"Morning Taehyungie."

The day dawned crisp and clear, as the sun poured into the brown head's room while his older brother waddled his way in, waking up the sleepy head.

"Taehyung?" Yoongi nudged the blob of a messed up head he saw sticking out from the comforter.

"Huh?" Tae's voice was deep and raspy, almost inaudible as the blanket shifted from left to right, with no sign of him waking up.

"Wakey wakey. It's almost 10 AM Tae. Don't you have anything planned for the day?"

Yoongi is now sitting by the edge of Tae's bed, holding a cup of iced Americano in his hand.

"Morning hyung..." Tae's brown head finally made a proper appearance from beneath his blanket, showing off his puffy cheeks and morning face, looking squishy.

"Aw, you had a good sleep tiger?"

"Mhm."

"I saw you sneaking in late to the house last night."

"WHAT?" Taehyung jumped on his bed like it was lava and he was being drenched in heat. He jumped a few times, inching himself closer to Yoongi who was calmly sipping on his iced coffee.

"You knew I was out? I thought you were asleep." Tae pouted at his brother.

"Taehyung, you know I am your brother right?"

The younger nodded.

"You do know I am aware of your wellbeing, your whereabouts and also all your antics right?"

Again, Taehyung nodded.

"I saw you coming in late. I also saw Jungkook outside our driveway."

Tae's eyes widened. His brother did catch him red-handed. And there he thought he was being discrete and kissed Yoongi goodnight thinking his brother was fast asleep in oblivion.

"Chill Tae, I'm not saying anything wrong with it. Maybe next time, just drop me a text or something so I don't freak out if you're out of the house in the middle of the night."

"Ok."

"So, you're finally awake now? Want to have something to eat?" Yoongi notices Tae's mood was running downhill after confronting about the event last night.

"YES!"

As expected, Tae's mood was back again on the track like a ray of sunshine as soon as Yoongi mentioned about food.

"Yoongles, can I ask you something?"

Yoongi raised his brow as he sipped on his black coffee, watching his brother shifting on his folded knees on the bed from left to right.

"It's Kook's birthday today and he invited me to his house. Do you perhaps wanna come with me?"

Yoongi narrowed his eyes at his brother. Did Jungkook just made a move on his little brother and even invited him to the house without his permission? How dare he? Not only he sneaked Tae out in the middle of the night, scented him and now he has the courtesy to invite his brother to his home?

"Taehyung, I don't think so-..."

"I really wanna go Hyung, this is my first invite to a gathering in a new town and I like hanging out with them. You're invited as well!"

"Are you sure I am invited genuinely?"

"YES! Jungkook said you can come along with me if I'm not comfortable coming alone so I said yes."

That alpha boy sure knows how to convince my little brother by putting me in so he can't refuse. Yoongi scoffed mentally at Jungkook's effort.

"Fine. Urm, is everyone from the gang gonna be there?"

"Yes! Jimin, Hoseok, Joonie and Jinnie too!"

"Okay. Get into the shower, I will make something for us to eat." Yoongi moved towards the door, hiding his smirk as he was somewhat feeling joyful to meet Jimin and Hoseok in particular.

Taehyung smiled at the back of Yoongi as his brother walked out of his room. Tae knows that Yoongi will never refuse if he asks something, his brother loves him too much to say no or deny his pleads.

The brown head reached over the nightstand for his phone and checked to see if Jungkook shared his address to him for the gathering. As expected, Tae's heart warmed with the sunshine peeking in when he saw a notification from the raven head.

"Hmm, now I need to get him a gift."

Taehyung ran into the shower and cleaned up his room before joining Yoongi for a quick breakfast. As soon as he was done, Tae was out again of the house, claiming he needed to find something for Jungkook.

As Yoongi was cleaning up the mess Tae left behind, his phone rang.

Incoming call: Mr Jeon

"Mr Jeon?" Yoongi was taken back but not entirely surprised either. He cleared his throat before sliding it to answer.

"Hello."

"Hello Yoongi. It's been a while."

"Not too long Mr Jeon. We spoke a week ago."

"How are you doing son?"

"I'm well Mr Jeon. I heard it's Jungkook's 21st birthday today."

"So you knew?"

"I knew it since last night Mr Jeon. I was not surprised but I did catch Jungkook's scent on Taehyung. They were together the moment when Jungkook turned 21."

"Indeed Yoongi. Jungkook came back home exhilarated that he found his mate and was very surprised to know its a human."

"Alpha Jeon, did you perhaps?"

"I'm sorry Yoongi, I know you wanted to be the one to enlighten him on this matter but I had to take the step ahead to break the news to Jungkook."

Yoongi hold on his phone tightened. He closed his eyes and sighed in defeat throwing his head back. He is not mad at the older Jeon, just a little disappointed for he wanted to be the one to break their heritage and history to the raven head. After all, Taehyung is his brother and only bloodline he has left.

"It's fine Mr Jeon. I can understand."

"I also want to let you know that both Namjoon and Jin knows about it too. In fact, due to Jin's instinctive ability, he was already suspecting something was up between the younger and also you."

This was new news to Yoongi. He wasn't expecting for the NamJin couple to suspect him. He was sure he used his ability to mask his true nature.

"How? Did they found out I was hiding my true self?"

"Not at all Yoongi, they didn't suspect you at all, they only find it weird how drawn both Jimin and Hoseok are with you. It became a curiosity to them and of coz, Jungkook was highly exhibiting love interest on Taehyung building up on the days he was turning 21."

Yoongi nodded although the older Jeon on the other side of the line can't notice his verbal cues.

"I guess you will be stopping by with Taehyung today to our house?"

"Yep. So I believe."

"Good, we need to talk."

"Alpha Jeon, I don't think so it's time for Taehyung to know-..."

"YOONGLES! I'm back! Look what I got!"

Yoongi turned abruptly towards the door, watching his little brother excitedly ran towards him but stopped in a halt mouthing 'sorry' as he noticed Yoongi was on the phone. Tae quietly went back to the living room and waited for his brother to finish his call.

"Mr Jeon, Tae is back. I will talk to you in person. But remember, Tae should not know about any of the truth. Not yet."

Yoongi said his goodbye and immediately deleted the call logs as he joined Tae who happily showed off his birthday purchase for Jungkook.

"So...what did Yoongi say?" Jungkook asked his father as he was there, present in his study, overhearing their phone conversation.

"He said to keep it hidden from Taehyung as of now."

Jungkook ran his fingers through his soft raven head. He can't understand why Yoongi is being super protective of Taehyung. Yes, he is a special person. Yes, he is the ace healer. But what good can it be for Tae in hiding his true identity from him?

"But Dad, what does Yoongi wanna sneak around? The danger is no longer present after the end of Dark Days, the Crusaders are gone. They are cursed for their acts."

"Son, maybe Yoongi is not being very truthful either."

Jungkook's ears perked up at this. What can Yoongi be hiding from them?
