Chapter 9 (rewrote)
Yuu, Kimizuki, Yoichi and I were on our way to Shinoa's or Mitsuba's room. They said they want to invite us and that they're going to cook something for us.
I have a bad feeling about this. I glanced at you who tried to style his hair.
"Oh my god!! My hair is finally OK." He shouted.
I grinned and jumped to Yuu's side.
"What?" He asked.
"Well, you know-"
Before I finished my sentence I ruffled his hair again. Now it looked even more terrible than before, which made me burst out laughing as I saw Yuu's shocked face.
"You monster. You terrible creature. You sadist." Yuu mumbled desperately while trying to fix his hair again.
"I'm not a sadist." I replied with a grin.
"I can't understand, how you can be this happy this early in the morning." Kimizuki mumbled and sighed.
I just grinned as response.
"Hey, Kimi. Wanna hear a joke about ghosts?"
Kimizuki sighed.
"Sure..."
"That's the spirit." I replied and laughed.
Kimizuki suddenly stopped walking and looked like he got an electric shock. Yoichi and Yuu started laughing.
"Okay, Kimi. I'm sorry. I promise I'll stop jokes like this. Just wanted to lift up the 'spirit' a little bit." I mentioned and laughed.
Kimizuki stared at me.
"What?"
"You know-"
Before he finished his sentence, he ruffled my hair. Like I did with Yuu.
"You monster. You stole my trick." I complained and tried to fix my hair.
"Well, I learned from the best." Kimizuki mocked and went on ahead.
I stood there, watching Kimizuki walking away and recalled what he just said. My face turned red.
"Yuna, you're coming?" Yoichi asked from ahead.
"Yes!" I replied and ran after them.
We were heading for the room we're supposed to meet but heard screams coming from the kitchen. I spun around and dashed towards the kitchen. I slammed the door open and saw a pan burning. Shinoa and Mitsuba were running in circles. I tried to hold back my laughter.
Yuu took the nearest extinguisher and put out the flames.
"What were you two doing?" Kimizuki asked shocked.
"We tried to make omelets." Shinoa explained.
"Geez, I'll do it." Kimizuki said and went up to the stove.
"You can cook?" I asked.
"Yes, I cooked a lot since my sister is sick." Kimizuki replied.

We were sitting at the table and ate the breakfast Kimizuki made.
"That tastes great!!" I complimented him with a smile.
"Thanks." Kimizuki replied and looked away.
I was about to continue eating, but-
"Yuna! You made Kimizuki blush!" Yuu yelled and laughed.
"I'm not blushing!" Kimizuki replied angrily.
"You are! Look at your face! It's red, like a tomato."
"Shut up."
"Yuu is right." Yoichi pointed out with a nervous smile.
"Oh my, how cute. Don't tell me you're in love with her." Shinoa said and grinned.
"Guys, please stop." Mitsuba groaned.
"Guys... please...." I mumbled and put my head on the table.
"We're here to talk about something important. Not about Kimizuki's crush." Mitsuba complained and glared at Shinoa.
"She's right, you wanted to talk about something. And I'm not happy that everyone knows something, I don't know." Yuu crossed his arms.
Shinoa stopped laughing and put on a serious expression.
"There are two things we wanted to talk about." Shinoa said.
"Point 1: About the incident that happened during our last battle in which you tried to kill me. Point 2: Can we trust Guren?" Shinoa finished.
"Guren? What do you mean by that?" Yuu asked.
"It could be that he just uses us all. Maybe he just needs us because of the fight, he has with the headquarters or he has an even bigger plan." Mitsuba explained.
"The question is, if we should continue to follow Guren's orders."
*Time Skip*
I was lying on the couch. Shinoa and Yuu left. They probably talk about Yuu's incident. But they will come back soon, I'm sure about this. I closed my eyes and sighed. I remember the day, the headquarters ordered everyone to come to their office one by one. Except for me. Kaze told me that I meet him years ago, but I still can't tell if it's true or if it was a lie. He doesn't want to talk about Akito either. So he has to know him, or else he could have just told me, that he hasn't met him before.
"Hey, Yuna. If you fall asleep, I'll sit down on you, if you think about using every inch of the couch." Kimizuki mumbled.
I sat up and sighed.
"I was just thinking."
"Kimizuki, stop teasing Yuna." Yoichi complained with a smile.
"You're right. Kimi is so mean to me." I mocked with a grin.
