"WHAT?"

Taehyung's arms around Jay's neck tightened. Did he just hear him right? Human-wolves? What on earth are those?

"You're scrunching your brows too much Taehyung. It looks like you're gonna pass out the second time." Jay felt utterly amused by the brown head's expressions.

"W-what do you mean by h-human wolves?"

"It means that we are half-humans and half werewolves."

"Are you fucking kidding me? You think I'm a child to believe in your fantasy?"

"Do you think I'm joking?" Jay stopped his footsteps, glared at the soft hazel eyes in his arms. He can be tolerating Taehyung for all he wanted but he is not the one to ignore comments demeaning their kind. His dark orbs flashed again in a deep maroon, making his entire pupil turn black.

"Y-your eyes..." Tae was shivering with the horrifying appearance in front of him. He is not accustomed to watching the shift of eye colours from one to another like changing outfits. He finds it amusing and scary at the same time.

"What about my eyes?" Jay growled.

"It changed. To black."

"Hmm, now don't even tempt me to get angry or anything coz the next thing you know, I might get triggered and change into my wolf form Taehyung. Be very careful with your words yea?" chuckled the man who continued to walk, feeling the boy in his hold tremble further.

Is he good or bad? What the hell did you do Taehyung?

The brown head cursed at himself mentally, starting to get uncomfortable with Jay's bipolar mood and unpromising character.

"So, as I was saying. We are half human and half wolf, we can transform ourselves into werewolves whenever we want to. After centuries of existence, we have accustomed to stay as human unless there is a need for an uproar. The last time it happened was during the dark days - about 50 years ago."

"Dark days?" Taehyung asked with his head looking forward, not dare to lift it to watch Jay's sickening expression. He needed some time to cool down.

"My bad, I'm getting way too ahead of my story here little one. Well to start it all off, we serve the deity who we refer to as Moon Goddess, she is the one who created this community and has been the one we obey. Of coz, with every good thing, there is a bad thing as well. When Moon Goddess created a special creation called the Guardians and planted an ace healer to be a healing element for us all, it created a very displeased opinion on wolves from the Crusader pack.

"Hence the dark days happened in which the dark war was the only war in human-wolf history which took many lives and eventually killed the only ace healer ever born after centuries." continued Jay with a stunned brown head boy in his arms.

"Wow...it feels like a fantasy fiction." Taehyung gasped. Why do all these didn't freak him out even the slightest? It provided more comfort for him as he swallowed the truth.

"I can see you're very amused about what I'm revealing. Are you not afraid or shaken by the info?"

"Nope. I'm glad I get to know the truth after being oblivious for such a long time. Can you please continue?" Taehyung can't wait to get to the part where he finds out about his contribution to the whole story.

"Ok. As I said, we live in a community of human-wolves. There are many packs across the world, across the territory. Shadow Pack for example is one of the strongest and most prominent pack in the human-wolf community within this territory."

"Are they like royals in the wolf world?" asked Tae with his innocent and curious voice.

"Tsk, I will never admit them as the royals. Stuck ups maybe yes? But not the royals. The Jeons, in particular, have been governing the head alpha of pack community position for centuries, giving them the upper hand in final decision making within the packs."

"So Mr Jeon is not only the president of Shadow College but he is also the head alpha?"

"Was. He was the head alpha. It was given to Jungkook as soon as he turned 21. So yea, your mate is the current head alpha of the strongest pack in town and the leader within the packs in this territory. Congrats." Jay snickered with a mocking tone, finding it bitter to admit Tae and Jungkook's relationship as destined mates.

"Why do you guys keep referring me as Jungkook's mate? What does that mean?"

"You are indeed the curious little one. Well, mates are what Moon Goddess will classify as soulmates. Not all wolves are lucky to have their mates predestined before they were born. Only some alphas get the luxury of it while true blood alphas always get a mate according to their status to boost up their existing power."

Taehyung's eyes widened. He was now staring at Jay while the blond male continued to walk, almost running with Tae securely positioned in his arms. Tae couldn't believe how powerful Jungkook must be despite being the youngest in their group. It makes a lot of sense why the rest of them obey Jungkook like he is their king.

