I Don't Really Have a Title for This

"You see Cedar," I explained, "back while we were still in the science lab, the scientists did something to my head. They could send me dreams. Let's see, do you still remember Davenport?" I asked.

"He was that guy with the white hair, right?" Cedar said.

"That's right," I replied. "You see, some of the scientists ran away before the government caught them. Dave went with them to, how should I put this, pretty much babysit them. He always had a soft spot for us and wanted to make sure they left us alone.

"Right before he followed the others, he stopped by my cage and whispered, 'You'll be safe where you're going, but Slen won't give up on you. If he does try to get you again, I'll let you know. Be brave, Juni.'

"From what we've figured, he has access to the dreams the scientists can send me. He's sent me this dream before, right before Slen and his posse attacked once we'd gotten settled in here. We drove them out easily since they were still weak from evacuating, but now they've had time to regroup. We've always known this day would come eventually." I sighed, looking out the window across the room.

"Wow," Cedar sighed. "That is... just wow," he muttered as he flopped back on his bed. "As grateful as I am that you finally told me all of that, I have a feeling that you left something out," he said.

I moaned and rubbed my temples. This was not something I was in the mood to talk about. "Cedar, I know that you know that you're ready to know, but I know that talking about him would make me have a serious meltdown and I know you don't want to see your older sister on a screaming rampage punching random trees and screaming 'FOR NARNIA!', especially at a time like this," I chuckled.

Cedar sat up and looked at me with a sideways glance. "Have you actually done that before?" he questioned.

"One time... If you're really curious I think Sage still has that recording that I told her to delete," I pondered.

"As tempting as that sounds, we're probably about to be attacked by rabid scientists," Cedar reminded me. "When we get done kicking their butts maybe I'll look into it," he said.

"Good idea," I laughed. "Let's go see what the 'rents and Sage are talking about," I commanded as I marched out of the room.

"Hey Juni?" Cedar called after me.

"WHAT?" I exclaimed as I spun around.

"What are 'the 'rents'?" he asked.

"For Larry's sakes, it's an abbreviation for parents," I explained.

"Hey Juni?"

"WHAT!" I yelled exasperated.

"Who is Larry?"

"I'm not a pickle, I'm a cucumber." I replied. With that I turned around and continued towards my parents' room.

"Ohhhh," I heard Cedar say in the distance. Really? I thought as I shook my head.

"Okay," Dad said as we all got seated around the table. "Family meeting time. We are all aware of the potential threat opposing us, and we must be on edge," he said. "I have alerted the authorities, the same people who took care of the sickos in the first place. They will be here soon, but we don't know what could happen in the mean time," he added. Mom let out a loud yawn and received a glare from Dad.

"What?" she asked. "Its still 4 a.m. and I'm a little tired," she explained. We all just stayed there staring at her. "Oh come on, let's just get on with it," she ordered. Sage shifted a little bit and raised her hand.

"Yes Sage?" Dad said.

She opened her mouth and was about to answer when huge gorilla-looking creatures burst through the door and windows. Great, I thought, just great.

Dun dun DUN! I always like to leave off at cliffhangers. >:) Don't worry though the next chapter is already under construction and will probably be released really late tonight or sometime tomorrow morning.

So I'm getting to a point now where I think I can do this: a name competition! There will be one girl and two new boys added at some point hopefully pretty soon, and they need names. One boy and one girl are going to be bird hybrids and the other boy is also wolf, so if that helps. I'm going to continue the story no matter how many votes I get cause I have back-up names for each character, but I want your ideas! Leave 'em in the comments or pm me, whichever you please.
