3-Smile

I transformed into a huge bear and roared with great fierceness. Seeing my friend get hurt by her shitty attitude had pissed me off. Ajax wanted to take off his hat to petrify me but I gave him a soft but direct swipe that threw him aside. Then I turned to see the rest, scared by my appearance and let out a roar that made them run.

"Do you want to keep fighting?" I asked in a gravelly voice.—Damn you—Ajax soon followed them.

The people around me turned to see me, the children scared and crying. Enid was fine, she stood up and when I saw what she had done, losing her mind, I went out into one of the alleys. I returned to my human state. Luckily I always had clothes in my backpack and I was able to get dressed and not have to go naked.

"Yo?" I heard from the entrance to the alley."Enid...I'm sorry you had to see that, I didn't want to hit her, I just—she hugged me."Okay, don't worry about it.

When they separated, she wanted to go to the movies and I refused because people would look at us, but she insisted so much that I had to agree. There some people recognized me and moved away scared, others commented under their breath saying that I was a monster. Until now, he'd lived far enough away from the normies that he didn't have to put up with their comments. But now I felt that it affected me much more than necessary. She paid for some popcorn and a drink in compensation, despite telling him that she was not doing anything wrong. The movie we chose was a comedy, she was glad she chose that one because she needed to disconnect. The room completely enjoyed it and the laughter was not lacking. Seeing her laugh at her made me feel happy. At the end, there was no lack of comments about the movie.

"The best scene was when she slipped and then..." she was commenting on every moment of the movie that she found funny. At the exit, Wednesday was waiting.

"I was waiting for you to return to the academy," she commented.

We started the way back since she wanted us to walk. It was about a 25 minute walk and Enid, as happy as ever, told him about the movie.

"I see you've had a good time," she said, "any incident?"Well..." I told him about what happened.—You did well, if I were you I would tear off his head with a claw.

I glanced at Enid who was downcast from remembering the moment. So I went back to talking about the movie and immediately the mood grew.Upon arrival, it didn't take us long to run into the director. In her office, I had to explain the incident and she, even though she understood that she was in self-defense, asked me not to use my transformation.

—I fully understand your situation, but...we've spent years trying to get rid of stereotypes. And that doesn't help you.I understand, I'm so sorry for what happened.—I will have to punish him for a week without being able to go to Jericho, at least until everything has calmed down.

I nodded and left the office. It was just punishment for beating up and then terrorizing movie theater staff and families.Enid was waiting outside with Wednesday. When I told them everything, I could see the sadness in the eyes of the blonde who apologized and gave me a hug.

—Hey, it's not a big deal, it's just temporary, until the normies have forgotten about the incident—I said between laughs—don't worry, okay?

I thought I saw my goth partner smile though I couldn't tell for sure. After parting ways, we went to the bedrooms where I dropped into my comfortable bed to sleep and have some peace. I liked Ajax but his behavior was beginning to tire me. She didn't know if he would be able to put up with so much nonsense. The next day he was already leaving when I saw Enid bring me some breakfast.

"In compensation for yesterday," she said, "here."—I already told you that you shouldn't—today she was very colorful and the smell... that smell again."Do you put on berry perfume?"—Yes, I liked how it smelled and on top of that it's fresh and colorful—she showed me a photo of the cologne and the bottle was pink with a rainbow sticker."Well, it smells really good," I said nervously.-Oh really?-Yeah. I love the smell of fruits and berries..." I had to take a breath.-Are you OK?—Yeah, maybe it's because I'm half bear that I like your cologne hehe.

She outlined a smile. We stared at each other for a few seconds before a stupid smile spread across my face. She put her arms around me, looking at me, she had beautiful eyes. When we suddenly heard footsteps, the girl with black hair and braids introduced herself.

"Are you done with your corniness? Let's get going," she said coldly.

We both split up and ate on the way to class. That day Ajax was not in class, something that seemed very strange to us. When we asked the teacher, he told us that he had been expelled because after the incident with me, to get it off his chest he created other problems in the town.

