Rhydian's POV
Rhydian Morris sprinted through the forest with Maddy Smith trailing behind him and Alric Vaughn chasing after them. They had been walking to school when the guy started chasing them. He was more after Rhydian than anything and Rhydian knew that Alric wouldn't stop until he got what he wanted.

Maddy and Rhydian ran as fast as a wolfblood could go, using every sense they had to try and shake him. They weaved in and out of trees to confuse Alric who was most likely using his sense of smell to find them.

When they finally did shake him, they stopped for a breather and Rhydian chose that moment to use Eolas. He knelt down and placed his hand on the damp earth, letting nature take over.

Rhydian saw Alric turning in circles trying to figure out which way they went. Rhydian shook his head and stood from his knelt position.

"He's confused but not for long." Rhydian told Maddy. "Isn't there a river close to your house?"

Maddy nodded. "Yeah."

"Good. We can cross through the river. It'll mask our scent long enough to get to your house... I hope."

Rhydian and Maddy began to jog but when they heard a howl, they glanced at each other and took off running. Maddy split off saying,

"We'll meet at the river."

Rhydian nodded once and continued running. He dodged hanging tree branches, jumped over logs and ran as fast as he could the wind hitting his face. He wasn't using eolas anymore but he still felt like he was one with nature.

He heard rushing water and knew that he was closing in on the river. He also heard Maddy...or more like smelled her. She gave off a certain smell and that was how Rhydian could tell that it was her.

Rhydian and Maddy met and jumped into the river. They climbed out and started running again, trying to put as much distance between them and the river as possible before Alric got there.

Rhydian sprinted all the way to school drying off on the way there. When Maddy and Rhydian got there class was already starting and Jeffries was about to have a fit because they were late.

"Oi look! It's dumpster boy and his girlfriend!" Jimi said making the whole class laugh.

Rhydian ignored them and took his seat behind Tom and Shannon, Maddy sitting beside him. Tom and Shannon turned to face them.

"Why are you guys late?"

"We ran into Alric. He chased us on the way to school." Rhydian explained.

"Dude seriously?!" Tom hissed quietly. "Is he gonna come here or-"

Maddy shook her head. "There's no telling what he'll do. Alric lost his pack, his daughter, his mind...he's got nothing left to lose."

The bell rang and everyone emptied out into the hallway. Rhydian, Shannon, Tom and Maddy walked out last and Rhydian watched as Jimi dropped his phone. Rhydian laughed and he caught the scent of Alric. He turned and saw him, holding Jeffries up by his shirt. Alric saw him and Maddy at the same time Rhydian saw him.

"Rhydian!"

Rhydian spun around and sprinted down the hallway, Jimi and Liam watching curiously. Rhydian shoved past Jimi into the stairwell saying,

"Outta the way!"

"I'm gonna kill ya Rhydian! For everything you've done!" Alric shouted behind him.

"You have to catch me first!" Rhydian yelled over his shoulder and ran up the stairs. Halfway up it occurred to him why he was running up, when he needed to be running down. Knowing it was too late to turn back he burst into the corridor and ran into a classroom.

As he was trying to lock the door Alric burst in, knocking the door back and sending him stumbling back. Rhydian backed away from him as he stalked towards him. Alric grabbed the front of Rhydian's jacket and said,

"I caught ya alright."

And then Rhydian was flying out the window. Literally. Rhydian fell two stories and landed hard on his back on the ground. He heard gasps and climbed to his feet. The Kays and half of the school were standing there watching him.

"Stand there and watch, yeah!" Rhydian exclaimed. He looked up at the window he was thrown out of. Alric was standing there looking out at him.

Rhydian backed away and took off running as Alric jumped out of the window and started chasing him across the soccer field. He ran as fast as he could to the river and stumbled across, running for Maddy's house.

When he got there he banged on the door. "Mrs. Smith open the door! It's Rhydian!"

The door swung open and Rhydian rushed in slamming the door and locking it. Rhydian sighed in relief and set his back against the door.

"Rhydian dear Lord." Emma Smith said. "You're lucky Maddy got here when she did and told us what happened."

Daniel Smith, Maddy's dad walked in with Maddy. "You're safe here Rhydian. We locked all the doors and windows. There's no way he's getting in here."

