Chapter 33 || Plan

Isaac POV*

"No, no way- that's totally out of the question." He shook his head aggressively. "Why not- there is no reason for him to be in there- we have to help him," I begged again. Lukas stared at me, not sure what to do. "We're not helping him escape. It's too dangerous." Aubrey stared at us from across the room, completely silent. I looked at her for help. She shrugged, not sure herself.

I sighed defeated. "Even if we did manage to get him out without dying ourselves, do you realize those hunters will stop at nothing to get all three of us?" He turned around. I kept looking away. "I know that- it's just. Maybe he can help." I argued.

"What do you mean? Help?" Aubrey joined in now as she pushed herself off the wall and walked up to us. "Well, you know the poison?" I started. They both nodded. "Well, I have a feeling he might know how to make an antidote."

They looked at each other before looking back at me. "And what would make you think that?" Aubrey asked seriously. I turned away. "Details are not important..." I said quietly. I don't want them to know just yet how I know him just yet.

"It's worth a shot," Aubrey said after a moment of silence. "What? No!" Lukas argued. "If he does have the antidote we wouldn't have to be afraid of those hunters anymore- we could beat them." She said confidently. "We could show people were not dangerous- we might be able to live normally again." She continued,  emotion filling her voice.

Lukas looked down, thinking it all over. "I still think it's a bad idea...." he sighed. "But sure, let's try." He said as he turned back to us. I silently celebrated as I jumped in for a hug. Lukas took a small step back, surprised by my sudden action as he reluctantly hugged me back. "Thank you." I smiled as I pulled away. "N-no problem." He blushed.

I turned around, noticing Aubrey staring g at us suspiciously. I cleared my throat. "So what are we going to do?" I asked, breaking the awkward silence.

"We're gonna need a good plan if we want to get him out so-" Aubrey thought about it. We all did. This was going to be quite the breakout. "First we'll have to find a way to distract the guards. We can't get in there if someone is waiting outside." She explained.

I thought about it. "Well I know a way I can get in, but I don't know how to lure away the guard," I said back. "We could always tell we found something-" Lukas struggled, it was obvious he still wasn't completely on board with the plan.

"Maybe I can start a fight somewhere!" Aubrey smiled. "And then what?" Lukas said back. "Then you tell the guard to come help. We both looked at her. "That could work," I said. "You just want to fight someone, don't you?" Lukas said to Aubrey. "Don't I always?" She smirked.

"Well, that's one part down. Now we just have to figure out how to get him out." Aubrey continued. "Leave that part to me," I said. They looked at me expectedly.  "Don't worry, I have an idea."

I'm sure Marc would be strong enough to break the bars if he hasn't done so yet. And if not, I might be. I still leave superstrength myself after all.

"Alright fine. You go in and free him." Lukas said eventually. We all stood there in silence. "Well, what are we gonna do with him after that?" He added.

He's not gonna like this. "Well, I was thinking of bringing him here," I said nervously. He looked at me in disbelief. "Seriously?" He asked. "That's-" he started but Aubrey interrupted him.

"That's fine." She said. "What no it's not, this will be the first place they'll search-" Lukas argued.

"But where else would we go?" I asked. "Don't ask me. You're the one who wants to free him, you should find a place to hide him after.." he argued back. He had a point, but it's not like I can hide him at my place. I sat down on the couch defeated, maybe all of this was a bad idea.

"Lukas, I'm sure it'll be fine," Aubrey tried as she was on my side at this point. "We can defend ourselves..." she tried.

"Did you forget they have actual poison this time? Last time you got away, but next time might be different. I don't think it's a good idea to try and free a werewolf and then bring him to the only other two werewolves out here. If they do track him here, we'll all be caught." He yelled, frustrated. But I could hear in his voice that he was also scared.

"Right, I'm sorry- ill just have to think of somewhere else.." I said quietly. Lukas sighed as he sat down next to me. "I didn't mean-" he started but I stopped him. "I know what you meant, and I get it. It was a stupid idea, ill think of something better." I said, forcing a smile.

We sat in awkward silence for a bit as I thought about it. I felt the air get heavier with each second. Aubrey stood at the door, just staring at us. "Hey uhm..-" she said. "Isn't there another like- I don't know- abandoned building on the other side of your village." She suggested.

I looked up. "You mean the church?" I asked. She nodded. That could work. "Well yeah, there is..." I said back. "Why not hide him there... why don't we all hide there." She suggested.

"A church," Lukas said. "Well yeah- what's the problem, I've seen it a few times when I was searching for you- it seemed fine." Aubrey shrugged.

"That church was abandoned years ago when they build a bogger one in town," I explained. "There was nothing wrong with it except it was too small."

"Well then. The plan is perfect." Aubrey pushed herself off the wall. "Well almost-" Lukas tried. Ut she wasn't listening. "You two can figure out the details, I'm going out for a bit- I need some fresh air." She sighed as she walked towards the door. "I'll be back later." She smiled before going outside, leaving us alone again.

It quickly got awkward again, as the two of us sat on the couch, unsure what to do. Figure out the details? What was that even supposed to mean, it's not like we're going tomorrow morning, surely we had time to do that together.

I took a deep breath, trying to push away the nerves that seemed to have come out of nowhere.

"So now what?" Lukas finally interrupted the silence. He turned in his seat, leaning towards me. "I- I don't know.." I shrugged. He got quiet again as he stared at me.

I felt his eyes burn on my skin as I felt my face heat up. He laughed silently before speaking again. "So... about, last time." He started. "L-last time?" I asked, pretending not to know what was going on.

"Well you know- about..." he cleared his throat. "When you found out." He finished. I turned to look at him, my face bright red.

"What about it," I asked. I was starting to feel scared now, what if he was going to take back what he said. "Well, you said you liked me." I could see he was getting nervous himself.

"And you said you liked me..." I laughed. "Yeah- I did-" he said, laughing slightly. It got quiet again as I stared at my lap.

"Do you- regret it?" I asked, not making eye contact. "What? No-  of course not." He defended. "I meant what I said." He grabbed my face, forcing me to look at him.

"I just wanted to make it official." He smirked as he looked at me. I smiled, looking back. "Really?" I asked. He nodded. I let out a small laugh as I looked away slightly. Feeling a bit stupid for assuming the worst as usual.

I looked back at him, it got quiet again as our eyes locked, and soon we were inching together. I felt my heart beat faster as our lips touched, soon melting into a kiss.

It was just like last time, but this time it felt less rushed. I could feel melted into it as I went on. His hands remained on my face. I could get used to this.

Suddenly, I felt him twitch before he moved away. I stared at him as he sat up, letting go of my face. I was sure my face must've been bright red by now.

He smiled at me as he looked away. His smiled dropped when he looked towards the window. "I think you should go home." He smiled. "Do I have to?" I sighed as I leaned again the couch.

His face tunred serious. "Its better if you did." He said as he looked me I the eyes. What? What's happening. Did I do something wrong? I was about to ask him when Aubrey ran back in.

"Alright. Its time-" she stopped when she saw me. "What is he still doing here?" She stared at the awkward sight of us. I don't know when it exactly happened but I had apparently moved quite a bit closer to Lukas as I was almost on his lap. Feeling embarrassed I shifted back.

"He was about to go home." Lukas said silently. I looked form Lukas to Aubrey and back. "What going on? Why can't I stay?" I asked, started to get nervous.

Lukas looked up towards Aubrey. She looked at me, defeated. "Well, tonight's a full moon."
