We head out at about seven a clock. My auntie jade is staying behind with max. I wasn't supposed to come but I "convinced" them. We are walking through the woods. Me and my mum in wolf form and my uncle and dad In Human form. I "decide" that I hate walking so I  run around excitingly. Mum growls at me to 'get back over here or go home'. Adults....so serious. I join them and walk next to my uncle. Suddenly I smell a scent... Our scent. "Grrrr" I growl and they smell it too. We head right of the dead end and follow this "jacks" scent.

We follow the scent past the big boulders max and I used to play in when we were pups,through the creek and to the dam. Dad and my uncle change into wolfs and we split up, searching the area. My paws step through the partially dried-out dam towards the big green field,covered in bushes.

I sniff,the scent is a bit stronger here so I slow a bit and take my time. I slowly walk up the middle of the paddock. Searching every bush. I turn away from one bush and I suddenly see a figure standing. It wears a blue hoodie,pulled tightly over the good and that's when I know for sure that it's jack. I take a sniff just in case and my instincts was correct. He stands with his fists clenched tightly at either side of his body and his legs parted slightly.

I walk towards him,growling,a signal to the others to come. I get within about fifteen pacers of him when it happens,he changes into wolf form,growling as I do,he walks towards me and I snarl a warning,it looks as though I'm either older or I'm more experienced because he steps back a step. He turns his head to his right,looking at something.

I use this opportunity to burst towards him. I run right up to him and I growl. My mum and dad are suddenly at my side, mum changes into human form,along with dad. "Stop it! That's enough,now.... STOP!"  My mum says. I change after this so called 'jack changes. 'I wonder where my uncle is?' Suddenly my uncle jumps from behind the boy and grabs 'jack' by his shoulders.

"Your coming with us,son" says my uncle angrily as he drags this boy towards our home. "Your gonna have to do some explaining " my uncle continues as we make our way back towards our house.

Suddenly, as we are walking down the hill near our house I smell something. "Mum?" I say trying to give her a hint. The smell gets stronger as we near the house. I open the front door cautiously. I walk slowly to the kitchen door and push it open. "Huh?" I mumble. My auntie and max was supposed to be cooking soup. I walk over to the kitchen table. A soup spoon lays on the floor,next to a broken bowl,a few blobs of soup are all over the place.

I walk back out. "Mum?,come have a look at this" I yell. Mum and dad come in. They take a look at the scene that lays before us. "We've been all over the house,in the rooms,in the attack,hec!,we've even looked behind the house." Dad says.

"You smell that?" I say. 'Finally I know what it is,wild wolf heart' I think to my self. "Ok,your uncle Paul will stay in the kitchen with our new 'friend' while we search around the property ok?" My dad says. My uncle comes in holding 'jack' by the underarms,holding him above ground as he tries to escape. Mum draws the windows blinds and locks the door once we are out.

I change into wolf form yet again. I know we are not supposed to do this in the house but this may be an emergency. Then I think of the one place no one would of searched in, the storage room,we keep all of our old books and stuff in there. I run up the stairs and outside the storage door I whine and scratch at it,smelling something.

Mum comes up and opens the door with her key. I rush  in once there's enough room for me. My instincts lead me right to the back of the room,where a note lays. I can't read in wolf form so I pick it up in my mouth and take it to mum. She takes it,reads it and rushes out'a the room.

I race down the stairs after her and meat dad in the lounge room with her. "Ok, Maddie change back now,we need to talk." Mum says. I focus on my task and change back to human form. "Wh..what was on the paper?" I ask. "Maddie, please go out for a second" mum says. "But-" mum gently pushes me out of the room and closes the door.

'They seem to have forgot,I have... I suppose humans would call it... Supernatural hearing!' I pull my hair away from my ears and lean against the door and listen: "what?......but why...." "We have to tell her soon Paul" "yeah I know but.... Is she ready Sara ?" "I damn think she is,look max still has growing up to do but Maddie....not so much, I'm going to get her Paul,ok?" "*sigh* ok,I sure hope she's ready for this"  I pull away from the door and mum emerges.

"Come in Maddie,we have to talk to you about something" mum says. I nod and follow her in. Das stands in front of our coffee table. "Sit" dad orders and I do. "Look...don't hate us for this.....uh ok....where do I start...umm-" my dad starts but mum cuts him off. "Ok well...we have some shocking news.........its....its from our past and well... I guess you can say past may come back to haunt you...anyway I guess we'd better tell you before you burst of being nervous.....
