Revealed Secrets

(I made a few changes to Chapter Nine, go read them before you read this)

"Oh $&%!" I thought I heard Sage mumble. You don't wanna know what that was. "Of all the times those &$!%#*@ scientists coulda chose to come, it had to be in the middle of exams..." she grumbled as she struggled to sit up. "Are you sure that it was the real dream, or was it just your imagination?" she asked me.

"I don't think my imagination could conjure such a vivid dream while I'm unconscious," I replied nervously.

"Fan freaking tastic," Sage moaned. She stood up and stretched before commanding, "I'll go let Mom and Dad know, you go wake up Cedar and try to not get a bloody nose," she joked.

I ran across the hall into the landfill known as Cedar's Room. He lay on his bed, unconsciously imitating a train. I swear, that boy's snores could be heard from Massachusetts!

I noticed a stray hockey stick propped up against his nightstand, and an idea popped into my mind. I grabbed it and scooted back as far as I could while the stick could still reach Cedar and started poking him.

Cedar came up punching and kicking at the air, pausing for a moment when he realized I was in the corner of his room giggling. "What the heck, Juni!" Cedar yelled as he threw his pillow at me.

I threw the hockey stick aside and explained to him, "Pullman sent a dream. We don't know when, but they're gonna come back for us soon," I said in a grave voice.

"Didn't the government peoples arrest those sickos?" Cedar whimpered in a scared puny voice. "Mommy told me we were safe here," he whispered.

I lightly treaded over to his bed where I sat down and put an arm around him. "We didn't tell you everything before," I whispered to Cedar. "We didn't want to scare you," I gently began to rub his back when he turned to face me.

"What's really going on here?" Cedar asked me. "What secrets are you keeping from me?" he pleaded.

I sighed and turned to face the wall. "If you really want to know the answer to that question," I replied, "you'd better get comfortable there. It starts a long time ago..."

Sorry it's been so long since I updated and sorry this chapter is so short, I've just had a lot going on lately. I've been tempted to throw my iPod at the ground a few times (possibly cuz of flappy bird) and I haven't used it much, and I can't use the computer to write for very complicated reasons, so yeah. I'll update pretty soon, have a weekend coming up where I'll be able to write some more soon so don't fret little ones! I don't have access to the magic button that let's people dedicate chapters, so I'm gonna put it here for now.
