"What was that?" Jimin's eye widened when his ear caught the screaming squeak from the second floor.

"Let me check-..." Yoongi was half-standing when the group in the dining hall's attention fell on two shadows coming down the stairs.

"Taehyung?" Yoongi watched as his brother walked towards him with an amused look on his face.

"So what's for dinner?" Taehyung cheerfully asked as he sat down next to Yoongi who resumed on his seat with a weird look on his face.

"Are you alright? I heard someone screaming." asked Yoongi when he notices his brother was starting to pick on some leftover dishes on the table.

"Oh yea, I'm fine. It's not me. It's Jungkook by the way." Taehyung giggled and looked over at the now flustered male whom everyone else neglected, for everyone's attention was on Taehyung presuming he must be the one screaming in a helpless situation.

"J-jungkook?" Hoseok's eyes grew wide as he shifted his face from Tae to Jungkook.

"Stop it. Don't look at me like that." Jungkook gritted on his teeth and commanded his warrior beta to get the heck back from staring at him with bewilderment.

"Alright, just sit and eat. You guys are behaving like children. Worse than children in fact." Jin massaged his temples with his index fingers and rolled his eyes making Namjoon chuckle with the dramatic expression by his mate.

As the rest of the entourage continued their meal with the paused chatters and laughter, Jimin's curiosity was killing him internally. He watched Taehyung keep gazing over at Jungkook with a questionable look in his eyes which almost looked like the brown head was about to swallow Jungkook whole right there and then.

Something must have happened. Jungkook is quiet and flustered.

Jimin took the advantage of sitting right beside Tae to lean into the brown head's ear and whisper lowly, he knows his fellow wolves must have all their ears peaked when they notice him approaching Taehyung.

"Tae, what happened up there?"

"Um, nothing. I just grabbed Jungkook's ass when I kissed him." Taehyung replied proudly. Too bad it wasn't in a similar tone which Jimin asked him, he was answering on his usual tone while nibbling on his food.

A loud cough erupted at the table as the rest of them eyed each other with an amused look. Jeon Jungkook, the head alpha of Shadow Pack, a true alpha who is envied and scared by many for his ability was grabbed by a human on his ass and he squeaked like a little girl.

The raven head was coughing like he was about to choke and die with a continuous evil smirk on Taehyung's face who seated opposite of him. Jungkook glared at everyone else on the table, silently mind linking a few to keep their mouth shut or else they probably won't live past the night.

Thank the moon goddess, the eventful dinner came to an end together with the night when everyone dispersed to their allocated rooms. Although a certain few people among the rest didn't like it when they have to be separated, they just abided to the arrangement for a single night.

"I suggest we leave Mr Jeon here in Celestial Pack for another week. Calum has offered to take care of him while we attend a few matters on hand."

Hoseok was in the middle of discussing with Jungkook the next morning as the two human-wolves woke up the earliest than the rest as they always have a routine of working out together without failing.

After a couple of hours of intense work outs and combat training, Jungkook and Hoseok now laid on the grass behind Calum's mansion as they discussed on the next best move for their pack and it's safety.

"I still can't believe someone would dare to do this to dad. He is the nicest leader I have seen." Jungkook closed his eyes, sweats decorating his forehead as he stabilised his panting breath.

"I know Jungkook. I believe we have an enemy right under our nose. More so after we come across Taehyung, things been getting a little intense. Don't you think?"

"What do you mean Hoseok?"

"Jungkook, think about it. I'm the warrior of the pack and I have come across a lot of difficult situations and fights. None of those has gone to the severity in touching the governing members. This is worse coz this person dares to use the forbidden wolfsbane poison on one of our leaders."

Hoseok was right, possessing the ingredients for wolfsbane is a crime on its own. Having to process it into poison is considered as one of the highest felonies among the human-wolf community.

"I will find out who is it Hoseok. I will. Taehyung is not safe either. Someone is targeting my mate as well, I wouldn't be surprised if the same person who invaded Tae's home is the one targeted my father."

"What do you mean by invading Tae's space?" Hoseok sat up with concern upon hearing this new information.

