"I'm sorry Tae. I didn't mean to."

Jungkook is not proud of how he has treated Taehyung. Be it his mate or not, he shouldn't have behaved so ignorantly to someone new coming into his territory. As the future head alpha, Jungkook should have known better.

He knew his old way of being ignorant and just to care for his immediate members won't work anymore. He is not even half as righteous as his father. How can he even lead a pack and be with a mate who is an ace healer?

"Hey Kooks? Are you ok? You need to stop zoning out on me. It does freak me out."

Taehyung noticed that Jungkook is spacing out again. Something that the younger has been doing awfully lot since the past week.

"Oh, I'm sorry. Just had too much to think."

"You need to speak out Kooks, I notice you barely speak to anyone. Are you not close with your friends?"

Jungkook adjusted his posture, he too now leaned over the railing, hunched back with his arms dangling freely.

"I am close to them. I trust them with my life."

Taehyung's ears perked as this. Trusting someone with their life is a huge statement.

"Jungkook, can I ask you something?"

The raven head looked to the side, caught off guard by the pair of hazel orbs staring down on him. Underneath the moonlight, Tae's orbs sparkled like a pot of gold. It would perfectly contrast with Jungkook's wolf eyes.

"Have you been in love?"

This was unexpected. Jungkook's heart tumbled. The love of his life, his mate is asking about love. How ironic can it be?

"Yes."

For some odd reason, Taehyung was expecting him to say no. He didn't know why but the one-word answer from Jungkook stung his heart. He batted his eyelids anxiously, unable to understand his frustration.

"Are you still in love?"

"Yes." Jungkook answered, without wavering his eyes from the brown head.

"I guess she must be one lucky girl then. You're a nice person Jungkook, nicer than I thought you were." Tae nervously chuckled. He was trying to buy some time to pacify his uneasy feeling which born out of Jungkook's affirmations.

"Yes, he is."

Taehyung's eye widened. Did Jungkook just mention it's a boy whom he is in love with? The brown head is now even more aggravated for some unknown reasons.

"It's a boy?"

"Do I look straight to you?" Jungkook's voice was a tone darker, deeper than he ever registered when he speaks with Taehyung.

The brown head gulped, finding the raven head's stare and voice suddenly intimidating from the corner of the space, making the vibe of their surrounding eerily chill.

"I-I..."

"I have no sexuality preference Taehyung. Just between you and me, all the boys in my group have none either." Jungkook's brow quirked up, tongue rolling against his inner mouth cheeks.

Taehyung gulped down even more, suddenly feeling dry in his throat when he finds the playful demeanour on Jungkook is now slowly turning dark and seductive. He has to be imagining it right? Is he finding Jungkook seductive all of a sudden?

"Now tell me, how about you?" Jungkook threw the ball back to Tae's court. For one, Jungkook knew the answer to that but he just wanted to tease the older.

"I'm open. I have had a crush on a girl before but it just didn't excite me. At least not like when I kissed Jason."

Taehyung kissed a guy before?

Jungkook's anger boiled 100-degree celsius in his blood that his strong grip on the wooden railing broke off the branch creating a loud sound.

"What the fuck just happened?" Taehyung gasped, both watching and hearing the sudden breaking of the wood which Jungkook was holding all along.

"Old wood."

"Geez Jeon, calm your muscles down."

"So you kissed a guy before?"

"I just said I did, didn't I? It was a long time ago when I got into college. Eventually Jason moved out of town too, nothing special after that."

Bloody Jason, that bastard better not be coming to this side of the town anytime soon.

Jungkook cursed this Jason guy as he took in a huge sniff of his mate's scent and calmed him down at that very instance.

"So...about this guy you love, does he go to our college? Do your group of friends know about him?"

"Our friends. They are also your group of friends now Taehyung."

"I know, just answer my damn question Jungkook." Taehyung gently flicked a finger on Jungkook's broad shoulder, clearly not creating any impact on the strong muscular alpha.

"He does."

Taehyung's playfulness slumped off his body like a candle being put off the light. Should he even be disappointed? Who is he kidding? Of coz, Jungkook's lover boy is going to be attending Shadow College.

"That's good to know. Is he of your age?"

The brown head was curious, he wanted all the information he could get about Jungkook's lover boy. Deep down, Taehyung just wants to ensure the younger is with someone deserving of him.

"You can say so." Jungkook furrowed his brows before answering. Technically he turned 21, and Tae's 22nd birthday is not until Dec 30th. So for a few months, they are of the same age.

"Oh." Taehyung didn't think too far and he immediately thought that it must be one of the junior boys as well.

"Are you sulking Taehyung?" Jungkook finds the emotion changing in his mate to be very amusing. He knew that some way or another, Taehyung will open up more to him and will fall in love with him. They are destined after all.

How long will it take for the brown head to give in and accept Jungkook? He doesn't know. The true alpha can only wish that eventually when the day of revelation and acceptance come into play, the results will be positive for him.

"WHAT? No, I am not. You're growing blind." Taehyung defended himself, without the knowledge that Jungkook is a werewolf, he sees things as clear as he is in daylight with his night vision.

"Sure thing princess."

"Hey, don't princess me. Who told you I'm the bottom?"

"Wow Tae, are we speaking about our sexual positions now? FYI, being called a princess doesn't define the masculinity of the person." Jungkook inched closer looking playful but at the same time just agonized with the tiny little space separating his skin from touching his mate's.

"Ew, don't be such a jerk. I'd never have sex with you."

"Don't claim it just yet Taehyung."

"You have a boyfriend for fuck sake, don't even try to flirt with another person. It will hurt his feelings."

Tae knew he didn't like the sound of Jungkook and some other boy, he swears he has no feelings for the younger but he just can't pin down the dissatisfaction on the attention of hearing that Jungkook is in love with someone.

"I didn't tell that he loves me back, did I?"

Jungkook's arm was touching Tae and swear it by the moon, they both felt a sparkle. Jungkook's wolf was rejoicing like it's a damn carnival.

"You're on a one side love?"

"You can say so." Jungkook smiled sadly as he said this.

"It's foolish to not love someone like you back Jungkook. You're lovable if you ask me."

Taehyung bites on his tongue as soon as he finished his sentence. He pretended to sound completely harmless and genuine but the boy in front of him was melting into a pool of mush.

"Will you ever fall in love with me Tae?"

Jungkook stood straight, turning his body so he can face Taehyung fully. With the gentle breeze untucking the loose strands of Tae's hair, the true alpha took his fingers and helped his mate to tuck his loose strands of brown hair behind his ears.

Taehyung's eyes fixated on the male in front of him. Taking in the soft and defined features on Jungkook's face warmed his heart. The younger's Bambi eyes, his cute little nose which must have been chubbier on his younger days, the tiny scar on his left cheeks which might have been an evidence of an unwanted fight.

His eyes grazed down to Jungkook's thin upper lip complimenting his fuller bottom with a tiny little mole to finish off his signature.

"Tae, my eyes are up here."

"Oh, um...I-I forgot something! Your gift!"

Taehyung thanked the power above for the quick thought as he digs into his jacket holding tightly on the gift he got the young raven head.

Shit, did I get caught staring at Jungkook?
