Bloody Birthday☽20☾

After a long conversation at night, Isabel had fallen asleep. But before she had fallen asleep her drowsy brain let it slip that her birthday was the next day and Kol immediately started to plan when he was going to come back to Mystic Falls.

So when she woke up, Isabel yelped as she scooted backward to get away from Kol who chuckled at her.

"What is it with you and Nik and scaring me awake? It's not even funny!" The werewolf groaned as she rubbed the sleep from her eyes but they still drooped a bit. "What are you even doing here?" She looked at her clock and her eyes widened. "At five-fifteen on a Sunday morning!"

Kol made a scooching motion with his hands as he slid into her bed, on top of the covers. "Ah, well, today is your birthday and since I hadn't met many of my parabatai's let alone celebrate their day of birth I decided since I am undaggered and have nowhere to go. I could spend the day with you." He told her as she leaned an elbow on her pillow and smushed her face against her hand.

"What if I already had plans?" She asked with a raised brow. "Like you know with my brother or friends?"

"If I'm not mistaken in your drowsy state you said, and I quote," He cleared his throat as he rose a brow at her small figure. "'Matt's busy at work until night. I don't want to be around Tyler until that horrendous scent has somewhat faded. Caroline offered a day of fun but I didn't want to bother her since she was busy decorating and she already let me off for the day." While he talked he grabbed a stuffed bear and played with the hands which amused the teen girl. "I don't want to bother Elena and Jeremy seeing as they have their own issues. And Bonnie is busy with her mother.' I may have paraphrased some of it."

"I said that?"

He smirked, looking up from the teddy bear and nodded. "Oh yeah. And then some."

"What do you have planned?" She conceded causing the smirk to grow wider on his handsome face.

"We can take Rose, you know?"

"It's to early for her besides she's spending some time with her father." Isabel grunted as she stepped over a large log. "Heaven knows she needs a little more of him."

"What about your sweet little blonde friend. Caroline was it?" He smirked at her as her eyes narrowed and she huffed.

"Busy with the dance like I said before. And she is off-limits to you Kol."

Kol held up his hands in surrender. "I don't fancy your little friend, darling. She's not my type."

"Blonde hair, blue eyes? Really funny and sweet?" Isabel asked with a chuckle. "The sweetest vampire you could meet? Well besides Lexi."

"No. The control-freak, vampire part. I'm more of a blonde werewolf type," Kol said unfazed with his words.

Isabel gaped at him before huffing out a chuckle. "Kooool."

"I'm just pulling your leg, darling."

"Speaking of pulling my leg... Can I just hop onto your back and you can speed us up this mountain. I'm winded over here."

"Are you really that tired? Or are you just to lazy to keep going?" He asked as he looked down at her.

"How about both?" She shrugged with a smile.

"Fine." He knelt on one knee and she stopped walking as she stared at him in disbelief. "Are you going to get on or not?"

The blonde werewolf started walking over and placed her hands on his shoulders. "Sorry. I was just surprised you actually- woah!" She gasped as he hooked his arms under her knees and sped off.

Isabel hid her face behind his head and back, clutching him tightly so that she didn't fall.

"Here we are." Kol told the girl who had a tight grip on his jacket and shirt. "I'm guessing that was your first time."

"Never, ever again." She shook her head without moving it off his back. "That was terrifying."

"You'll get use to it," he said as he tried to drop her legs but she just kept her tight grip on him. "Darling let go." Slowly she let go and he allowed her to drop down. He steadied her from arm's length away and when he noticed she was good he moved out of her view.

"What are we suppose to be looking at?" She asked only seeing valleys of trees and cliffs.

"Get comfortable and you shall see." He told her as he found a rock to sit on facing the open area with a perfect view of the sky.

"I don't get it." She huffed, sitting on the smaller boulder a few inches away from Kols. After a bit of silence and nothing, Isabel crossed her arms and shivered.

"Are you cold?" He asked and she nodded. "I told you to grab a jacket." He chuckled at her unamused face. "I'm kidding, darling. Relax." He shrugged off his jacket and draped it over her shoulders.

Isabel let out a sigh of content when the warmth engulfed her. She snuggled deeper into the jacket and smelled it. It smelt like Kol. A wonderful mystery.

"Are we just going to look at nature for my birthday?" Isabel asked as she turned to look a Kol who kept checking his iPod to see the time.

"Just one more minute," Kol told the blonde seeing it was close. Right when it hit six-thirty nine the sun peeked over. "There we go."

"It's so pretty," Isabel said, standing up from her spot to get a better look. The sky was a light blue with some orange and pink colors mixed in it. Not a cloud in the sky to interrupt the beauty before the two supernaturals.

"I thought you might like it. I wasn't too sure though. But I've always enjoyed nature and thought it might interest a girl like you. Colorful, bright, and beautiful."

"Thank you, Kol. Really." She turned away from the sunrise to see him about an inch away from her. "Oh." She quickly embraced him, awkwardly at first since he was so close and she wasn't expecting it.

Kol pat her back hesitantly and let one arm embrace her. He wasn't use to all the touchy stuff so he tried his best not to make it awkward for the werewolf. He inhaled deeply before abruptly turning away from Isabel.