"You-"
Suddenly the door flung open and Shinoa and Yuu entered the room.
"Oh, you're back." I said and jumped of from the couch.
I ran up to them, but Kimizuki stretched out his leg and I stumbled over it. I fell over and landed with my face on the ground.
"Sorry." Kimizuki said and grinned.
I stood up and turned towards him, clenching my fists.
"Yuna! Don't!" Shinoa shouted, trying to stop me.
Too late. I already sent him flying to the other end of the room. Damn it... I forgot about my strength.
"Are you okay?" I asked worried and ran up to Kimizuki.
"I'm feeling as good as you can feel after a hit like that." He responded with a smile.
"I'm so sorry!" I apologized.
"Yuna, calm down. It was an accident." Mitsuba said and tried to calm me down.
"I think you shouldn't start a fight with her." Yuu mentioned and laughed.
Kimizuki glared at him.
*Time Skip*
We were sitting on the table, drinking tea. I don't even like tea. Why am I drinking this?
"We're going to follow Guren." Yuu said and broke the silence "Guren said, we're a family."
I took a sip of my cup and glanced at my reflection in it. Why am I drinking this?!
"Mitsuba. Yoichi. Kimizuki. Shinoa. Yuna." Yuu said while facing one after the other. "You're my new family. You're all really important to me. But..."
"...you can't forget Mika." I mumbled.
"Right. He is also a member of my family. I know that you'll all get problems because of me. But-"
"That's enough!" Kimizuki interrupted Yuu and stood up "I think we all think the same way."
Shinoa also stood up.
"Seems like, we made our discussion. Family is important. So we'll continue fighting like this." She said and smiled.
"But first Yuu has to comb his hair." Kimizuki pointed out and patted Yuu's head.
*Time Skip*
I was sitting on my bed staring at the wall. It's so quiet and lonely right now.
I let myself fall backwards and stared up at my ceiling. I sighed and closed my eyes. I drifted of into sleep.
First everything around me was black, but soon turned white.
"I want to talk with you about something." I said and crossed my arms.
"I know." Kaze replied after appearing.
"You said, that I'm living in this world much longer than I thought. What did you mean with that?" I asked.
Kaze stayed silent, but then sighed and opened his mouth to speak.
"I saw you the first time, as I was a vampire. That was about 8 years ago."
"But you said we know each other since 5 years."
"That's true, but the first time I saw you, was 3 years before we met. As I spotted you the first time, a week after the virus killed everyone older than 13. I was supposed to look for children with a friends of mine. I noticed you, strolling through the town like a lost puppy. I was the only one who noticed you, so I decided to leave you be, since I wasn't expecting a human older then 13 to walk through the town. I haven't seen you for years since that day though. So I was really surprised to see you again three years later. Not only because you were still alive and not captured, but also because you were still looking exactly the same after all those years. I decided to talk with you, but it wasn't as easy as I thought since you immediately ran away as you saw me and I had to catch up with you first. After trying to talk with you for hours, you finally decided to listen to me. You told me that you had an accident with your friend and that you woke up in this town three years ago, which I didn't believe of course, so I made fun of you. You groaned and turned away, so I stopped and tried to believe what you were talking about. You told me that you were searching for your best friends, but without success. So you asked me if I knew a vampire called Akito."
"And?" I asked confused.
"No, I didn't know any vampire called Akito."
I sighed disappointed.
"But there is something I can tell you about yourself." Kaze said and smiled.
"What is it?" I questioned.
"You are neither a human nor a vampire. You can live like a normal human. Eat normal food, enjoy the sun, without feeling like dying you even look like a normal human. Your physical strength resemble the ones of a vampire, though. Your body holds inhuman strengths and speed." Kaze explained and smiled at me.
"So... something like a combination of a vampire and a human?" I asked blunt and crossed my arms.
"If you want it to call that, then yes. Half human. Half vampire. Sounds funny doesn't it. You're nearly as strong as a progenitor, even though you aren't even a full vampire! That's unbelievable! Can you imagine how strong you would be if you were a complete vampire?!" Kaze asked excited and grabbed my shoulders.
"Dream on. I'm not going to let myself turn into a vampire. No matter how strong I would be then." I replied and glared at him.
"Then you better make sure that no one finds out about your true strength." Kaze warned and disappeared.
I woke up in my room.
"You damn f*cking asshole!!" I shouted.
