Chapter 23

A/N
So... Well it took years to update. Like always. I wish i could promise you to update faster, but my inspirations don't want to help like 20/7.
But I won't stop updating until this book reached it's end. That's a promise.
(Even if that promise might keep on for like centuries. ^^')
Well i hope you enjoy it anyways.

Btw I I drawing Kaze. I hope it's not that bad. XD

---------------------------------------

I was shifting my feet back and forth in boredom as Guren explained the plan to defeat Ky Luc. He took out a stuffed animal, which was supposed to be the noble. Shinya for some reason slapped it out of Gurens' hands, sending it into the fire which surrounded the other two dolls, Ferid and Krul.
"Oh well looks like we defeated him pretty fast." The dude with the pipe said with a grin.
This plan is a waste of cute stuffed animals.
"Could we please stop burning the stuffed animals and talk seriously about our plan?" I asked with an annoyed expression.
"What made you such a killjoy, Yuna?" The black haired adult asked with a sigh.
I just scoffed and turned away.
Gazing into the distance, I spotted Crowley joining us, a new stuffed animal in his hands.
"Here, I brought a spare one. This can be out new Ky Luc." The red haired spoke up with a grin and passed it to Guren.
"So, everyone listen up." Guren shouted, causing everyone to turn their heads.
No.

*TimeSkip*

We were readying ourselves for the battle, as I repeated the plan in my head.
So as much as I heard, we are trying to distract him, so our secret weapon, Yuu, will surprise him. During this time, we will try to free the nobles, so they will be able to help us defeating Ky Luc. And we all have to stay alive.
I glanced at Crowley, who was standing next to me, as we waited for the others to attack the noble.

Since we both are pretty much the only ones who could manage to take a hit or hit him, we are supposed to surprise attack him after the others did.
"So, how high is out chance against him?" I asked and crossed my arms, as I leaned against the dirty brick wall.
"Well..." The vampire looked down at me "Not pretty high I would say."
I tilted my head with a dry laugh.

"I thought so."
"At least you don't underestimate him." He replied with a grin.
"I never would. I'm not really in the mood to loose my head." I stuck out my tongue.

Crowley looked away seeming to think about something.
I yawned and looked over to our target.
"Do you think you can reattach your limbs if they get cut off?" The red haired asked out of nowhere.
"W-what? What's that all of sudden?" I looked at him with shock.
"Well, I mean your wounds just heal within a few seconds, just like vampire's wounds. So why wouldn't you be able to reattach your limbs too?" The male explained with a curious expression.

I just starred at him dumbfounded, my mouth open.
"I'm not saying that you should try it out, but if there is a possibility then you could use it."
I closed my mouth and rubbed my temples.
"You are right. I will not try it our. But I will also not try it out if the opportunity comes." I muttered and glared at him.
"Look at it more positively. If you would loose an arm in the next few minutes, by accident of course, then there might be a high chance, that you won't loose your arm for forever." The vampire pointed out with a smile.
I couldn't even bring myself to respond to this stupid thought and looked away, hoping that he might leave the topic be.

"Alright. Looks like the rescue started." I finally broke the silence, as I spotted Ky Luc simply blocking Yoichi's attack with a grin.
Yuu ran towards the noble, getting his attention. In this moment Shinya's demon dashed towards the noble. He simply grabbed it and noticed the UV-Blocking rings the demon had with him. Now he knew that we were after Krul and Ferid. As he was caught in his thoughts his hand started melting, causing him to smile amused.
"Wow! An Illusion. Strong enough to even fool me. Amazing." He whispered in awe, as he spun around and grabbed Goshi, the guy with the pipe.
Just as he was about to kill him, Crowley appeared from behind, to stop his actions. This moment I also took action, ready to attack right after Crowley.
Key Luc seemed quiet surprised, seeing a vampire fight along humans. Especially a noble, like Crowley.
The brown haired noble simply blocked, Crowley's attack and within the next second, the red haired vampire lost his head.
"Damn. You really need to stop loosing your head over everything." I mutters, as I leaped off the ground, swinging my weapon down on Ky Luc.
"Now, who is the real attacker here?" He muttered, still trying to figure out what really is going on here.
Just as I was about to get him, he swiftly spun around, blocking my weapon, with one of his hands.
"Another human?" He asked, confused as he took a hold of my weapon.
The next moment, my feet left the ground and before I knew it, he used my weapon, throwing me over his shoulder, causing me to crash into the hard street.
I groaned in pain.

