went through hell when I thought you died. I cried like an idiot and this whole time you've been keeping a secret from me about falling for some other werewolf in the Appalachians!"
"I never fell for her." Tyler argued walking closer to her.
What he said was true. He didn't fall for Hayley, at least not the way she wanted him to. But he did fall to the allure of the brunette wolf one or two nights.
Isabel scoffed as her nose flared. "Bullshit!" She yelled backing up away from him jerking her arms back as he tried to touch her.
"Isabel, she saved my life. I almost died trying to break the sire bond. Hayley was there for me, she helped me get through it, but nothing else happened." He stressed, continuing his steps toward her.
"Then you wouldn't have smelled like you did!" She stepped back from him again. "So Stop with the excuses!" She heard Rose start crying at the loud yelling and wiped under her eyes. Her voice got calmer though it slight shuttered. "I don't want to see you right now. I have a child to care for." She glared at him one last time before going to Rose's nursery.
"Hey, baby girl. It's okay." She cooed picking up the baby. She moved over to the rocking chair and sat down. The baby started to quiet down and lull to sleep in her mother's arms. "It's okay. Mommy is going to be okay." The blonde werewolf kissed the baby on the forehead before craddling her to her chest. She let out a quiet sob as tears streamed down her face. "We're gonna be okay."