"I never thought it could end like this," I said as we left class.

Enid didn't say anything and went to her room. Wednesday she looked at me but didn't say anything.

"I'm going to write," she said after being silent for a while.-Okay.

After being with Xavier looking at her drawings and talking about it, I said goodbye and remembering what happened with the boy, I went to their bedroom. It was already late, night had fallen but there was still time.

"Hello" I greeted entering."Isn't Enid here?" I asked.—She is there—Wednesday she answered without looking at me.

She was lying on the bed but in the meantime she couldn't see her.

"Hello," she said discouraged and looking at the phone.-You want to talk?"No, I don't feel like it."

I gently took the phone from her and made her look at me, her eyes were red from crying.

"It's all over now" I said with a smile trying to cheer her up.

The young woman was unable to utter a word so she hugged her. We stayed like that for a while while she cried. Again her fruity smell filled her nostrils and I caressed her hair, I wanted to comfort her.We parted ways after a while and she went to the bathroom to clean her face. When she returned, she was much better.

"Thank you for cheering me up," he said, sitting next to me and resting his head."You don't have to give them away." She hadn't done much either.

I stared at her for a few seconds, a tingling ran through my body and I began to sweat a little nervously while she scratched her arm. I looked at her and a smile spread across my face, like a little child. She told me to go to the balcony because she needed to get some fresh air. She leaned against the railing looking up at the starry night. You could see the sadness on her face.

"I'm sorry to bring you into my life like this," he said apologetically."Do you want to stop apologizing? We're friends, right?" She lowered her head.

I didn't want him to fall into that state again."Look at me," I said. she turned.

"Don't think about it anymore now, it's time to move on" she remained silent.

I got a little closer, the night was already cold so I hugged her a little. She was still shedding a few tears down her face.

"Everything's fine, okay?" She nodded.

We stared at each other for a few moments, grinning like idiots.

—Enid... —something inside me prompted me to do something that I thought would not seem right to her.

I shortened the distance between us and kissed her. It was a warm kiss, short and tender. I pulled away after a few seconds and she looked surprised.

"I'm sorry...I...I..." I quickly left there by leaps and bounds.

That night I was awake, unable to sleep and looking at my phone in case he wrote to me.

"I just screwed up but okay..." She had her hand on my face, my head in a mess.

She had a hard time getting up because she was very sleepy. I followed the usual routine even though she had dark circles under her eyes and yawned from having slept little. On my way out, I ran into both of them waiting for me. It was when I remembered what happened.

"It's time to go have breakfast," the young woman said coldly.-Yes of course.

Enid just waved. All the way Enid and I looked at each other only to end up turning our faces away.Breakfast was quiet, quiet, something Wednesday seemed to enjoy.

"I'm going to talk to Xavier, I'm coming now," she said, getting up.

When the two of us were left, she sat down next to me and looked at me.

"Last night..." I started."It was wrong" I closed my eyes, I already knew."I'm sorry, I know I shouldn't have kissed you...—No, what was wrong was not that"So?" I asked surprised.

She gave me a small kiss on the lips, she was speechless.

"Leaving like that, leaving me alone," she pouted.

My heart gave a strong lurch of joy.

"I'm sorry" I kissed him as an apology."Okay, I accept, as long as...we go on a date" I nodded happily.

Wednesday interrupted our chat.

—Have you already settled your affairs as a couple? Because I find them emetic"That's right, I'm sorry I asked you for help.""Wait... you..." Enid smiled, "I see."

One of the most surprising things about her was her changing personality and her positivity. That day the classes were much more entertaining and the time passed much faster. Enid and I were chatting happily like little children. The bad thing was that he was grounded for a week, so the date would have to wait. But Enid came to my bedroom and the first thing she did was make us sit on a bed and kiss. Her claws almost scratch me, making me blush, we'd have to be careful.Movies, laughter, popcorn and kisses. This is how we spent the first afternoon as a couple.

To be continue...