The brown head also found out further from Jay about the rankings in human-wolfs and how omegas can be both males and female although males are pretty rare. He also explained the eye colours and what they mean to change from one shade to another. Taehyung is also now familiar with mate bonds and how two souls will be abided in one post mating. Jay however, conveniently left out the info that loosing a mate will mean death to the one surviving. He didn't want Taehyung to ever think that Jungkook is truly in love with him, unconditionally.

What stuck like a sore thumb for Taehyung was about his very own brother - Yoongi. How can he have not noticed his brother is not a full human? Does that mean Taehyung is a human-wolf as well? He couldn't wait to find that piece of information out.

"I was waiting for you to bombard me about your brother."

"C-can you tell me more? Am I even a human? But I don't feel like anything else."

Jay sighed as he slowed down, knowing instantly that they are only 5 minutes away from the little hut which he was supposed to bring Taehyung to. He can sense no other wolf's presence as he was sure Jungkook will not be able to trace them as Taehyung was secured in his arms, where his mint scent would have confused the true blood.

"You are a human Taehyung. Fully human. Yoongi - your brother, on the other hand, is not. He is an alpha wolf. One of the strongest after the true blood breed. He was raised and governed by an elder wolf after your mom died. So to answer your question, you are the only human in your family root taking after your grandfather who is also an ace healer."

The brown head's eyes quivered in tears. Oh, how he misses having a family to even begin with? Hearing about the true origin of his bloodline excited the brown head but at the same time saddened him for the unfortunate fate which engulfed his life.

Taehyung wasn't expecting his mother to be one of the important pack members of Guardian who married into the Jeon Pack and to have his very own grandpa as the first ace healer ever.

"Does that mean I'm the second ace healer in the entire human-wolf history?"

Jay nodded at this, he was slowly covering the distance to the hut and sharpened his senses to identify any potential danger. To his joyful content, he spotted none.

"Yes Taehyung. And you're a very special gift to us. It's a shame the Moon Goddes will destine you with Jeon Jungkook, a true blood alpha who knows nothing but to manipulate you for his pack's benefit. Not to mention, he even managed to brainwash Yoongi to support him. Or else why do you think your brother is hiding the truth from you?"

The blond male spoke with bitterness and lies. He was shamelessly framing Taehyung to go against everybody he knows. One loophole which favoured Jay the most was that the Shadow Pack members and Yoongi were dumb enough to hide the truth from Taehyung from the minute the ace healer moved closer to Jungkook.

In the end, it's the victory for the blond male as he got his opportunity right on time to swipe Taehyung off his feet.

"I can't believe Jungkook will do that. He said...he said he loves me."

"Pft, come on Taehyung, do you think for a man to lie can be that difficult after he hides the entire truth about your origin and manipulated your brother?"

Taehyung didn't like the bitter feeling in his mouth when he speaks the next word but he knows that he is hurt after finding out the reality of his life and the others being hidden away.

"I can't believe he stooped so low to do that. What would he even gain from doing all these?"

The tears which contained itself started to pour like a waterfall from the brown head's hazel eyes. He started to cry out loud and sniffled loudly exhibiting how hurt he was. Jay, on the other hand, couldn't hide his smirk as he finally stepped into the hut which he awaited to execute his next plan.

"I know Tae. I know. Calm down alright, at least I'm here for you. I will never lie to you like Jeon or his minions. We will together bring Yoongi over here and show them who they messed up with. Alright?"

Jay's tenderness comforted the trembling brown head. Taehyung didn't notice the venom dripping from the blond head's words but he believed Jay wholeheartedly for the male chose to be honest with him when everyone else denied the truth.

"T-thanks." Taehyung sniffled onto Jay's muscular chest, fist holding tight onto his shirt while Jay's greedy arms found it's way to Tae's tiny waist.

"Anytime babe."

The blond even planted a soft kiss on Tae's soft brown hair while the crying male tried to calm his sobs down. All the warning about not to babe him or address him aside from Taehyung disappeared in the air when Taehyung nodded at Jay's affirmation.

Baby boy down. Next, I'm coming for you Jungkook.

The dark orbs flashed back to it's dirty red and remained in the darkness of the night while his lips curved into an evil smirk for he has successfully wrapped the ace healer around his fingers.

at the same time.