"Hey." She tried to grab his arm but he yanked away from her, breathing heavily. "Hey, no. Don't do that." She reached up and grabbed at his face to turn it towards her slightly. She saw the veins creeping down and the crimson color filling his eyes as he slowly lost his control. "How long since you fed?" She asked but he looked away from her, trying to control himself. She could tell he didn't want to hurt her. That this wasn't what he planned to happen. "It's okay Kol. Don't feel ashamed. You won't hurt me. You don't want to. I know that." As he relaxed slightly Isabel walked in front of him.

The werewolf pulled her hair to the side before pulling his jacket off her right shoulder then pulling her red shirt down to let it hang. "Feed off me." She ordered him without hesitating.

"No." The answer came out gruff as he eyed her neck before spinning away from her ready to walk away and leave her.

"I said. Feed. Off. Me," the wolf said strongly, turning him around to face her again.

"I can't." He protested knowing that if he fed on her. He'd start something that he doesn't even know about. Just what his past witch friends were able to tell him. Which was be careful with whom you choose to be tenetur a sanguine. It's a very special bind. "You don't understand. If I-"

"I trust you Kol. You'll never get better with your control if you don't try. And who better to help then your ever so lovely parabatai?" She asked with a gentle and subtle smile.

He listened to her heart to hear it steady. His vampire eyes shoot up to her blue eyes as she stepped closer to him, allowing him to hold onto her. She moved her hair again and leaned her head to the side to give him better access to her.

He brought his left hand to cup her neck before he leaned down. "I hope you know what you're doing," the vampire said before finally sinking his fangs into her delicate flesh.

Isabel winced at the pain which Kol noticed. He tried to make it less painful through the bond as he bit in deeper. The werewolf thought it would hurt more but he was able to make it easier on her though she could still feel the pain. She looked up at the sunrise and relaxed into Kols grip. She brought her right hand up and ran it through his hair letting him know she was okay.

Kol couldn't detect what her blood tasted like but he knew it was sweet with a little spice. It tasted amazing on his tongue and he figured it was just because they were parabatai's. His left hand loosened on her neck when she relaxed but his grip on the soft flesh of her waist didn't. Her skin felt soft to the touch like a fluffy soft pillow and he couldn't help but run his thumb over the areas his thumb could reach.

Kol groaned when he felt Isabel's hand run through his hair which made him a little excited.

Isabel started to get a little drowsy and she knew it was time for him to let go. "Kol. You can do it. Let go." She placed her hands on his shoulder as she pushed lightly. Kol struggled to let go which she noticed. "Control it Kol. Control the urges," the werewolf said calmly. She knew if she struggled it would make it harder to get out of his grip and he would just feed on her harder. "Please."

Kol blinked before retracting his fangs and stumbling back. Isabel placed a hand to her neck so she could hide it from his view. He didn't need more temptation and she knew that. "You did it Kol." She smiled.

Isabel felt the wound heal and she wiped the blood on her leggings. She saw Kol wiping the blood off his chin with his thumb before sticking it in his mouth and ridding himself of the blood.

"You are deliciolus."

Isabel eventually came home and took the gifts from her friends up into her room before having dinner and cake with Carol, Tyler, and Rose.

"Can you put her to bed tonight?" Isabel asked Tyler as she yawned for what seemed like the tenth time that night.

"Are you sure you are okay?" Tyler asked as he adjusted Rose on his hip. The baby was leaning her head against his chest as she played with his shirt. "You seem exhausted."

"Yeah. I woke up early and haven't slept since." She somewhat lied. She knew part of it was from Kol but she couldn't tell him that.

"Okay." He kissed her forehead. "Sleep earlier tonight." She nodded before kissing Rose on the head and walking up to her room.

She opened her gifts to see a necklace from Caroline, two bracelets from Jeremy and Elena, a few wolf-like charms for that bracelet from Bonnie, a picture of a beautiful all brown Clydesdale horse with White legs from Klaus and a letter from Elijah.

She furrowed her eyebrows before opening it up. She yawned before reading it.

Dear Isabella,

I was informed it was your birthday today. I just wanted to say I'm sorry I could not be there and happy birthday. I don't know what kind of things you would like but maybe one day you could tell me and I would happily get it for you. Hope you had a nice day,
E.M

"Awe. Thanks Lijah." She yawned again as she set the letter down. Before she could change or crawl under the sheets her mind shut off completely and her eyes closed.

Tenetur in sanguine est: Kol Mikaelson.

A voice echoed.

2034 words all from my own head. I'm surprised and very pleased.

To whydontwefan002 for being excited about this chapter.

So the whole blood thing is surprisingly important. It actually help with what I already pre wrote. So yay for me.

I also didn't explain it but the whole blood thing made their connection (alone) stronger. It's not something she feels WHILE he's feeding so I couldn't really explain it but more of an automatic thing once she wakes up from her deep sleep.

Also this girl has a death wish. Or a little to much trust in Kol. He almost did hurt her.

Also I'm not good with writing the characters without the script. I hope Kol was okay enough. I really tried.

Oh and after Kol said "You are delicious" I face palmed so hard...
Literally me \/

I had toooo much fun with this\/

Kol: Can you just give me Bella? You know I'll treat her right.

Me: You- no. Just no. Not yet or maybe not ever.

Kol: Hailey please. I never get the girl. Don't you want me to be happy?

Me: You could be happy with me...

Kol: *awkwardly scratches the back of his neck* I just want Bella.

Me: *sighs in rejection* maybe you deserve to die then.

Kol: What?

Me: Nothinggggg. *smiles cheekily*