"Luckily I'm not human. That damage would have killed me, instead of breaking the road." I laughed dryly.
The noble looked down at me with surprise.
"What-"
"Die!" Mika yelled from behind, leaping towards the noble.
What the heck Mika. You can't attack someone from behind and scream "Die!" before even reaching him!
Ky Luc spun around and dodged Mika's sword and hurried over to Krul and Ferid, realizing that we didn't come for him.
I slowly raised from the crate in the ground, which was caused by my impact with the street and grabbed my weapon.
I ran after the noble, trying to prolong the the fight of the others.
"I wasn't finished." I shouted after the noble.
He turned around in surprise, as he heard me calling out to him.
"You are already back on your feet? Amazing." He exclaimed "A human could have never recovered that fast, after surviving something like this."
I tightened the grip around me weapon. His attitude really starts pissing me off.
The next moment I felt something rushing through my vines and the my movement increased even more.
"That was unexpected." The noble whispered as he noticed what just happened.
I leaped forward, the noble blocked my attack again. I smiled.
"Your eyes-"
This time "I" used my weapon to throw myself into the air. I grinned, as I was midair a few feet above the noble.
"Kaze!" I shouted and swung my weapon down.
The next moment my weapon began to glow and thousands of small air blades, forming a huge green force, aimed directly for the noble.

(You could say it was more likely glowing green air, which was sharp like blades or something like that. You know air or wind that cuts things. I don't know how to describe it properly.)

Ky Luc, didn't wait long and jumped from the ground, escaping the cutting wind.
"Oh well." I sighed irritated.
This guy really is annoying me. I feel pretty stressed out at the moment.
"Yuna. Stay calm. You can't fight properly when you are loosing your temper." Kaze warned me angrily.
"Don't tell me to stay calm when you are pissed yourself." I scoffed and tightened the grip around my weapon.
"Yuna! Focus!"

"Alright!" I screamed as aimed for the noble again.
"How annoying. She just won't die." The noble sighed, ready to block me attack.
"You are the annoying one here!!!" I screamed at him, using all my strength on this blow.
Ky Luc looked at me in surprise as he heard me scream at him.
The impact of our strengths created a shock wave, blowing the the dust off the ground.

"If I had time at the moment I would definitely kill you, but it looks like the hostages are in danger of being rescued. So, unfortunately, I don't have time to deal with you now." The noble spoke up with a grin.
I looked at him in surprise. Suddenly I noticed something in the corner of my eyes. I crossed my arms in front of my face, out of reflex.
"How much of a vampire's power do you have?" Ky Luc asked with a smirk.
I lost my balance by the impact and stumbled backwards, loosing my weapon.
"Huh?" I looked up in surprise as I tried to catch myself.
The next moment I spotted blood in front of my face and the noble was gone.
"Yuna!" Kaze shouted at me.
"?"
"Your hands!"
"My hands?" I asked confused and raised my arm to look at it.
"..."
"..."
"There are no hands." I muttered, feeling pretty dazed.
"That is the problem!" Kaze yelled in terror.
"Where are my hands?!" I screamed in shock as I suddenly realized what had happened.
I scanned the area around me and suddenly spotted Crowley close to me.
"That's way to ironic, don't you think Kaze?" I muttered with a sigh.
"Hey, Yuna. I think you lost something." Crowley spoke up as he walked over to me.
"You can't proof anything." I scoffed and crossed my arms.
"Are you sure about that?" The red haired male asked with a sigh.
"Yes, I'm. But could you give me a hand there?" I asked and stretched my arms towards him.
"One or two?"
"Two, if I'm not asking too much of you." I joked with a grin.
"What if it doesn't work?" Crowley asked and tilted his head.
"Then I'm going to fight like Zoro." I replied with a dry laugh.

*A few moments later*

"So, no need to fight like Zoro?" Kaze asked with a disappointed expression.
"Shut up, dude." I huffed and stretched my fingers.
"Well, that would have been pretty bad if you had lost both your hands." Kaze muttered and crossed his arms. "There would have been a lot of stuff you couldn't do anymore."
"Kaze." I spoke up and glanced over my shoulder. "Please shut up. We are in a really serious battle right now. Please don't start with unimportant things."
Kaze's grin faded for a second.
"Fine. But only because I haven't seen you this serious for a while now." My demon replied and disappeared into thin air.
I sighed quietly and spun around, only to be hit by a huge shock wave, nearly throwing me off the ground.
I covered my face, until the wind faded.
As I peeked though my arms, I spotted "Yuu" fighting Ky Luc.
I had to admit that I haven't seen "Yuu" during his training and didn't really know what he was capable of.

