Sixteen
I'm so so sorry for the delay, things have been hectic for me the last few months and I was in the hospital at some point but I'm backish. I'm doing my best to work up the motivation to finish this story so bare with me, so many ideas for different stories and just little to no motivation.
Also 4 chapters left!!!!

Bella was a little nervous as she watched the scenery pass by from the passenger window. Her hand was enveloped by Nathaniel's. He brought it up to his lips and placed a cool peck on the back of her hand.
"It's not too late for me to turn around, we can go back to your place since your dads at work." He winked her way. She bit back a smile as she couldn't help but look at their entwined hands.
"No I'm okay. I'm looking forward to meeting your family...officially." He glanced at her with a grin on his face.
"It'll go great. Just remember what I said about Rosalie." Bella nodded in understanding.
"I'm not worried about it."
"Good." He kissed her hand again giving it a reassuring squeeze. He could feel her blood pulsating through her veins and the thrumming of her heart tempting his deepest desires.
It's been difficult to say the least. A part of him felt himself reeling back into her enticing scent. He was hoping being around Jasper won't set him off but aid him in keeping in control. Reminding him what it felt like. The smallest droplet of doubt will have Rosalie haling over him which he did not want. Rosalie already promised to kill him if he hurt Bella.
It's was kind of ironic how much Rosalie seemed to hate Bella and yet was protective of her at the same time. Though he should be more understanding given Rosalie's background which he was aware about, he just wasn't. And soon enough Nathaniel was pulling up closer to the house, as he veered off onto a dirt road. It's large exterior windows reflecting that of the trees and forest surrounding it.
"Wow."
"Wait until you see the inside." Nathaniel got out of the car and made his way to the passengers side to open the door for her. Muttering a 'thanks' Bella got out and looked at the home in front of her. It's large structure and large open windows were nearly intimidating.
As they ascended the stairs Nathaniel can overhear the fuss his adopted mother was making over making food for Bella. It was endearing of her to do this, his senses overfilled when he smelt the food being made and the comments Rosalie would make. He wasn't surprised Rosalie decided to stick around to put her opinion in. She loved to do that in Nathaniel's opinion.
"Here comes the human." Her voice quipped, instantly agitating Nathaniel's nerves.
"Bella I believe you remember my adopted has been sister Rosalie." A sardonic smile graced his lips as the blonde vampire glared daggers at him. If looks could kill he would be 6 feet under.
"Be nice to your sister. We decided this would be an excuse to use the kitchen for the first time." Carlisle explained as Esme moved around the counter to greet them.
"Bella this is my mother Esme for all intents and purposes."
"Bonjourno."
"Moltobene!"
"I believe you remember Carlisle." He smiled politely giving a small nod her way. "And I believe you know Emmett and Edward from school." Emmett grinned as he waved at her with the steak knife in hand. Edward walked over to greet them.
"It's a pleasure to meet you Bella." He held his hand out which she took and shook. She shivered slightly at the cool contact. She couldn't help but gawk at their beauty. They all looked like perfect marble statues with golden bronze colored eyes. She felt weary as she felt Rosalie's gaze on her.
"Bella!" Alice leapt from a tree branch back into the house from the window with Jasper in tow. Nathaniel felt his senses heighten as Jasper stayed mute, his eyes never leaving Bella. Instinctively he grabbed her hand causing Bella to wince which he didn't notice.
Edward tenses as he looks between his brother and Jasper. Alice who was seemingly oblivious to the tension waltz right over to Bella pulling her into a hug causing him to let go of her hand.
"Oh, you do smell good." She says as she pulls away.
"Alice-"
"Don't worry Nate, Bella and I are going to be great friends."
"I hope you're hungry." Esme commented.
"She already ate." In the instant the salad bowl Rosalie was holding shattered in pieces. She stepped up on the landing out of the glass.
"This, this is great."
"I-I know you guys don't eat so of course."
"That's very considerate of you."
"This can all end badly. Do you have any idea what would happen if our family is implemented for this?" Nathaniel sneered as he felt his body tense.
"Rosalie." Edwards warned.
"Badly as in, I become the meal." Nathaniel shook his head in distain.
"You really do pick your moments." Emmett was by Rosalies side in an instant, holding her back as she was ready to lunge at him.
"Nathaniel." He looked over at Edward who nodded.
"Bella why don't I show you around, come back later so you can eat."
"O-okay." Nathaniel led her away from the kitchen, his body fuming with anger that dissipated as soon as it started.
Nathaniel wouldn't know what he would do without Jasper, their unlikely friendship is a huge staple in his sanity because without Jasper he would be more unstable than he already was. Doubt crept inside him as he observed Bella take in her surroundings. They were ascending another set of stairs when the wall of graduation caps came to view.
"Are those graduation caps?" They were all aligned by their color scheme gradually changing from dark to lighter colors. He saw the look of amusement on her face which distracted him for a moment before answering.
"Yeah, they're kind of like an inside joke. They're my siblings."
"Didn't you go to school too?" Nathaniel shrugs.
"Yes but I don't feel the need to display the 5 caps I own, makes me look bad, but hey I'm smarter than I look." He winks causing Bella to roll her eyes.
"Well shall we." She says. Taking her hand he guided her up the rest of the stairs to the landing. His bedroom was down the hall at the end away from the others rooms.
Nathaniel's bedroom was of moderate size with large windows on the outer walls. Bella observed the dark furniture as well as the bed.
"I thought vampires don't sleep?"
"We don't." He says as he hops in propping his hands behind his head. "But it is cozy." Bella chuckles at his antics. She walked around the room taking everything in, from the array of books on his shelves to his music. She found mainly classics, poetry and thriller series.
"You have a lot of books and music. Not a fan of modern day songs?" Nathaniel shook his head.
"I appreciate rock and jazz music but nothing beats acoustic." He stated.
"Do you play?" He shrugs.
"That's more Edwards thing than mine. I know how to play different instruments but I just don't have the passion for it like my brother. However I do like to play once in awhile but I haven't played in over a decade."
"How come?" She sits on the end of the bed by Nathaniel's feet.
"Because that was different time." He sat up, cupped the back of her neck pulling her in for a kiss.
"Can you play for me?" Nathaniel felt a jolt of energy surge through him. His lips caressed hers again as theirs bodies began to intertwine. She was intoxicating as her hands traveled all down and back up to his chest. He was enamored by her and her innocence. How did he deserve something like this? The simplicity of just existing at the same time as this person? So ordinary yet consuming, it was all he can think about as he laid her down on the bed.
"I'll play you anything you want."

I'm sorry I didn't add more and tbh I know I'm basically just reiterating the storyline by replacing Edward. My view on this was me focusing on the struggles my Oc faces similar to how I was writing E.L. and I just wanted to see something a little, different and im not sure I really captured that. So im probably going to edit this story once it's finished when I have time. Thank you for even reading this, I appreciate you readers.