Jungkook sighed but he continued as he trusted Hoseok like no other. To say the warrior beta brewing in anger would be an understatement, he was burning with a desire to kill whoever this person might be. No one messes with the members under Shadow pack's care, absolutely no one.

"Jungkook, we need a meeting on this as soon as we reach the Shadow mansion."

"I know."

Both the human-wolfs' attention was brought back to reality when they heard Jimin's yelling from inside the house asking them to join the rest for breakfast. By now, the whole house has woken up aside from Mr Jeon who was still recovering on his bed.

"Calum, I trust you with this and thanks to a lot man for taking care of my parents." Jungkook gave the Celestial pack's head alpha a tight hug as he was saying farewell to the blond man with others on the front porch.

"Jungkook, don't worry about it. I will have Ray to monitor your father for the week and I understand you have more pressing matters in your hand. Just ring me anytime you need me, you know I will be there for you. it's a pack promise."

Calum patted the younger head alpha's shoulder and gave him his word. The rest of the elite members were waving the host bye as Calum's eyes fall particularly on Taehyung who was standing with a smile on his face watching nothing in particular.

"He is so special Jungkook. You're very lucky."

"M sorry?"

"I said he is very special, your mate right there. I've never seen someone as handsome and beautiful like him. If only he is aware of his ability, he will be unstoppable."

Jungkook narrowed his eyes at Calum. He is not liking one bit of the words coming out from the blond about his mate. Yes, Calum is married with a child but it doesn't stop Jungkook from getting possessive about his mate as he knows Calum just like any other human-wolves has no particular gender preference for their sexual partners.

"If I'm you then I'll watch what comes out of my mouth next." Jungkook snickered.

"Calm down champion. I was complimenting him on a good note, I am not gonna be keen with your mate, for fuck sake I have a wife and a beautiful baby."

"And that truly saved your ass from getting smacked by my lovely fist." Jungkook laughed out, he gave Calum one last hug before turning back to his members.

"So, who is riding who? I mean who is riding with whom in the cars?" Jimin tried to hide his smirk as Jin narrowed his eyes at the little silver head.

"I'll go with Namjoon. You three, you two." Jin said and dragged his mate into Namjoon's car.

"Perfect. Bye." Jimin dragged Yoongi and Hoseok each in his arms leaving Taehyung and Jungkook.

"Sweet, let's go then." Taehyung walked towards Jungkook's car and stood there waiting for the raven head to unlock the car doors.

Oh dear, it's gonna be a long ride back.

Jungkook is excited but quite nervous at the same time. About an hour or two with his mate in a closed space is not looking very good for he was about to combust with just the smirking look by Taehyung who was standing against the passenger side.

"Come on Kooks, you're taking forever. I'll drive."

Taehyung saw Jungkook's slow walk to the car and he was growing agitated. The brown head can't wait to spend some more time with Jungkook and it's bugging him how slow is Jungkook moving. The two other cars have long left and Calum retrieved back into his house.

"You wanna drive?"

"Yea, I guess you can ride me then. I mean with me, ride with me." Taehyung winked as he snatched the keys from Jungkook and wasted no time to start the engine.

Even worse. Gosh! I'm so screwed.

Jungkook can't believe his luck. He is growing so submissive with Taehyung and he is not sure if he even likes this side of him. It contradicts his true alpha status so much but what can he do when Taehyung's existence makes his knees weak like jello.

"Ready?" Tae placed his hands on Jungkook's thigh as soon as the raven head took the passenger seat. The poor raven head nodded.

"Great, good thing is we are on semester break, there is no rush to get back home. No classes. We can go for a slow drive. You like some detour pup?"

"Detour?"

"Yea, lemme bring you to this most amazing place I have seen in my life, you'll love it." Taehyung took the wheel in his hand and drove to the destination which he grew attached to, a place called Garden of Nem which he discovered when he went exploring on his own in the new town after moving in a couple of months ago.

Jungkook's heart was overwhelmed with joy and his wolf was completely drunk with love as they both feel giddy with the tender love and care their mate been showing.

Jungkook's grin grew wider as he turns to the window, enjoying the passing by the scenery and closed his eyes in content.