Rhydian nodded and smiled at him. "Thank you Mr. and Mrs. Smith."

They smiled back. "Anytime you need our help, just ask."

Rhydian glanced out the window and flinched when he saw Alric standing there watching him. He stepped back, bumping into a chair and Daniel walked over to him, placing a hand on his shoulder.

"Dont worry. It's shatterproof glass."

Rhydian nodded, not saying a word as he watched Alric outside the window. "He knows that eventually I have to come out."

"And we'll be ready for him when you do." Maddy said supportively.

Rhydian didn't say anything. But he knew one thing for sure...Alric was going to get in the house.

Rhydian was awoken by the pressure of someone's hand over his mouth. He snapped his eyes open and looked up. Rhydian knew who it was before he saw him. Alric had his hand over Rhydian's mouth and nose with a cloth that smelled of chloroform.

Rhydian fought to get him off of him but Alric was bigger and stronger. He found himself getting weaker and tired by the moment. He was so so tired. When Rhydian stopped moving Alric let his guard down. And Rhydian used that against him. He shoved him to the floor and jumped over the couch to get away from him.

"Maddy! Maddy! Help!"

Rhydian was grabbed by his ankle and he kicked out at Alric but he pulled him to the floor and climbed on top of him. Alric held a knife in his hand and Rhydian yelped when he sank the knife into his lower abdomen.

"Rhydian?!" Emma and Maddy yelled.

Rhydian and his wolf whimpered in pain and Daniel rushed over, hitting Alric over the head with a bat. Emma and Maddy rushed over and helped Rhydian to his feet while Daniel faced off against Alric.

"How did he get in?!" Emma exclaimed.

Blood seeped through Rhydian's fingers as he tried his best to stop the bleeding. He was beginning to feel lightheaded and he knew he was losing a lot of blood. Rhydian swayed on his feet and Maddy noticed.

"Mom, Rhydian needs help!"

Emma looked at Rhydian and snatched her keys off the counter and ran out to the car. Maddy began helping Rhydian to the door and outside. Once they were outside there was a loud roar and a crash and Alric came sprinting out. He tackled Rhydian and Maddy to the ground, causing Rhydian to cry out in pain.

Rhydian lay on his back, his breathing becoming labored and the pain eating away at every rational thought in his brain. He felt lightheaded and so tired.

"Stop what you're doing! He's just a boy!" Emma shouted.

"Yeah a boy that took me daughter away from me and got me kicked out of my pack!" Alric shouted back.

"He's a child and you stabbed him! He's dying and he needs help!"

Through the pain Rhydian heard and smelled Jimi and Liam. He listened to what they were saying.

"Liam we have to help him! You heard her, he's dying."

"You're right but what are we going to do to help?"

Rhydian coughed up blood and Alric smirked down at him. He dug his fingers into the wound and Rhydian screamed or howled in pain-he wasn't sure.

"Hurts doesn't it? Imagine how I felt when you took everything from me." Alric said.

"I know...and I'm sorry." Rhydian whispered.

"We gotta call the police." Jimi said.

Rhydian cried out again when Alric dug his fingers farther into the wound, twisting and turning. The pain became intensified when he felt sharp piercing pain inside his body.

Rhydian screamed in agonizing pain. "Make it stop! Please! I'm sorry if you think Jana left because of me!"

Alric twisted his fingers more. "What?"

"I'm sorry I took Jana away from you! Please just...just stop." Rhydian begged.

Daniel ran out of the house then, full blown wolfblood mode and Rhydian was left lying on the cold damp ground, bleeding out and in pain. Daniel lunged at Alric and they began to fight. Jimi and Liam burst out of the bushes hearing the sound of sirens in the distance.

"What are you idiots doing here!?" Maddy yelled at them.

"After what happened at school we followed Rhydian back here and we saw everything! We call an ambulance." Jimi exclaimed.

"Maddy." Rhydian said. "Maddy, I'm so sorry."

"Sorry about what?"

"Sorry that I...that I didn't tell you I l-" Rhydian coughed up more blood and passed out.

A/N: This is the longest chapter I have ever done in a long time. I love Wolfblood a lot so this is gonna be great. I'm gonna have some changes and things that I think should've happened but didn't.
