Chapter 8 (rewrote)

We made our way to Shinjuku, which was under attack. We helped to defend the town against the vampires.

After a while we were ordered to help Guren and the others on the front. As we arrived the front, we spotted Guren fighting against a blond haired vampire. Oh... just Mika.

I stopped running and just strolled after them, not wanting to be involved in this situation.

"Aren't you going to help them?" Kaze asked.

"What do you mean? I'm on my way."

"How about hurrying up?"

"It's not like they need me right now. Guren is going to scold Yuu for not killing Mika. Then Yuu asks Mika, if he is really Mika. Meanwhile Crowley is going to appear. My squad wants to retreat, but Ferid is going to attack Yuu. Guren saves him. Yuu saves Guren. Mika attacks Ferid and takes Yuu away. Yuu starts to argue with Mika and blah... blah... blah... I'm really not in the mood to be involved in something like this. I don't want to mess up the story... But wait, I probably ruined everything by just joining the army..." I complained.

"Yuna... You just said that out aloud." Kaze mentioned and sighed frustrated.

"Oops. Well... it's not like anyone actually listened to me."

I stopped walking and turned around, spotting Crowley sitting on a pile of rubble, smirking down at me.

Seriously now?!

"You're probably the unluckiest person I met in my entire life." Kaze joked and burst out laughing.

"It would be really great if you just leave go there and act like you haven't heard anything." I suggested and pointed towards the battlefield.

Crowley stood up and jumped off the remains of an old building, landing right in front of me.

"Dude, safety distance." I complained and backed away, holding tightly onto my weapon.

"Who cares about safety distance when they are about to get killed?" He asked dumbfounded.

"I do." I mumbled and smiled nervously and backed further away.

He sighed and looked down at me.

"I hope you remember what I told you a short while ago. Because I-"

I ignored Crowley, spun around and fled.

"Where are you going?" He asked with a grin, as he suddenly stood in front of me, blocking my way.

"I don't want to fight you." I complained and took a step backwards.

Crowley starred at me in disbelieve after hearing my words.

"Don't be stupid." He said and suddenly attacked me.

I dodged his sword and ran past him.

"What's wrong with you?!" Kaze shouted at me.

"I don't want to fight him. I would fight everyone but him!" I replied while running away.

"Do you really think he cares about what you want to?!"

Crowley blocked my way again and I stopped running.

"Fine, I will fight against him... But I will not kill him, even if he kills me." I mumbled and pointed my weapon at him.

"So you finally decided to take this serious?" Crowley asked with a smirk.

"As serious as I can." I replied with a grin.

"So not at all?" Kaze asked amused.

"I just tried to take this fight serious! Why did you have to say that now?!" I shouted at him, trying to hold back my laughter.

Crowley suddenly brought his sword down at me, but I riposted it. This time I attacked him, yet he just dodged with ease.

This will probably go on for a while. Crowley started aiming for me repeatedly. I either dodged or blocked his swords.

I have an idea, I wonder if it will work.

"You could try it." Kaze suggested and laughed.

I took a deep breath, deciding to give it a try. I dodged Crowley's next attack, went behind his back and brought my weapon down at him.

He blocked my attack like expected. I smiled and pulled the rug out from under his feet.

I starred down at him with a grin.

"No one would ever think about doing something as childish as that." Crowley mumbled and starred up at me.

"Well, I do." I replied and turned away.

I was about to walk away, as I suddenly heard a step and spun around. I managed to block a sudden attack from Crowley, but this time the impact caused me to crash into a wall a few meters away from me. I tried to get back on my feet, but fell onto my knees.

Pain... My back hurts...

"Never turn your back on your enemy." Crowley reminded me and pointed the tip of his sword against my throat.

"Yuna!" Kaze shouted.

"Calm down..." I mumbled and tightened the grip around weapon.

"Finally! You finally take it seriously!!" He shouted and dark fog encased my weapon.

Crowley suddenly backed away. He seemed to be curious of what's going to happen next.

I swung it in Crowley's direction. A creature escaped from my weapon, witch sliced a large gab into the ground. Crowley dodged it though and it made it's way towards the battlefield. It nearly hit Ferid, but just sliced his hair. It dashed through the battlefield and killed many vampires, before it disappeared.

"Seems like I missed him..." Kaze mumbled amused.

"You missed on purpose?!" I shouted angrily.

"I would never do something like that." He replied sarcastically.

"Someone cut my hair!!" Ferid shouted from the distance.

"Kaze!!! Are you nuts!!! He will kill me if he finds out that it was me!!!" I screamed scared for my life.

He just burst out laughing.

I face-palmed with both of my hands. I'm so dead!

I peeked through my fingers and starred over towards the battlefield. I'm probably dead, but it's also kinda funny to have cut his hair.

I tried my best to hold back my laughter.

"It may be funny now, but if he finds out that you cut his hair, you will be dead." Crowley mentioned and walked away.

"I know that myself, so I will just enjoy this moment as long as I can." I replied with a grin.

"You're going to die, if you keep up this attitude." He mumbled and left.

I stayed put after he left without another word.

"He's right. You'll die if you keep acting like that. You either fight serious or you should just leave the army." Kaze whispered.

"I know that myself..." I mumbled and starred down onto my feet.

A few minutes later I arrived at the battlefield, but Yuu and Mika were already gone.

"Where the heck were you?!" Mitsuba asked while fighting against a vampire.

"I was stopped by a this vampire noble from a few hours ago." I replied.

"Can you please help us now?!" She begged.

"No problem." I agreed and killed the vampire with one blow.

"Thanks. Now, if you would be so friendly could you please help the other too?"

"Yes, ma'am!"

I went to help the others as much as possible.

All of sudden I heard a loud noise. I couldn't describe it. But I noticed a large hole in the ground. I saw 'Yuu' walking into Shinoa's direction. Something black came out of his back and it looked like he was about to kill her. I ran up to him, without thinking about it.

"Yuu! Stop!" I shouted.

But he didn't even look at me. He swung his sword at Shinoa. Mika went in between to stop Yuu from killing a human. I also ran up and blocked his sword, so it couldn't hit Mika. I pushed him away with my weapon and glared at him. Yuu's figure starred at me with a shocked expression.

"Shinoa! Bring him back!" I said and turned away.

Shinoa ran up to Yuu and hugged him. I could hear him scream, before he came back to sense and fainted.
I looked at Mika, who was starring at me dumbfounded.

"Don't look like that or this expression will stay put on your face." I mocked with a smirk and went towards Yoichi.

I noticed Ferid and just grinned at him without a word.

He was about to say something, but had to dodge an attack that what caused by a gun.

Kureto Hiragi appeared with an army of soldiers. I hate this dude...
Kimizuki picked Yuu up and we left the battlefield.

*A few days later*

I was sitting in the hospital, waiting for Yuu to wake up. I was bored, so I glanced out of the window. I shooed Shinoa out of the room, because I wanted to be alone with Yuu. I knew that there was no point in doing so, since he was still sleeping, but I just wanted to. I sighed and looked at Yuu. I went up to his bed and knelt down in front of it. Suddenly, Yuu sat up and looked around.

"Where am I?" Yuu asked confused.

"Yuu! You're finally awake!" I shouted and hugged him.

"Why what happened?"

"After beating the shit out of the vampires, you went unconscious, for days." I said and hugged him tighter.

"For days?! What about Mika?"

"He left with the other vampires, but don't worry, he is fine." I explained with a smile.

"What a relieve..."

The door flew open and the others came in. They stopped, as they saw me hugging Yuu. I let go of him and left embarrassed.
