"What do you mean she'll die?"

"I mean she'll be killed. I thought that was clear?"

"But why?" I said getting angrier.

"Because if she does let you go, I will tell the pack that she hates them and that she will kill us all if she lets you go. Why else?" All I could do was stare at him. How could he lie to his alpha and his pack? "Alpha," he said with scorn. "leave the cave now. Go tell the rest of the pack that Moon has admitted that the meeting was a trap."

"But she hasn't admitted to it." She said, and I thought I heard fear in her voice, but I didn't notice it since as soon as Night said this the male attacked her. Night cowered underneath the male. 

"Now there is two ways that this can go. One you will do as I say or two I kill you right here and blame it on Moon and I become alpha."I released a growl of resistance. Don't do this. I begged the thought to Night. She looked over at me sympathetically like she could hear my thought. Then looked back at the male full of fear. His gaze never leaving her he said "Well whats it going to be. Death or one little lie?"

"ONE LITTLE LIE!!!" I was surprised by all of the anger in her voice "You have been making me lie to my pack all of my life. And you know what, I'm done doing your dirty work, Claw." 

She howled the most fearful and meaningful howl I have ever heard. Many wolves came rushing in. They gasped at the sight they saw before them. Claw stumbled backwards in shock and fear. That was the first time I saw fear in his eyes. Night rose and started walking towards him glaring and fur on end. "Cut the other alpha loose." I heard a couple of gasps but two brown she-wolves came forward and cut the ropes around ankles loose. I jumped up and forward so fast that I was a blur of movement. 

I stood beside my new ally, and released a new type of growl that was full of hatred and protection. Night raised her head higher, and for the first time since I met her she looked like a true alpha. One that would protect her pack at all costs, even at the cost of her life. "By the power invested to me by our ancestor, I hereby banish you, Claw, for attacking your alpha, controlling your alpha, and many more felonies. If you are found on this territory again we are allowed to rip you apart and kill you."

"You will regret this! All of you I will get my revenge!" He howled as he raced out of the cave and through the gathered wolves. I heard some menacing growls as he raced by. I turned back to Night once he was out of sight. "White, Black, and Heather follow him and make sure he leaves, for good this time." 

"Yes Alpha." they all said at once. Once they were gone the rest on the wolves started to leave.  I turned back to Night.

"I know that was hard to do, because he was your deputy."

"Oh," she said turning to me sadness lit up her eyes, "he wasn't just my deputy. He was my mate and I'm carrying his pups."