Guren started a sneak attack from behind, which didn't stay unnoticed by the noble. Even though, Guren still got him. Or should I say, Shinoa's sister?
The brown haired vampire seemed irritated by now and aimed directly for Guren.
"Oh my god!" I thought and took a step back, as Yuu suddenly jumped in between
A huge hole was now in his chest. You could even look through it. But thanks to his unnatural power it just closed up, like it was never there.
Now Ky Luc just seemed to become mad. Really mad.
"Here you go." I heard Crowley's voice from behind.
I glanced over my shoulder and noticed Crowley, tossing a sword towards-
"Ferid's upper half...?" I muttered and raised my eyebrows.
"Oh well looks like we managed to free him. Or more like, Ky Luc giving him free to save his own life." Kaze spoke up.
Ferid's body had slight burning wounds, but seemed still completely in tact. Except for his hair. His hair was as short as Yuu's.
Ferid used his sword to raise from the ground.
"Is everything proceeding, as I expected?" He asked with a grin.
I glanced over to Ky Luc. He seemed quiet confused, by Ferid's words.
"You're bluffing." He spoke up, not seeming to accept Ferid's words.
Ferid grinned.
"Maybe? Maybe not. Believe what you will." The vampire replied and looked over to his lower body, lying on the ground. "You! Get back here."
The next moment his lower body, stood up and ran past the brown haired noble, towards Ferid.
"My eyes!" I whined and looked away, covering my face.
"Ugh. I didn't need to see "that"." Kaze mumbled and covered his face too.
"Vampire's need to invent burn-safe clothes." I whispered.

At the corner of my eyes, I spotted Ky Luc fleeing with Krul.
I was about to turn around, before I heard Shinoa and Mitsuba scream in shock.
"Hah! You took that way better than these two." Kaze praised me with a laugh.
I hurried over to the others, as I noticed the two girls hiding behind the boy's back. I kept averting my gaze from Ferid.
"Looks like we did it." I said and crouched down to my squad sitting on the ground.
"Yeah. I'm glad." Yoichi replied with a grin.
"How are your hands Yuna?" Mika asked out of nowhere.
"Pretty good." I replied with a grin and held them in front of me, so he could see them.
"I see." He muttered with a slight smile.
Suddenly everyone backed away in shock.
"Whoa! What the heck!?" Mitsuba exclaimed.
"What?" Mika looked at them really confused.
"Am I dreaming? Did this just really happen?" Shinoa asked in shock.
"I can't believe this." Kimizuki whispered and shoved his glasses up.
"H-h actually did it." Yoichi shuttered.
"What the heck is wrong with you guys?!" Mika asked quiet irritated.
Suddenly Yuu patted the blonde's shoulder with a happy smile.
"You actually showed sympathy towards Yuna. That is a huge achievement!" He exclaimed with a grin.
"You actually practiced for that moment, didn't you?" I muttered and crossed my arms.
"Are that bad actors?" Shinoa asked with a laugh.
"No you are not. But it's really suspicious when Kimizuki acts as shocked as everyone else." I explained with a dry laugh.
Suddenly Yuu collapsed to the ground.
"Oh sh*t. Here we go again." I muttered, as everyone started panicking.

*A few hours later*

Yuu nearly died so he was brought into some kind of capsule machine, which should regenerate him.
I sighed quietly as I starred out the window, watching the trees gently swaying in the wind.
We ended up going to one of Guren's hideouts as much as I remember. Well, I never listen to their conversations anyways. What else could I expect to know then?

"I wonder..." I muttered my hand covering my mouth.
"What's wrong?" Kaze asked out of nowhere sitting down in front of me with a smile.
I raised my head and looked down at him, with a slight smile.
"You know I really appreciate it, that you're always here to listen to my worries and complaints. But..." I turned back to the window "Would you also listen to me, if you could also talk with others?"
Kaze didn't reply as fast as usual. That means he is thinking for a good reply.
"I mean. I know that you know me for like eight years now. But if you were able to talk with others and meet more people to share conversations with. Would you really have time to listen to me like you do now?" I glanced at him from the corner of my eyes "Because, I fell like, I will never be able to build up a deep friendship with anyone. I feel like I'm just a bother to everyone. I don't really talk with anyone of my squad like they do with each other. I just feel like a spare tire, which only comes to use when one of the other tires isn't working."
Kaze sighed deeply at my words.
"You know, sometimes I really wish I could slap you across your stupid face, to make you sjut up." He spoke up and glared at me.
I turned towards him with an irritated expression.
"If you want to be friends with them, why don't you just walk up to them and join their conversations, instead of sitting as far away as possible from them, so you can complain about how lonely you are? If you just sit there and do nothing but cry about how awful your life is, nothing will ever change." The demon explained and crossed his arms with a scowl.
"I don't know if you know this feeling, but can you relate to it, if I told you, that I sit there, because I want one of them to come over and invite me to join their conversation? I mean, I know that it would probably be better to go over to them by myself, but this way I just feel like I interfering into their conversation. If one of them would ask me to join them, then I know that they want me with them. So, as stupid as it is, I prefer sitting here for years, telling me that they don't want me with them, until they approach me." I replied with a dry laugh and turned back to the forest outside the window.
"Hmm..." Kaze tilted his head "Well, I guess I understand what you mean at some point. But have you ever thought about the fact, that they think that you want to be alone?"
"They never asked me, if I want to be alone or not. So it's their fault to think that way." I scoffed and crossed my arms.
"You are unbelievable." My demon sighed "Well I don't care about them. So I won't leave you, no matter if you stay alone or not." He replied with a warm smile.

"Thank you."
